Gavin Newsom: Governing by Political Consultant to Attain the Presidency

The once Golden State is turning into a third world country while the statewide media pretends this is normal

Multiple articles have been written to assure the country that California Gov. Gavin Newsom isn’t running against Joe Biden in the 2024 Presidential election. A more likely scenario is Newsom and his consultants are setting up an opportunity for the DNC and media to beg him to run.

Newsom recently told Politico he will support President Joe Biden in his 2024 reelection bid, but not many are buying his protestations.

Last summer began his objections: “I don’t know how many times you can say no in ways that others don’t say no,” Newsom told one journalist who asked if he is running. “Yeah, I mean, I have sub-zero interest,” Newsom said to another. “It’s not even on my radar.”

This is important because Gov. Newsom is not governing California. Governing would mean he is actually conducting the policy, actions, and affairs of the state and its people. Gavin Newsom is pretending to govern California and its 40 million residents – but all he has really accomplished is to hand out mountains of taxpayers’ money, while feigning to care.

The once Golden State is turning into a third world country while the statewide media pretends this is normal.

This is Gavin Newsom’s hair shirt to wear – he wanted to be the Governor of California, but perhaps as only a “check the boxes” type of chore in order to reach the ultimate prize. It’s the people who need to hold him accountable.

Also notable, instead of addressing the issues the California people are suffering under, while claiming a budget surplus, Newsom childishly went after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, picking a fight with a prominent national GOP politician. The ridiculous public fight kept Newsom’s name in the news, thanks to media advocates.

The 30-second ad ran on Fox News July 4th, and was directed at Newsom’s freedom-loving nemesis Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and his policies, drawing a stark contrast with California, which was still under Newsom’s COVID State of Emergency order of 820 days (in July).

“It’s Independence Day, so let’s talk about what’s going on in American,” Newsom says in the open.

“Freedom is under attack in your state.”

“Republican leaders are banning books, making it harder to vote, restricting speech in the classroom, even criminalizing women and doctors.”

California Governor Gavin Newsom’s California, which is still under his COVID State of Emergency from March 2020, now totaling 1,005 days of State of Emergency, can be summed up this way: Water rationing, grocery unions striking, homeless denied housing vouchers in Los Angeles, reparations for descendants of slaves, $7.00-per-gallon-gas, K-12 porn curriculum, COVID mandatory vaccine bills, Single Payer health coverage, public school teachers strike, energy shortage and the crime… There’s more, but this is a decent summary, all of which link to articles explaining, the Globe reported in April. The list since April has significantly expanded, but Gavin Newsom and his consultancy team continued to screech “budget surplus…” until it became a huge debt only months later.

One year ago the Globe reported, “California will have a $31 billion surplus next year,” according to the 2022-2023 California state budget Fiscal Outlook report compiled by the Legislative Analyst’s Office. The tide completely turned in one year.

Only two weeks ago, the Legislative Analyst’s Office reported California revenue is $41 billion below expectations, likely resulting in a massive $25 billion shortfall in the upcoming 2023-2024 state budget. The LAO recommends lawmakers start cutting the budget when they begin the January session.

There was never a budget surplus in California – not with over $1 trillion of unfunded public pension liability – not with hundreds of millions of dollars of historical EDD debt.

California is a state in crisis and decline. California has the highest taxes in the country and seriously declining public services, which were among the best in the nation at one time. Why would anyone want California’s top administrator to take these problems to Washington D.C. and spread California’s decline across the country. Look at what the Biden administration has done to harm the country, and then imagine Gavin Newsom in the same office.

The perfect storm for a recession may be upon us with high inflation, high taxes, high energy costs, high food costs, a sizable budget deficit, and now tens of thousands of big tech layoffs, which is the other issue California lawmakers and governor need to address. California’s mega-tech companies Meta, Twitter, Salesforce and Amazon (among others) are all cutting thousands of staff. The potential for economic ramifications to the cities and counties in which they reside, as well as the state, and the ripple effect these could have on startups and investment banks, looks to be immense.

“At least 20,300 U.S. tech workers were let go from their jobs in November, and more than 100,000 since the beginning of the year, according to Layoffs.fyi, which tracks layoffs in the field,” CNBC reported last month.

The downtowns of California’s largest cities still resemble ghost towns from the Covid lockdowns and riots of 2020. Businesses are fleeing the state or shutting down over rampant crime and issues with homeless sleeping in their doorways and on city sidewalks. Add to that the big tech layoffs and the additional loss of tax revenue, and some cities may find municipal bankruptcy the only feasible option.

This is Gavin Newsom’s California, while he and his political consultants continue to issue edicts and hand out cash and reparations promises. And taxing the “windfall profits” of the state’s oil companies will only exacerbate the budget deficit, historic high taxes, and fleeing companies.

The overall goal of Newsom’s “sweeping” climate change bills is “Achieving net zero GHG emissions” in the state, and that means outlawing oil and gas. So pretty much everything we use in modern society needs to be upended, overhauled, and restricted, according to the Gov. Newsom and the burgeoning industry of climate change hustlers.

For the governor who claims he is not running against Joe Biden for President in 2024, Newsom sure appears to be trying to clean up his record and image.

Newsom will be handing out hundreds of millions of dollars in more homeless funding to the mayors he blamed for not eradicating homelessness, not having learned that it is the absurdly excessive funding which attracts the homeless (and bureaucrats) like stray cats, because of how he and local leaders spend it. They don’t spend the funding on treatment, recovery and rehabilitation for the drug-addicted mentally-ill homeless transients, but on building homes, renovating hotels and motels, and expanding local government with “programs.” These “programs” are unaccountable by design. They just spread the money around allowing bureaucrats to claim they are doing something about the homeless crisis.

Take some time to read about Gavin Newsom’s real record on policy. Click on the links to remind yourself of the bills he signed into law, and abuse of executive orders. Remember this when he pretends he is not running for President in 2024 – he just wants to be begged to run.

  1. Another great case, Katy Grimes, for the needless ruins of a once-great and gorgeous California under our truly bizarre and destructive “governor” Gavin Newsom. If our vote doesn’t count here anymore at least we can warn others as Godzilla Gavin gears up to trample the rest of the American countryside.

I did look at all the links again and recommend everyone take the time to remind themselves where we are with this lunatic and where we’ve been, to prepare for battles to come. It is mind-boggling how the wreckage has piled up and continues to pile up. Then, at every turn, our “governor” who, under NO definition of the word has ever governed, doesn’t soberly address the fallout from the multitude of crises HE has created, but consciously, purposely, proceeds to make matters hideously worse. Every time. Massive, predicable economic shortfall next year in economically vulnerable California? Go-go “slavery reparations!” is his response. Billions spent on ineffective homeless policy? Throw more billions at it! Etc. As you know.

Someone who lived in S.F. when Newsom was mayor posted this elsewhere and it struck me:
“This is exactly how he ran San Francisco when he was mayor. He would go out of his way to do a 180 of the will of the people. It’s almost like all these people who bow to him still are involved in S&M. I don’t know what else to call it..very very weird sick submission. The rest of us who are normal are left scratching our heads.”

  2. This article is 100% accurate, and SHOULD BE published NATIONWIDE so that EVERY American citizen and resident is made AWARE that this LOSER of a Governor is ‘all hair and no substance” and represents a SERIOUS THREAT to the economic well-being of anyone who is unfortunate enough to be affected by his “governance”…

it is ALSO important to note that he is ALSO A WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM acolyte, just like Justin Trudeau and Jacinda Ardern, two of the MOST DRACONIAN Covidiot politicians worldwide…which explains partially why California is still operating under an “emergency declaration” after almost THREE YEARS since the plandemic was released upon the world by the globalists…

  3. 5th generation Californian, family and friends is all that’s keeping the wife and me here. If Prop 13 goes away we’re out of here!

  4. It’s pretty amazing how stupid the residents of this state are.. We have a governor ( and I use this term quite loosely ) who has never had a real job, in charge of running a state with almost 40 million people. That, in and of itself is absolutely mind boggling… We can only hope and pray that the citizens of the rest of our once great country are able to see through his hair gel, and what an empty suit this guy actually is…
