Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays California Globe Readers

Our sincerest thank you for your support

By Katy Grimes, December 24, 2021 4:30 pm

You know that feeling you get when you receive a handwritten note or letter thanking you for something? Well, that thankfulness and appreciation is how we at California Globe feel for our readers, and for those who leave comments on our articles – even from dissenters.

Whether we agree or not, the discussion is valuable.

I receive frequent emails from readers, and endeavor to respond to each and every one. We always appreciate your feedback.

We are grateful for your support and your involvement. Our daily work of obsessively chronicling California politics can be challenging, but it is important. California Globe takes pride in delivering authoritative, comprehensive coverage of the people, policies and pageantry of a most magnificent state. And yes, while California is experiencing serious difficulties, the Golden State is not history. Yet.

Providing our readers independent, thoughtful coverage, important news often overlooked, and the unvarnished truth of what’s going on in the California Legislature, from the State Capitol in Sacramento, is critical. And our readers know why.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays.

  1. MERRY CHRISTMAS KATY and FRENS at CALIFORNIA GLOBE… and dashing HANS GRUBER!
That you stand firm, research, and practice journalistic integrity (and haven’t left the state), is proof Truth will prevail, and hope for a better California is at hand. Thank you all! May all your Christmas dreams come true!

  2. Katy and the entire California Globe staff, wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and joyous holiday season! I am very thankful for your publication .
As people seek the truth and look for alternative reporting from the legacy media. The time and dedication you all take in reporting stories is invaluable!

Hans Gruber I hope there are many bones waiting in your stocking, who’s a good boy????

    Blessings to you all.

  3. What a wonderful thing! So many of us are grateful to you, Katy Grimes, and to Evan Symon and to ALL the contributing reporters and writers at The Globe for the amazing work you do, for telling the truth and digging for the answers, so rare now in California journalism. Wishing you all the love and light of this precious season.
    Merry Christmas!

  4. Merry Christmas to Katy Grimes and CA Globe! I appreciate the journalism reporting and coverage on the issues ordinary media wouldn’t normally cover.

  5. Merry Christmas Katy! And also to Evan! Thanks for keeping me informed with all the great journalism that you all do. I read the Globe everyday and I can’t imagine being without it. I also look forward to listening to you and Phil Cowan every Wednesday morning on 1380am the Answer. Best cup of coffee of the week!

  6. I too am grateful. I’m grateful that the Globe does allow dissenting opinions. Nearly all the commenters here are conservatives.
Because I’m not a conservative, thus disagreeing with most of the Globe’s opinions, right wingers here like to call me a troll. They are unable to handle a different opinion.
Thanks again to the Globe for allowing ALL opinions to be heard. Happy Holidays.

      1. Yes, we could go back and revisit his past comments. If W were sincere in his beliefs he would back them up with facts. He resorts to ad hominem insults, criticizes typos and hastily written comments, essentially always on the petty attack. That is a perverse explanation of providing a different opinion. He them turns himself into the victim. I have to say, it provides for a good laugh on a rare occasion and this is one of those occasions.

      2. No YOU cannot! Your constant insults, name-calling and lack of proof for your claims shows you can’t prove anything you say.

        1. I have backed up my facts not “claims” quite a few times. Your response is “right wing propaganda” and “right wing lies” when you do respond. Most of the time when I give my FACTS you don’t respond at all because you know you are wrong or I have caught you in one of your many lies.

          1. When I provided a link showing you proof that the Omicron variant has killed people, you never replied to it. That’s because you know I was right and you were wrong..
Your FACTS are nothing but your own opinions.

    1. W,

We understand that you are not a Conservative. We can handle different opinions but when you start calling Newsom “the best governor ever” and cheer everything that he has done but then rant on us when we point out his issues, then we have issues.
Yes, I called you a “brown noser” based upon your posts. I call you a Troll because you only comment on articles that have, in your opinion, positive information on Newsom. Same with CNN. Why didn’t you comment on the articles about the sexual freaks at CNN and their issues..??
Your claims, about the unvaccinated, are straight from liberal media outlets but the facts from the CDC show something different. People of color, especially Blacks, are hesitant to get the vaccines because of the sh*t perpetrated on them decades ago. Yes, scientists (follow the science right..??) experimented on Blacks stating that the shots they were being given were vitamins when in fact they were not. So, if you knew past family members experimented on, would you be 100% fine getting the shot..?? The other thing, is that when the Biden Administration started rolling out the shots, there was a lot of comments about distributing them to BIPOC people first. From those BIPOC people I know, that was a warning sign that the Biden Administration could have been using them as guinea pigs. Still think all Conservatives are Anti-Vax people..??
You want to lock down California due to Omicron, but why..?? Does destroying additional small businesses justify the lock down when information from around the world doesn’t support it..??
My problem with your comments, and please understand that between my wife and I with almost 60 years of State and Local Government experience working for and with Elected Officials, is that you take their statements as gospel. Politicians spend most of their lives trying to please everyone for that almighty campaign dollar not realizing how they take money from both sides trying to please each of them. In other words, it is hard to tell when a Politician is stating the actual truth.
As I said in another reply to you, the Governor doesn’t care about your opinion and will probably never see the comments your sent to him. Only his staff will see them and are probably not even summarizing comments to him. He, like most if not all Politicians on both sides of the aisle, only listens to those who bring him the $$$ to support positive legislation to his causes or donations to their spouses favorite charity.
I could go on and on but it will probably won’t change you or your opinion about me. I will attempt to stop referring to you as the “Globe Troll” if, at the same time, bring some valid

    2. pFellow pFaithful, I hope you had a wonderful Christmask. I look forward to receiving our 69th Holy Elixir injection from Lord pFauci (420 masks be upon him) next year. May Daddy, I mean High Priest Newsom (vaccines be upon him) lockdown hard on us.

  7. Merry (belated) Christmas Katy, Evan and all the fantastic contributors to this fantastic website!
Your work in investigative reporting is invaluable to anyone practicing critical thinking regarding the (mis)management of California resources and governance.
Wishing you all a peaceful, healthy holiday and thank you for sharing Hans’ picture! Such a handsome lad…
Let’s hope and pray for positive change in California governance and management in 2022…
