Pelosi Calls Newsom ‘Great Governor,’ Says She Has Her ‘Own Operation’ To Defeat Recall

According to Nancy Pelosi this grassroots recall is a ‘nuisance’

Joe and Kamala are going to be campaigning for beleaguered California Governor Gavin Newsom, who is facing a contentious recall election next month. Now House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she has “[her] own operation” to defeat the recall effort.

The Daily Caller reports:

“We respect it,” Pelosi said Thursday of the recall effort to oust Newsom, “But we do not like it, and we will defeat it,” Fox News reported. “I want everybody to get out the vote,” Pelosi added. “I have my own operation working to get out the vote [and] making calls to defeat the recall of our governor.”

The Globe reported President Joe Biden announced this week that he is now officially backing California Governor Gavin Newsom in the recall election, one of the largest possible endorsements that the beleaguered Governor could hope to get in the election.

But since late June, Governor Newsom’s margin of victory has slipped from a double digit lead to only a narrow 48%-46% lead, with his overall popularity slipping away below 50% for the first time since January when COVID-19 new case figures were still very high, from the November/December 2020 spike in cases.

The Globe readers weren’t impressed with Biden’s pronouncement. “Biden states Gov. Gavin is building back the economy – the same guy that shut down businesses for 15 months, is the best guy to continue the job! I guess that is code for he has not fully carried out our plan to weaken the economy,” one reader commented.

Pelosi’s rationale is equally peculiar and distorted as Biden’s: “He’s been a great governor, and I’d like to see this, shall we say, nuisance — but it’s part of what you can do, so we respect that — but we have to also get out the vote,” Pelosi said. “Reject the recall. It’s not good for you. It’s not good for children and other living things,” she added, mentioning Newsom’s “breakthrough” policies, like free school meals, Daily Caller reported.

Free school meals are important to many low-income kids, but Newsom didn’t exactly invent the program – they’ve been offered since 1946 when the National School Lunch Act in 1946 was passed. And what’s a “breakthrough” policy Speaker Pelosi?

According to Nancy Pelosi this grassroots recall is a “nuisance,” because it’s being used against a Democrat Governor from San Francisco.

Pelosi says the recall is “not good for children and other living things,” what ever that means. Is she referring to all of the woodland critters burned alive in California’s wildfires?

According to Pelosi, Newsom is a good governor because he gives away free food to hungry children. That’s the best she could come up with to justify not recalling him.

Pelosi’s statements were not so cleverly disguised to mean she has no intention of allowing the people of California to decide this matter.

But Pelosi is hardly revered in California outside of San Francisco County, and the people are pretty burned out with the undue influence San Francisco Democrats have in the state, and in Washington, D.C.

  1. Ahh, the Madame Speaker really had to dig in the bottom of her fancy ice cream drawer to come up with what makes Gov. Gav such a good governor, free lunch for the children! You know when they pander to the kids, their guy is in trouble.

At this point she is appealing to the low information voter. I doubt the low information voter will even take their ballot out of the envelope. I think those that have lost businesses and jobs are on to her, but we will see.

I have one question for Aunt Nance, does the long standing free lunch come with Jenni’s Ice Cream or a Haagen-Daz bar?

    1. Come on now, CaliGirl, you know it’s Ben and Jerry’s. I’m still confused about “other living things” being hurt by the Recall of an incompetent man in our state house! Maybe she is referring to illegal immigrants or us low life unsophisticated constituents. All in good humor!

      1. Ha, ha Stacy,
Ben and Jerry’s make sense, two liberal hippies ice cream is good enough for the kids. It has to be pushed on someone. That may border on child abuse????

  2. Cali Girl and Stacy: This is where Aunt Nancy gets the “not good for children and other living things.” It was an anti-war flower children mantra from the 60s, so Nancy is looking for the support of the drug-and-age-addled S.F. hippies, her apparent base. Which is really reaching back into the archives with a pathetic desperation if you ask me:
“War is Not Healthy for Children and Other Living Things” (poster images)

    1. Thanks for the image and reminder ShowandTell,

I would modernize the slogan for today’s state of affairs here in California:
????????“Newsom is not healthy for children and other living things”????????

Thanks San Fran Nan for the new slogan????

    2. WOW Showandtell, I had no idea the “other living things” had a history. Thanks for that bit of information. She is reaching far back! I find it interesting.

  3. But actually I like the Katy Grimes’ remark on the mantra better:
“Pelosi says the recall is “not good for children and other living things,” what ever that means. Is she referring to all of the woodland critters burned alive in California’s wildfires?”
    No kidding!

  4. I can’t help but notice in the picture at the top of the article, is that two sets of eyebrows that Pelosi has? Two many facelifts for San Fran Nan!

      1. Lol, true!
Greedy for ice cream, votes, money, properties, stocks, fancy masks and matching scarves. That is the short list!????

    1. OMG John the Patriot, I went back and looked, you have me laughing. No emotions show on that face, its frozen! You are so right looks like 4 brows. Still laughing!

  5. “I have my own operation working to get out the vote [and] making calls to defeat the recall of our governor.”

I don’t know about anyone else but I found the statement that Pelosi has her own operation working to defeat the recall extremely chilling.

    1. Yes, Full Stop, a chilling statement indeed.
The same operation that helped Ol’ Joe get into office?

  6. Remember Pilosi’s own daughter described this creature as someone who would “cut your head off…”
    https://thepoliticalinsider.com/nancy-pelosi-daughter/
Pilosi is a monster and will cheat and still to maintain the corrupt demoncrat rule in California. If Newsom survives the recall it will only be due to systemic electoral corruption. Pelosi does not respect any laws and despises the common person. Pelosi says she has “[her] own operation” to defeat the recall effort…I think this means cheating and using just enough illegal votes to maintain her tyranny. Pelosi is “the queen of hearts”…off with your heads!

  7. The only plan she has is to flee the country as she knows better than everyone else that her coupe is failing and that she is going to be rounded up and jailed (soon) for treason if she does not run. She will not succeed.

  8. “I have my own operation working to get out the vote [and] making calls to defeat the recall of our governor.”

Dominion Voting Systems to the rescue!!!

Read the county by county penetration for the coverage of the system with the backdoor exploits…

Enablement Systems would be another apt name…

  9. Translation of Aunt Nancy’s declarations: “The nomenklatura has spoken – trust us.”
(The nomenklatura were the ruling, privileged class in the “classless” Soviet Union)

  10. If “lost Afghanistan “ Biden is the most powerful endorsement Gavin Nuisance has he should resign and Pelosi could cancel her “special project” of stuffing midnight ballot boxes!
