The San Francisco City and County Board of Supervisors just passed a Resolution declaring the National Rifle Association “a domestic terrorist organization.”

“Resolution declaring that the National Rifle Association is a domestic terrorist organization and urging other cities, states, and the federal government to do the same” reads the Resolution.

The Resolution says:

WHEREAS, The United States is plagued by an epidemic of gun violence, including over 36,000 deaths, and 100,000 injuries each year, and

WHEREAS, Every day approximately 100 Americans are killed with guns, and

WHEREAS, There has been more than one mass shooting per day in the United States in 2019, and

WHEREAS, The gun homicide rate in the United States is 25 times higher than any other high-income country in the world, and

WHEREAS, On July 28, 2019, Gilroy, California became the 243rd community in the United States to be the victim of a mass shooting, and

WHEREAS, Stephen Romero, age 6, Keyla Salazar, age 13, and Trevor Irby, age 25, were murdered in the senseless act of gun violence that day, and

WHEREAS, There have been at least three mass shootings since the events in Gilroy, and the number continues to grow, and

WHEREAS, Reported hate crimes have increased by double digits since 2015, and

WHEREAS, There are over 393,000,000 guns in the United States, which exceeds the country’s current total population, and

WHEREAS, Our elected representatives, including the President, have taken an oath swearing to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

Notably, the Resolution also claims the NRA “musters its considerable wealth and organizational strength to promote gun ownership and incite gun owners to acts of violence.”

The NRA said on Twitter, “This is a reckless assault on a law-abiding organization, it’s members, and the freedoms they all stand for. We remain undeterred – guided by our values and belief in those who want to find real solutions to violence.”

The NRA also said, “This stunt is an effort to distract from the problems facing #SanFrancisco, such as rampant homelessness, drug abuse and petty crime, to name a few. Their wasting taxpayer dollars to declare 5M law-abiding Americans domestic terrorists, and it’s shameful.”

The Resolution mentions the United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, but fails to mention the Second Amendment, which guarantees “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Lastly, the Resolution calls not only for a ban on doing business with the NRA, they “encourage all other jurisdictions, including other cities, states, and the federal government, to adopt similar positions.”

FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City and County of San Francisco should take every reasonable step to assess the financial and contractual relationships our vendors and contractors have with this domestic terrorist organization; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City and County of San Francisco should take every reasonable step to limit those entities who do business with the City and County of San Francisco from doing business with this domestic terrorist organization; and be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City and County of San Francisco should encourage all other jurisdictions, including other cities, states, and the federal government, to adopt similar positions.

It’s interesting that the San Francisco Supervisors think that people who belong to the NRA and use their guns for target practice at the shooting range are the problem, and not those obtaining guns illegally.

  1. One more reason to never come back to San Francisco. This beautiful city is slowly being destroyed by its politicians and liberal lunatics!

    1. These so-called “supervisors” are sick. They allow illegals to live there and kill Americans and that’s okay with them. They themselves are a domestic terrorist organization that has control of the local govt. The people need to stand up and tell them enough is enough. What a cesspool.

    2. Infringing on rights as guaranteed in the 2nd amendment, the nra National Rifle Association are not domestic “terrorists” the police are foreign enemies of the people and protect the “system” for these scum politicians who abrogate rights based off fear not logic. The FBI’s business model is based on “false flags” to incite this fear amongst the people to perpetuate this propaganda that we the “people” need more control, when the actual criminals are running the show. It’s time America stood up to these self righteous asshats and kick em out of office. Drain this swamp and all of them and start over, including the legislative branch and judicial branch. This whole system is a lie fabricated on fear. They have no “authority” over man/woman” the living. Only dead corporate fictions deal with DEAD PEOPLE., as all corporations are dead. ALL RISE, who rose from the dead? Jesus, so when a bailiff stares ALL RISE in the court room and you rise, you just declared to the court that you are dead, now they have jurisdiction over you. The whole system is spells and everyone keeps falling for it. DOG LATIN LOOKS LIKE THIS. Not english, that the judiciary uses against you. ALL CAPS NAME is a dead fiction legal entity created by agency, not your NAME.GET IT? AS in All corps are dead operating in bankruptcy?

  2. Please leave the Nation. Send us the American people who want to be in the USA and keep your crazy liberal ideology to yourself. The NRA are not terrorists but you are by basic definition.

    “a terrorist organization”

  3. Anyone who believes in the Second Amendment needs to boycott San Francisco. I, for one, shall never visit there again. Vote with your wallet and let them know that there are consequences to their actions. #SFBoycottStrong

  4. Having to admit I was born in SF is a bitter pill to swallow. At least the city can brag about having feces-encrusted streets.

  5. So, are all of those people ready to face class action lawsuits by innocent NRA members if their names are placed on any type of government watch list, or if they face any abuse by authorities from this reckless and treasonous act? I’d like to sit on those juries. When people in government do things like this to intimidate and punish those with opposing political, social or economic views, we are one step away from being Nazi Germany or Stalin’s USSR. They should all lose their jobs and their personal holdings for committing such a crime.

  6. “musters its considerable wealth and organizational strength to promote gun ownership and incite gun owners to acts of violence.”

Wow, these supervisors pulled this out of asses. NRA promotes gun safety. It does not tell your politicians what legislation to draft or vote for. Provide one shred of proof or evidence that the NRA incites gunownere to acts of violence. Most All the mass shooters have been motivated by liberal rhetoric NOT NRA members who are the least likely to shoot some in cold blood.. If anything, this type of resolution incites progressives to acts of violence.

One things for certain, NRA members are not likely to vote for a liberal. So these supervisors don’t like guns or anyone who does. Go figure…

  7. California, a state that banned straws but gives out needles? A state that lets felon illegals run free? The second amendment is all right as American citizens. It is to ensure that the government can never overtake the people. But that is exactly what California wants to do, overtake the people! You will never ever see us helpless like Venezuela! NEVER!

  8. What a shame and an embarassment to the people of California. Labeling one of the oldest advocates for constitutional rights in our coutry as terrorist is a violation of their duty as citizens and as representatives of other American citizens who enjoy the ability to say publicly such unenlightened and negative statements about an organization that advocates for one of our many inalienable rights, enumerated in our bill of rights, a part of our Constitution which they have a duty to uphold and to defend.
