What Is in California’s Civil Procedure Code?

There are numerous divisions, parts, chapters, and articles containing hundreds of code sections, or individual statutes

The California Code of Civil Procedure is one of 29 Codes that contain state statutes. The CCP, as it is often referred to, contains several sections of general provisions, followed by 4 Parts. There are also numerous divisions, parts, chapters, and articles containing hundreds of code sections, or individual statutes. The following is a broad overview of the Code of Civil Procedure.

There are 19 Titles, 5 Divisions, 138 Chapters, and 160 Articles.

PART 3. OF SPECIAL PROCEEDINGS OF A CIVIL NATURE [Sections 1063 – 1822.60]

There are 17 Titles, 51 Chapters, and 119 Articles.

PART 4. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS [Sections 1855 – 2107]

There are 7 Titles, 27 Chapters, and 43 Articles.
