Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi is traveling to Madrid, Spain this week, along with a group of Democrat lawmakers, to support the UN climate change agenda. The United Nations is holding the UN COP25 environmental summit focusing on climate change, and Pelosi is leading the congressional delegates.

“On behalf of the U.S. Congress, I am proud to travel to COP25 to reaffirm the commitment of the American people to combating the climate crisis,” Pelosi wrote in an official statement.

Despite President Donald J. Trump pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement, Pelosi is charging ahead with the Democrats push for Climate Change Agenda policies. In a statement Saturday, Pelosi said,  “On behalf of the United States Congress, I extend my gratitude to the Spanish government for hosting this critical meeting, and for elevating the priority of the climate crisis to the forefront of the international conversation.”

On November 4, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said, “The United States began the process to withdraw from the Paris Agreement. Per the terms of the Agreement, the United States submitted formal notification of its withdrawal to the United Nations. The withdrawal will take effect one year from delivery of the notification.”

However, Rep Sean Casteen, a Democrat from Illinois who is traveling with Pelosi, tweeted a video about the trip to Madrid. In the footage, Casteen said, “We are still in the Paris agreement.”

Speaker Pelosi also sent out a Tweet: “Today, our Bicameral Congressional Delegation arrived in Madrid, Spain for the 2019 United Nations Framework on Climate Change. We were welcomed by Ambassador Duke Buchan III & the Marine Security Guard Detachment at the @USembassyMadrid. #COP25   #TimeForAction“

According to a UN emissions report, members of the UN believe the world will be 5.8 degrees Fahrenheit warmer by 2100 than pre-industrial times, with dramatic consequences for life on Earth. The goal of the climate agreement is to reduce the Earth’s temperature increase by 2.9 degrees to 2.7 degrees.

White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney also announced in November that climate change would not be on the agenda at the 2020 G7 Summit hosted by the United States.

Trump opposes the Paris Agreement claiming it hurts Americans and enriches foreign countries.

In October, Trump spoke to natural gas executives and employees in Pittsburgh, repeating his commitment to withdrawing from the Paris climate accord.

Climate Change Crisis supporters want to eventually end the use of natural gas and force a reliance on electricity or other renewable resources. Under Agenda 21, a non-binding action plan of the United Nations which derived from the Earth Summit held in Brazil in 1992,

Pelosi, who was in congress in 1992, supported the Agenda 21 UN Action Plan.  Agenda 21 has been widely endorsed in European nations. Opponents of the climate change agenda say it is a push for a totalitarian rule to push people to move to the cities, an attack on rural living, and destroys American sovereignty.

California is moving along with the push for Climate Change policies by attacking the use of natural gas resources. Cities up and down the Golden State are passing ordinances that will prohibit or phase out the use of natural gas over time. Proponents of climate change policies say natural gas is a significant contributor to climate change. Progressive leaders want the public to rely only on wind, solar, or electricity for power.

Bloomberg reported President Trump would send from his administration a small delegation of career diplomats to represent the U.S. at the UNCOP25. Trump is also set to head to London next week to meet with other world leaders and mark the 70th anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) alliance.

  1. Is she walking there? Is there some reason they can’t teleconference? How is this group of elitists, flying around in jets helping? What a hypocrite.
