Certain words and phrases dealing with remedies in civil actions

California’s Code of Civil Procedure, in Part 2, Title 7, Chapter 2, Article 1, defines certain words and phrases dealing with remedies in civil actions. Section 511.010 states that the definitions in this article govern the construction of this chapter.
Section 511.020 defines the word “complaint” to include a cross-complaint.
Section 511.030 defines the word “defendant” to include a cross-defendant.
Section 511.040 defines the term “farm products.”
Section 511.050 defines the word “inventory.”
Section 511.060 defines the term “levying officer.”
Section 511.070 defines the word “person.”
Section 511.080 defines the word “plaintiff.”
Section 511.090 defines the term “probable validity.”
Section 511.100 defines the term “pubic entity.”
