Eric Swalwell Campaign Takes Nearly $15K from CCP-Tied Law Firm

Where is Fang Fang?

Rep. Eric Swalwell’s California gubernatorial campaign recently received almost $10,000 from the California-based office of a top Beijing law firm that has deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party, and another $5,000 from a Chinese national, Fox News is reporting Friday:

A filing that was released this week reveals that Swalwell’s campaign received $9,999 from the DeHeng Law Offices PC on Dec. 30 and said that the office is based in Pleasanton, Calif. The law firm’s website reveals that this office is their “Silicon Valley Office” and appears to only have one lawyer who works there.

Keliang “Clay” Zhu, who donated $5,000 to Swalwell’s gubernatorial campaign this past November and previously donated over $10,000 to his House campaigns, is a partner at the law firm and is the only name listed for the “Silicon Valley Office,” according to their website.

Oh my. Eric Swalwell already had serious issues when he dated accused Chinese Communist government spy Fang Fang, also known as Christine Fang, who successfully infiltrated a number of Democrat congressional campaigns in California, and even served as a fundraising bundler for Swalwell. Not only did Fang Fang fundraise for Swalwell, she was also sleeping with him.

She even placed an intern in his Washington, D.C. office.

Fang also made serious inroads with Democrats Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI). Gabbard and Swalwell both ran for president in the last election cycle, Townhall reported.

Axios originally broke the sordid story in 2020:

A Chinese national named Fang Fang or Christine Fang, targeted up-and-coming local politicians in the Bay Area and across the country who had the potential to make it big on the national stage.

Through campaign fundraising, extensive networking, personal charisma, and romantic or sexual relationships with at least two Midwestern mayors, Fang was able to gain proximity to political power, according to current and former U.S. intelligence officials and one former elected official.

Among the most significant targets of Fang’s efforts was Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.).

Fang took part in fundraising activity for Swalwell’s 2014 re-election campaign, according to a Bay Area political operative and a current U.S. intelligence official. Swalwell’s office was directly aware of these activities on its behalf, the political operative said. That same political operative, who witnessed Fang fundraising on Swalwell’s behalf, found no evidence of illegal contributions.

U.S. officials believe Fang’s real reason for being in the U.S was to gather political intelligence and to influence rising U.S. officials on China-related issues.

Negligently, then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi appointed Swalwell to the Intel committee, even after the FBI had warned her he had been in a dangerous relationship with a Chinese spy.

Swalwell’s Chinese spy spent years trying to get Democrats sympathetic to the Chinese Communist Party elected to Congress. So how can Swalwell sit on the Intel committee when he spent years in bed financially with Communist Chinese spies? How could Sen. Dianne Feinstein sit on the Senate Intel committee when she had a Communist Chinese spy on her staff for 20 years? In 2018, it was revealed a 20-year driver for California U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein was a spy, while she was the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

And now Swallwell’s back at China’s trough feeding on CCP funding.

Fox News continued:

Michael Lucci, a top China expert and the State Armor Action founder and CEO, sounded the alarm over the donations and called for Congress to reform the “campaign finance laws to define donations made on behalf of foreign adversaries to be bribes.”

“Congressman Swalwell must finally stop playing footsie with America’s foremost adversary: Communist China. First was his fiery romance with Fang Fang, a CCP spy, and now he’s caught taking campaign checks from Communist China’s favorite big law firm,” Lucci told Fox News Digital. “Congress must fix this problem by reforming campaign finance laws to define donations made on behalf of foreign adversaries to be bribes, and to impose criminal penalties upon those who make such donations. And Congress should go further by altogether prohibiting the acceptance of payment for any lobbying or other influence work on behalf of an American adversary, as the State of Texas did last year.”

The United States has a serious problem with China financially influencing U.S. politicians and government. Remember Gov. Gavin Newsom’s gift to the CCP when he made a $1.5 billion no-bid purchase of paper masks from Chinese electric bus maker BYD during his Covid statewide lockdowns?

A billionaire Chinese real estate developer provided San Francisco Public Works Director Mohammed Nuru with lavish hotel stays and a $2,070 bottle of wine. The developer is chief executive of R&F Properties, one of the world’s biggest luxury hotel owners, according to a source with direct knowledge of the matter, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Why is San Francisco called “Beijing-by-the-Bay?” the Globe rhetorically asked.

The late San Francisco political power broker Rose Pak was an executive director with the China Overseas Exchange Association (COEA), the Epoch Times reported. A Foreign Policy Association article states, “COEA’s leadership is composed entirely of Chinese Communist Party officials representing various foreign affairs and ‘overseas propaganda’ agencies of the Chinese government.”

“Pak is long-suspected of being a key player on Beijing’s team in San Francisco.”

To people in San Francisco, Pak was known as a power broker who made significant contributions to the city, such as electing the first Chinese-American mayor in San Francisco, Ed Lee. Actually, Pak was integral in Gavin Newsom’s decision to appoint Ed Lee interim Mayor when Newsom was elected Lt. Governor in 2011. She was also close with Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom and Willie Brown.

Rose Pak “has enjoyed friendly relations with China’s government and escorted mayoral delegations to the Far East over the years,” the San Francisco Chronicle reported in 2007.

When confronted, Swalwell claims he cut ties with Fang Fang. And he was removed from the House Intelligence Committee by then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy over his Dangerous Liaisons a suspected Chinese spy, which should have been a career-ending event.

  1. Wow, that circus clown Eric Swalwell can’t stop playing footsies with China even when, as a result of his own starved-for-attention campaign style —- which only ends up showcasing his extreme foolishness —- puts him in the spotlight. What a bozo.
