‘Reinventing’ Gavin Newsom: Two Podcasts and New Substack Do Not

Newsom is trying to distance himself from himself before America figures out who he really is

It is apparent that California Governor Gavin Newsom is attempting a makeover – not with a new hairstyle or summer color pallet, but a total image renewal, as he applies for a new job. He’s “reinventing” himself hoping that the rest of the country never sees what Californians abhor.

Gavin Newsom is trying to distance himself from himself.

Experts warn that too many attempts to reinvent or remake yourself, aiming at erasing or discarding your past, won’t work, and instead recommend leaning into personal acceptance. One must first have self-awareness in order to “lean” into personal acceptance. I’m not sure that would work for Newsom.

“Self-reinvention” can help pursue a new career, develop healthier habits, foster deeper relationships, reach new personal objectives, enhance wellbeing, and work toward aspirations with clarity and purpose. That’s a lot of psychobabble.

But Note-to-Gavin: the idea is that you can’t erase who you are or your past. Reinvention only works with genuineness, trustworthiness, veracity, truthfulness, and sincerity toward personal improvement – all traits missing from Gavin’s personality.

When Newsom launched his new podcast in February, the Globe reported:

California’s Governor is so desperate to control the narrative and news surrounding his tenuous job and multiple crises, he admits it:

“We need to change the conversation. And that’s why I’m launching a new podcast,” Newsom said onX. “And this is going to be anything but the ordinary ‘politician’ podcast. I’m going to be talking with people I directly disagree with, as well as people I look up to. But more important than anything else, I’ll be talking with you, the listener.”

Newsom is trying to distance himself from himself.

So, Newsom already tried to change the conversation on a podcast. But that didn’t work.

Gov. Newsom just introduced a new Substack site to “break through the noise,” and combat “disinformation” from the right.

Pot, meet kettle. Gavin Newsom is a walking, talking disinformation machine. Yet he’s trying to control the narrative.

“There are so many mistakes and misinformation out there,” Newsom said. “There’s a lot of noise. I think you know that. The real issue is how to engage in meaningful conversations amid all this chaos. That’s why I’m launching it on Substack. Join me to keep that conversation going at this critical moment in our history.”

Gavin Newsom talks in public relations cliches. He drips with insincerity and pretense. Has Gavin ever even had a meaningful conversation?

He knows how to put on the costume, look the role, speak in annoying cliches, and issue pretentious press statements, but running the State of California has been a real drag for Newsom. And no one appreciates him (he would tell you).

And notably, Gavin Newsom talks more lovingly about protecting criminal illegal aliens and convicted criminals than he does of California’s hard working, tax paying, honorable citizens.

How to breakthrough all of that noise

What noise is Gov. Newsom speaking of? The “noise” coming from the White House and Congress overturning his gas-car ban, and all-electric vehicle mandate? His power struggle with President Donald Trump over the National Guard? Newsom’s gas-car ban, his soft-on-crime policies, his homeless-rights initiatives, his boys-in-girls sports absurdity, his pro-trans-kids policies, his illegal-immigrant Medi-Cal insolvency disaster, his very costly climate-change grift… what does any of this have to do with running the State of California?

Most Californians care about the failing public schools, the disastrous roads and highways, the state-induced water shortages, unaffordable energy costs, public safety and crime (as all 58 counties passed Prop. 36 to make crime illegal again in CA), high personal taxes, high corporate taxes, highest-in-the-nation gas taxes, kids being trans-groomed at school, government overreach… where do we stop?

Newsom, with two podcasts, and now a Substack, is throwing up distractions creating busy work for himself, rather than actually paying attention to the issues California residents are concerned about. But we’re use to that… America is not, and wants no part of it.

  1. The political machine Newsom is a critical component of is  extremely powerful and has already facilitated the populace’ disenfranchisement from all control of their and California’s destiny.

Last year the California Supreme Court ruled the electorate has no standing to moderate legislative spending? This alone combined with compromised elections assures the comrades the control their calculated efforts and acts have garnered them in abundance.

Newsom’s overwhelming popularity is being enhanced by the counter legacy culture he embraced and enhanced:  Donald Trump’s faintheartedness may have assured Newsom his presidential aspirations. Gutsy Newsom tripled down on Trump; Trump cowered. Newsom possesses more guts than slaughter house and they’re serving him well. We apathetic lethargic complacent Americans and Californians remained passave and apathetic when a Boston Tea Party like response was critical to our survival.

  2. This is right in character for Gavin Newsom, and we definitely want sensible Americans, as many as possible, to see it. Seems to me most of the nation is generally getting what a miserable failure and laughingstock this guy is.

Oh yes, poor sad Newsom, so bored with actually doing his job, because he can’t see the point of it. How does serving Californians benefit ME ME ME? he daily asks his mirror. But he completely lacks imagination in the stuff he uses to distract himself and (he thinks) us —- the two podcasts, the new substack (!!!), never mind his embarrassing appearances on national media —- because copying the tools successfully used by his opposition isn’t going to work for him. Why would it? Who would even listen to or watch his stupid podcast and who would read his stupid substack, that he probably doesn’t even write, except for people who want to mock him? Because, let’s face it, the man is entertainingly mockable? I suspect even his diehard supporters, whoever the heck THEY are, would be bored by his podcast and substack output and pass on it.

Newsom says to himself, “Trump had a mugshot and made it work, Trump went on Joe Rogan’s podcast and gained numbers and new groups,” etc. But Newsom completely overlooks that he has NOTHING TO SAY, he has no integrity, he lies incessantly, he has a horrible track record politically and morally, he only cares about the photo op, about the clothes, about the hair, about how much money is spent but not about results, and on and on and on. He doesn’t see this, because he CAN’T see it.

So go nuts, Mr. Narcissistic Personality Disorder, just keep doing what you do, and good luck to you.

  3. I just wonder how many empty platitudes Newsolini emotes will reveal what an empty suit he is! How did that work out for your buddy, Kamala?
    Lean in…

Get to the heart of the matter…
    Democracy is under attack…
    All people matter….
    Changing the conversation…

Maybe by “changing the conversation” he will expose his emptiness to the world.
Have at it Boy Governor, you are not the warrior you think you are. Everyday families are suffering under your dictatorial rule! So yes let’s get to the “heart of the matter”!

  4. Can anyone point to any successful ideas or policies this Governor has produced during his time in office?
If you notice he will say I increased funding or spending for “x” or “y” but never offers metrics proving positive results.

    1. Exactly, Steve. Other than the negative result of alienating most working class voters (which is why Gavin will never possess The Football), no, because he is bereft of a leadership kill set required to do so.

    2. It depends on how one defines success? No doubt the CCP and the WEF globalist cabal think Hair-gel Hitler Newsom has done a bang up job implementing their agenda while destroying and bankrupting the state? The far left alphabet rainbow mafia, and especially the trans contingent, are probably happy that he made them a top priority even though they’re a small minority of California’s population? Contractors connected with the state’s criminal Democrat mafia are probably happy that they made major bank off Newsom’s train-to-nowhere money laundering boondoggle?

      1. Thanks for posting that, Cali Girl.
Just when we think we’ve seen it all from the Worst Governor Ever, he outdoes himself.
Calling him “boorish” would be a compliment.
Hope Gavin donates his brain to science in hopes that future generations can be spared whatever the heck is going on with him.

  5. I really hope we don’t see any more sheeple RINOs going on Newsom’s podcasts so Newsom can claim he is a moderate. I pray we don’t have any more so-called conservatives that are that dumb.

  6. A liar is still a liar even when he tells the truth. Gavin wouldn’t know the truth even if it smacked him in the face like the 9th. Circuit Court did.

  7. Newsom reminds me of a manager I had back when I worked at Target. This swas back in the laste nineties mind you. At one point in time in this fella’s Target career, he was a heartbeat away from becoming a store manager. He was the Operations manager then came Store Manager. That would have been a disaster. First of all, the employees gave him the middle name “Duh!” he was constantly obstructing the employees. He was ticking them off so when it came time for him to want something from us the employee said ‘No way. You are screwed.’ He always said he was going to do something and then never did it. Example, during Christmas season, the lawn and garden center needed more people to work back there to help with the Christmas Tree Lot, help customers, etcetra. He told me he would get more people to help. Then a day or two passed I asked him about it his response was “Oh no! You’ve got enough people.” What a dork!
I was talking to one of my fellow employees about how scary it would be if this guy ever became a store manager. The employee said to me “He will never make it over that last hurdle.” Fast forward about a year or so, the store was run so poorly, the store was a “B” volume store and was knocked down to a “C” Volume store due to lack of sales. the store manager resigned and this manager demoted himself down to Hardlines Manager. I had heard thru the grapevine that this manager tried applying for a job at Office Depot but the people who knew him from Target told the higher ups not to hire him. I think the same thing will happen with Newsom. Gavin will never make it over that last hurdle. He will have to make his money elsewhere.

    1. I was just thinking, maybe Newsom can get a job at Target after he finishes his term as Governor.

  8. I think the East coast mother ship will use up Guber like a roll of Charmin and then toss him back here lie some more.
