Employee Literacy Assistance

California Labor Code Division 2, Part 3, Chapter 3.9 provides for employee literary assistance program. Labor Code Section 1040 provides the chapter is cited as the Employee Literacy Education Assistance Act.
Section 1041 requires every private employer regularly employing 25 or more employees to reasonably accommodate and assist any employee who reveals a problem of illiteracy and requests employer assistance in enrolling in an adult literacy education program, provided that this reasonable accommodation does not impose an undue hardship on the employer.
Section 1042 requires an employer to make reasonable efforts to safeguard the privacy of the employee as to the fact that he or she has a problem with illiteracy. Section 1043 prohibits anything in this area of law to be construed to require an employer to provide time off with pay for an employee to enroll and participate in an adult literacy education program. Section 1044 specifies that an employee who reveals a problem of illiteracy and who satisfactorily performs his or her work cannot be subject to termination of employment because of the disclosure of illiteracy.

I get it. In order for the democrats illegal workforce to be competitive with middle class citizens, they have to learn English. Taxpaying citizens should not thank you for stabbing them in the back.
Employers who regularly employ 25 or more workers are required to help any employee who discloses a literacy issue and requests support in enrolling in an adult literacy education program, as long as doing so does not place an undue burden on the employer.
