Despite coming up short, after running a stout and respectable campaign against Republican incumbent Tom McClintock in the battle over California’s 4th Congressional District, former California Senator Barbara Boxer made sure to show Democratic challenger Jessica Morse some love.
Serving in the U.S. Senate from 1993 to 2017, Boxer had this to say about Morse; “In a week of giving thanks, I want to thank Jessica Morse for her great campaign in #CA04, inspiring voters, raising issues, earning endorsements, and working hard. Trust me that we have not seen the last of Jessica.”

In a sincere response, Morse told Boxer “thank you Senator Boxer for forging the path for women like me to serve our community and our nation. I’m deeply grateful for your guidance and support throughout my journey of service.”
Although Morse has been seemingly quiet since Election Day, sources close to the California Globe anticipate her sticking around for a potential 2020 run.
McClintock beat Morse by nearly 25,000 votes as he will head into his sixth consecutive term.
