Gun Control California: 19 People Shot, 4 Dead at Stockton, CA Family Event
A ridiculous bill was really just legislation about guns that look scary to the Assemblywoman from Berkeley

Four people including three children are dead, and 19 in total were shot in Stockton, California Saturday night, at a family event inside of a banquet hall, ABC 10 reported.
California Democrats have imposed the strictest gun laws in the U.S., but on lawful citizens and legal gun owners. Rather than focusing on those who commit violent crime, Democrats obsess over guns. And it’s not really working, is it? When guns are outlawed, only the outlaws have guns, as this horrific shooting in Stockton demonstrates.
Details are sketchy at this point. But the AP reports local officials confirmed the suspected shooter has not been caught. Someone knows who did this.
Gun control law get innocent people killed.
In June, the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in a 2-1 decision that California’s law requiring firearm owners to undergo background checks when buying ammunition goes against the second amendment and is unconstitutional, the Globe reported.
Because California’s law forced gun owners to pay a fee and face some delays while the state processes their background check, the three-judge panel found the law constrains residents’ right to keep and bear arms in violation of the Second Amendment.
As I include in nearly every article about California Democrats’ gun control measures, in 2013, then-Assemblywoman Nancy Skinner (D-Berkeley) authored a bill banning ammo:
“Bullets, the very thing that make guns deadly,” said then-Assemblywoman Nancy Skinner in a hearing in 2013 I reported on. Assembly Bill 48 by Skinner (D-Berkeley), bans the sale of magazine parts kits that can hold more than 10 cartridges, and requires mandatory reporting of law-abiding citizens who purchase more than 3,000 rounds of ammunition within a five-day period. However her bill expanded the definition of “large-capacity magazine” to include disassembled parts even if the parts only “appear” to hold more than 10 rounds. Her ridiculous bill was really just legislation about guns that look scary to the Assemblywoman from Berkeley. As expected, then-Gov. Jerry Brown signed AB 48 into law.
As AWR Hawkins, a Second Amendment expert for Breitbart writes, “California’s gun controls include a red flag law, an ‘assault weapons’ ban, a ‘high capacity’ magazine ban, a 10-day waiting period on gun purchases, universal background checks, gun registration requirements, a limit on the number of guns law-abiding citizens can buy each month, prohibitions against concealed carry for self-defense in ‘sensitive places,’ a ban on concealed carry for self-defense on college campuses, a ban on K-12 teachers being armed for classroom defense, and numerous ammunition controls.”
Democrats even banned the Glock! The California Legislature passed Assembly Bill 1127, and Governor Gavin Newsom signed it to BAN any new purchase of all models of Glock handguns, effective July 1, 2026.
What can we say, other than to share Gun Owners of California’s assessment:
GLOCK BAN BILL: All Politics – Zero Safety
Democrats call the Glock a “machinegun-convertible pistol.” Assemblyman Jesse Gabriel (D-Encino), and fellow gun control supporters literally redefined semi-automatic pistols as “convertible.”
The ridiculous bill is unconstitutional under prior Supreme Court precedent in the case of District of Columbia v. Heller, the 2008 Supreme Court case that ruled that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to keep and bear arms for self-defense.
In the Second Amendment Foundation Glock Lawsuit, they say, “Undeterred, the State is now expanding its ban on ‘popular handguns designed for self-defense.’”
Meanwhile, three minors and an adult are dead, and 11 others were shot and hurt at a family gathering in Stockton.
No gun control law works to keep people safe from bad guys – only armed citizens can protect themselves and their families.

As once famously said, it’s not a gun problem, it’s a God problem.
Imagine this, before gun control was a thing, high schools had gun clubs, teenage boys had gun racks on their trucks!
No mass shootings, no drive by…
That was also a time where the 10 commandments were proudly displayed in classrooms, city halls and courthouses!
Criminals do not obey specious laws.
Democrats are known firearms idiots. Few of them have ever handled a weapon let alone fired one. They rely on expensive taxpayer funded security and let the ordinary citizen hang out to dry. All taxpayer funded security should be cancelled immediately.
california can kiss my ass , they know which guns i own , feel free to try to come get them .. bring your armoured carriers . bring body bags too ! i am law abiding , but not controlled . i believe in 2nd admendment . and i will protect it .
Most democrat aren’t even smart enough to handle a firearm. Just look at some of the ridiculous laws and laguage they propose. The underlying reason for their war on guns is the fear that an armed population will rise in protest of their growing efforts to control every aspect of our lives and then remain in power forever, Not going to happen!
Consider the source. It’s not the guns. It’s not lack of religion. It’s not poverty. It’s primitive barbarism.
Gun control is about the revolution. In the late 60’s / early 70s, the campus SDS faction (an ancestor of antifa linked, Berkeley based Revolutionary Communist Party) was absolutly against gun control because it hindered violent revolution. In the modern case the left doesn’t want law abiding citizens to be able to defend themselves against the revolution. Think about it, antifa assaults a citizen in Portland and the victim is arrested and hauled off to jail, while the offenders get off scot free. Criminals who use guns to commit crimes in gun control jurisdictions may be given cashless bail and set free while those who defend themselves against criminals are prosecuted. In a twisted way, it’s about the revolution.
The SDS faction refered to above was the maoist Revolutionary Youth Movement, an ancestor of the antifa linked Revolutionary Communist Party in Berkeley. This was inadvertantly omitted in the above post.
Curious lack of names, stimulating a great deal of speculation on the national blogs. Also a window into the national perceptions about criminal behavior in general, but also showing a great deal of ignorance about California demographics. It will help reduce the national temperature in these times of very heightened ethnic/racial animosities, when identifications can be made.
But now we also get a “cone of silence from someone who knows who did the shooting? An equally interesting cultural attribute – snitches get stitches. That is an extremely toxic state of mind.
Not good, on any level. And brings back troubling memories of that trucking industry family with young children that got executed gang style in the Central Valle a while back that also dropped not a cone of silence. What is really going on in this state, and why the demands to be coy about any of this. Is the Media now complicit. Or has Gavin Newsom reduced us all to troublesome children who cannot be trusted with this level of information.
yes the media is complicit . the education system also , alot of the youth don’t understand what made this country great . Give me liberty or give me death . From my cold dead hands !
