The California Code of Civil Procedure is one of 29 Codes that contain state statutes. The CCP, as it is often referred to, contains several sections of general provisions, followed by 4 Parts. There are also numerous divisions, parts, chapters, and articles containing hundreds of code sections, or individual statutes. The following is a broad overview of the Code of Civil Procedure.
