Fix California Increased Republican Registered Voters

Fix California increased registered voters in every Assembly, Senate, and Congressional District, and all 58 Counties

“Republicans have once again increased their share of registered voters in every Assembly, State Senate, and congressional districts, and all 58 counties, according to the California Secretary of State’s first voter registration report update since February,” Rob Pyers, Research Director for the non-partisan California Target Book reported Friday.

“A HUGE shoutout to @RichardGrenell and FIX CALIFORNIA for their crucial role they are playing in this success through their voter education efforts! Support their work at FixCalifornia.com” – Carl DeMaio Chairman, Reform California and Candidate for State Assembly AD-75 posted on X.

These increases took place between July 3, 2020 and July 5, 2024, but as Rob Pyers notes, this has happened for every district for three consecutive reports now.

for every district for three consecutive reports now…” Interesting. Increases of registered voters in every Assembly, State Senate, and congressional districts, and all 58 counties…

And then, stunningly, only a couple of hours later, California GOP Chairwoman Jessica Patterson took credit for the Republican gains in a mass email:

Republicans did it again! For the third voter registration report in a row, California Republicans made massive gains while Democrats continue to lose voters. A Friday news dump from Secretary of State Weber shows Republicans, once again, gained new voters in every single congressional, senate and assembly district and across all 58 counties.

“Since CAGOP Chairwoman Jessica Millan Patterson was first elected in 2019, the party has added nearly 775,000 new Republicans to the voter rolls across California.”

I …just spit coffee…. Who has “added nearly 775,000 new Republicans to the voter rolls across California?”

The Globe made an inquiry with the CAGOP to ask how much has the CAGOP spent on voter registration this year? According to Republican insiders, the answer is the CAGOP probably invested $zero dollars in voter registration this year. We will update the story if we receive a reply from the CAGOP.

Ric Grenell

The real story is that since 2021, Ric Grenell, former Ambassador to Germany, and President Donald Trump’s former Director of National Intelligence, has been diligently working on a long term plan to “Fix California,” identifying and registering unregistered conservative voters in the one-party Democrat Supermajority state of California.

Fix California is committed to pursuing longterm solutions that advance conservative ideas and causes throughout the state,” Grenell told the Globe in 2021 when he first launched Fix California.

“Right now in California, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is limited to the ultra wealthy, the ultra powerful… or those who can afford to move to another state. I am not moving, I am fighting back,” Grenell said in our May interview. “California can be first state to say ‘progressive policies didn’t work.’”

This was the very unsexy work, but very important and necessary work that Grenell did behind the scenes. It’s been a thankless job.

The Globe has found that instead of expressing appreciation, the CAGOP hasn’t participated, making Patterson’s email response ethical bankruptcy.

Rather than doing the unsexy and hard work of first identifying unregistered conservative voters, and then registering them, GOP Chairwoman Patterson makes frequent media appearances, elevating her own public persona. That is the definition of the cult of personality, rather than doing the very important foundational work for the Party.

Instead, that work has been done by people who actually want more Republicans elected to public office in California.

Californians are deeply, politically frustrated, and it is bipartisan frustration.

Grenell’s Fix California has been working for three years to address California’s unregistered conservative voters, frustrated decline-to-state “No Party Preference” voters (24% of all California registered voters), and even disaffected Democrat voters.

And here’s why, according to Ric Grenell:

“California is a magnificent state and we deserve better than the failed leadership and partisan politics of our elected officials. The first step in taking back our state is making sure the playing field is even and the laws governing our elections are enforced.”

  1. Ms. Grimes, imo Rick Grenell or one of his Fix California staff should become CAGOP chair. Rona Romney-McDaniel is now gone girl. Why is Millan-Patterson still there? The RNC needs to demand a change at CAGOP leadership or cutoff their monetary support.

  2. Thats weird. Recently a former GOP Assembly leader told me that she was the last assembly leader to add to the caucus. There is an entrenched establishment class here in California that isn’t going to go away easily. They have been set in place to make sure that no matter who is in charge that the utopian plan still continues to move forward.
