As Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh testifies against sexual assault accusations before the Senate Judiciary Committee, California Representatives from all over the state are exploding in opinion.
Following the testament by Dr. Kristine Ford who is Kavanaugh’s accuser, past California State Senate Leader Kevin De León had the following to say to Republicans in D.C. “Republicans in Washington should be ashamed of their attacks on Dr. Ford’s credibility. Her testimony this morning has been honest, and heartbreaking. @realDonaldTrump should pull Kavanaugh’s nomination immediately.”

Current mayor of San Francisco London Breed said “In the face of relentless attacks and attempts to discredit her, Dr. Blasey Ford’s courageous testimony is an inspiration to women everywhere. I stand in solidarity with her and all other survivors.”
State Assembly Leader Ian Calderon said “Its astounding to see in today’s day in age sitting male Rep Senators unable to ask a woman questions about sexual assault. It suggests a lack of empathy they can’t muster publicly to personally ask questions professionally. Their agenda is more important to them than the truth.”

These emotional expressions are building on what is proving to be an extremely hyper-partisan issue and these are just a few examples of the numerous outbursts. Interestingly enough, it appears as that Democrat leaders in the Golden State have been far outspoken and have far out-tweeted Republicans on this issue.
Of course, the vote by the senate to confirm or deny Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court will surely impact major political issues for years to come; the testimony is still taking place. Despite this, the Senate could move to a vote as soon as tomorrow.
