Additionally, rumors of a 2020 presidential run have been flying and this could explain his uptick in network appearances.

Whether or not this far-fetched rumor is true, one thing is certain; Swalwell has constantly attacked the President in regard to Russia. Tweeting today Swalwell said “Say it to Russia, too, Mr. President. But you won’t. They’re helping you. How about we all agree no outside foreign help. And both parties condemn any meddler. Full stop.”

Swalwell was referring to a Tuesday United Nations Speech where Trump dramatically criticized China for interfering in out elections and cyber security. In Swalwell’s view, Trump failed by not similarly addressing the same matter to Russia while on the world stage.

The attack by Swalwell on Trump will surely continue as November elections are fast approaching. So far, Trump has not responded to the Congressman’s remarks.
