Black Lives Matter Co-Founder Buys Home for $1.4M in Mostly White LA Neighborhood

What Patrice Cullors really proves is that most people want to live somewhere nice – even Marxists

Patrisse Khan-Cullors, the 37-year-old social justice agitator and co-founder of the controversial Black Lives Matter movement, just purchased a home for $1.4 million in Topanga Canyon in Los Angeles.

Black Lives Matter supporters would be justified in questioning where the $1.4 million came from.

“BLM founder is branded a ‘FRAUD’ after buying a $1.4 million home in an upscale mostly white enclave in LA,” the DailyMailUK reported. “The district in which the BLM founder will now live is 88% white and 1.8% black. Critics accused her of abandoning her social justice and activist roots.”

Cullors, an open Marxist, co-founded BLM in 2013 in response to George Zimmerman’s acquittal in the 2012 shooting of Trayvon Martin.

“Patrisse Cullors said in a newly surfaced video from 2015 that she and her fellow organizers are ‘trained Marxists’ – making clear their movement’s ideological foundation, according to a report,” the New York Post reported.

“Cullors, 36, was the protégé of Eric Mann, former agitator of the Weather Underground domestic terror organization, and spent years absorbing the Marxist-Leninist ideology that shaped her worldview, Breitbart News reported.”

“We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories. And I think that what we really tried to do is build a movement that could be utilized by many, many black folk,” Cullors added in the interview with Jared Ball of The Real News Network.

Cullors’ published “When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir” in 2018, in which the foreword was written by Domestic terrorist Angela Davis.

“Cullors told Teen Vogue in 2019 that ‘Angela Davis is a mentor of mine,’ the Washington Examiner reported. In the book, Cullors writes that ‘we do this work today because on another day work was done by Assata Shakur, Angela Davis, [transgender activist] Miss Major, the Black Panther Party,’ and others. In describing her move toward activism, Cullors wrote, ‘I read, I study, adding Mao, Marx, and Lenin to my knowledge of hooks.’”

Was it ever really about improving black lives or just her own, on the backs of BLM? And many are asking where the $1.4M came from?

What Cullors really proves is that most people want to live somewhere nice – even Marxists. They don’t want to live in inner city slums, or in gang-infested concrete apartment high rises, where they want everyone else to live.

However, what it takes for most people to earn and save the income to purchase a $1.4 million home doesn’t come from typical non-profit employment, unless she paid herself more than $250,000 a year, which is a possibility.

Did she take out a mortgage? The mortgage on a $1.4 million home amounts to about $8,000 a month in mortgage payments, plus California’s hefty property tax of about $16,000 annually.

Or did she pay cash? If she paid cash, where did she get $1.4 million in cash?

These are fair questions to ask of someone who is running a tax-free non-profit organization accepting donations from large corporations.

The Washington Examiner did a deep dive into the BLM funding and reported in June 2020, “It first unveiled a $6.5 million fund to support its grassroots organizing work on June 11, stating in a press release that it was ‘grateful for the generosity and support of donors’ and that the fund would be available to all chapters affiliated with the BLM Global Network Foundation. Beginning July 1, ‘affiliated chapters may apply for unrestricted grant funding of up to $500,000 in multi-year grants,’ the group said, later adding that another $6 million will go to helping black-led grassroots organizers.”

“In the upcoming year, we will provide resources to those new to the movement and interested in Black Liberation strategies by developing curriculum,” Cullors said when announcing the new fund, the Examiner reported.

The Daily Signal also reported on the 18 corporations which contributed to Black Lives Matter, including Microsoft, 23AndMe, Nabisco, Fitbit, Doordash, Tinder, Dropbox, Airbnb and many others.

Jason Whitlock, an African American Sports Journalist, had his Tweet removed by Twitter, after weighing in on Cullors’ home purchase. This was his follow up:

  1. “Dear Leader” must have their mansion and their dacha. It is traditional with Marxists. All that equality stuff is for the little people (useful idiots).

  2. Greetings all,

In past notes, I clearly outlined the fraud of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) grifter organization. I sent those of you on my email contact list a chart that showed all of the corporate donors to BLM, that money then going to a slush fund that was used by the Democratic Party, not to black people to help the black community.

Now, this article has proven me correct. The founders of BLM are nothing but super-sophisticated swindlers, whose activities have done nothing for black folks. I explained that clearly before. Our people, black people, used to call such groups, and the individuals that ran them, “poverty pimps.” BLM is one of the most sophisticated povert-pimp, grifter organizations in American history, and, because of 52 years of black adult experience (from age 18 to age 70), I saw it from Day 1.

But, liberal whites ARROGANTLY never listen to us black elders. Instead, they place THEMSELVES at the head of the black community, and attempt to decide FOR us, despite our experiences, who our “leaders” are. This has been very typical and very destructive, because, since they don’t know our people, they end up supporting people who end up hurting us. One wonders, sometimes, if it’s purposeful.

Despite BLM fraud, which is now out in the open for all to see, a certain black church, in Evanston, Illinois, still hangs a BLM sign on the side of its building. This is why, when I was 18 years old, the members of our black organization rejected “help” from white liberals, because white liberals were generally self-serving, and preferred TOKEN “help” [signs; marches; feel-good meetings] to black people that always turned out doing more harm than good. I hope, though I tend to doubt it, that the leaders of that Church will wake up now and see that they are supporting slick black criminals.

We’ve had a ton of them in our history: Father Divine, Sweet Daddy Grace, Reverend Icke, and on and on. And now it’s BLM.

Many people are questioning, “How on earth did she get the money to purchase such a home?” How fascinating, of course, that this self-proclaimed MARXIST is supported by a Christian Church. Marxists are atheists. Yet, the Church in question supports an openly Marxist organization, as the article says. People can live wherever they wish. Yet, it’s very fascinating that this blacker-than-black, BLM woman [RICH woman] chooses to live in a community that’s 88% white. That TOO was typical of the poverty-pimp black grifter and con artists of my day and before.

What makes me angrier is that, last summer, many people around the country were murdered, including a black baby, due to BLM and Antifa-supported violence in the streets. Tens of millions of dollars of property were destroyed. And the “reward” for this activity was a 1.4 million home for this black woman Marxist, who has expressed her virtual hatred of whites, yet now lives with them.

This is the sadness, the pitifulness, and the ignorant interference of bleeding-heart liberals in the affairs of black folks. The Church is making an utter fool of itself, as well as its congregation, and is also denigrating its own beliefs. This is what white liberalism does. And, again, the utter ARROGANCE of never consulting with knowledgeable black people, such as Dr. Claud Anderson, Dr. Boyce Watkins, etc., who know the black community, is palpable.

Ronald Dennis Chism, son of Nathaniel Spain Chism and Azelma Dolores Chism, grandson of Emma They-ain’t-doing-noth’n-but-lying Chism, aka, Sugarbaby, who taught us Chisms to not believe everything we’re told by the talking heads of mainstream media. And that was in 1969. Imagine how much lying they’re doing now. Even Sugarbaby would be shocked.

    1. Ronald Chism: Appreciated your post. In addition to everything else, you are right to point out that people died, too, as a result of BLM’s actions. It is also a huge problem that so much of today’s Church and its leadership has been infiltrated by wolves in sheep’s clothing. We need a strong church more than ever now.

    2. Great words here! thank you for them. Unfortunately I believe all common sense and critical thinking in these times are being drowned out and not heard! You sir will live in comfort knowing the truth.

  3. It is interesting to me that everyone who learns of this “gets” what the problem is right away. Well, everyone except for those who always, and with desperation, want to defend the ultimate in hypocrisy, whatever it occurs.
Those who frequent The Dirt website and comment there seemed surprised that this story would cause a reaction in people who are not equally enamored of BLM, who not only know they are Marxists but also realize they are con artists, who aren’t too thrilled with their tendency toward causing mayhem and destruction; in other words, people who tend to be more realistic about everything, not just this. Don’t miss their comments at The Dirt website; I found them rather amusing. The website can be found at the first link in Katy’s article, too, but I’ll post it here too:

    1. Thanks @ShowandTell for the link.
Patrisse Con-Cullors was a very good student of Hugo Chavez of Venezuela! Her con paid off.
Ohh, when will the pions of the woke movement wake up to the harsh reality they have been used. Think of all that money big corporations such as Coke, Google, etc. donated to the cause. What a waste of money that could have gone directly to underserved communities.

        1. Yep, she puts the Con in Khan????
May I also share my appreciation to Mr. Ronald Dennis Chism as he shares his experience and concern for all who have been conned by the BLM movement. It seems to be getting easier to fool those who have lost the important lessons of history. It is so very sad that the church has succumbed to the con.

      1. Student of Hugo Chavez? The guy who reduced poverty and improved healthcare, nationalized oil profits so the wealth could be used to benefit the people of his country? The guy who invested in improving peoples lives and the statistics support that he did. That includes Americans who were suffering during the Katrina aftermath and the poor who couldn’t afford energy bills during freezing winter. Who our own government would not help. You are aware that 1.4 million isn’t that uncommon for a house in LA, right? If you want to get worked up by a scandal or by a grift, you’re not catching big fish with this one.

        1. Yes, Hugo Chavez and his successor have left quite an impact on the citizens of Venezuela.
From: ENCOVI, for Encuesta Nacional de Condiciones de Vida
In 2019, the average income in Venezuela was 72 U.S. cents per day. Based purely on income, the report says, 96 percent of Venezuelans live in poverty and 70 percent live in extreme poverty.

“ENCOVI’s results are the sad reflection of the reality of Venezuela’s people,” said legitimate interim President Juan Guaidó. “They are not isolated numbers, nor cold numbers, but the reflection of what we Venezuelans are suffering at this moment.”

  4. The Race Hustle. You can’t dance to it but it is great for rioting and fleecing white liberal useful idiots.

  5. The simple fact that this lady willingly chose to move into a mostly WHITE neighborhood, PROVES white people are NOT the black community’s problem. Not even in the least.

  6. This is just one of 4 houses she has bought recently for a total of 4 million or more. One has a landing strip and airplane hanger. She is also shopping for a house in an ultra expensive resort in the Bahamas. Being a racist rioter and looter has paid off big. Let us see if she can hold onto her loot.

    1. They are so busted. And all of this had widespread coverage. Much of it went viral.
A lot of naive people (and companies, let’s hope?) are going to be re-thinking their support of BLM.

  7. Cullors’ published “When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir” in 2018, in which the foreword was written by Domestic terrorist Angela Davis.”
This is the crime of libel. Angela Davis was acquitted of the charge: “Prosecuted for three capital felonies, including conspiracy to murder, she was held in jail for over a year before being acquitted of all charges in 1972.” Wikipedia
The terrorists were the state, which locked up an innocent woman for 1 year. For the past 40 years, she has been a professor and author.

    1. There is no doubt about Angela Davis’ links to the Black Panthers who were responsible for some horrific violence such as the murder of 19-year-old Alex Rackley who had joined the party several months earlier and was wrongly suspected of being an FBI informant. They shot him dead after three days of beatings and torture that included being scalded with boiling water.

  8. It is traditional to recycle leftist terrorists as leftist academics. This way they can do far more damage than they do with bombs.

  9. Isn’t ironic, don’t you think? She could have considered purchasing a comparatively-priced home in an upscale predominately Black neighborhood in Los Angeles such as Baldwin Hills, Ladera Heights, Leimert Park or View Park-Windsor Hills. She would have been in close proximity to the very “community” that BLM purports to advocate for.

  10. She’s a racist who hates white folks but she hypocritically chooses to live around them? BLM is just race hustle to make her and her Marxist cronies wealthy?

  11. How would you like to find out your new neighbor is head of a terrorist organization? Brings a whole new level to the saying “there goes the neighborhood”.
