‘Tolerant Left:’ Antifa Mob Break Through Doors at Charlie Kirk UC Davis Event
The Sacramento Bee claimed Kirk called for lynching trans people

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was invited by the local TPUSA group to speak at U.C. Davis Tuesday. Ahead of his speech, the Sacramento Bee published an inflammatory article by Bee opinion assistant Hannah Holzer which claimed that Kirk had openly called for lynching trans people. Holzer posted this statement on Twitter, then deleted it.
Kirk vehemently denies he ever said this, and announced he may sue the Sacramento Bee.

Making the situation worse, according to journalist Andy Ago, the U.C. Davis Chancellor added fuel to the violence, rather than calling for calm:

Ngo, who was the victim of Antifa violence, concluded that the Sacramento Bee and U.C. Davis Chancellor helped incite violence at the event, where Antifa thugs smashed glass doors tryin to get in to the event. College Fix has the video of the chancellor’s message.
Kirk also posted video of the violence:

“While promoting the story on social media, the Bee said ‘Another fascist speaker is coming to UC Davis’ and added ‘Charlie Kirk has called for the lynching of trans people, a comment that should warrant the cancellation of his speaking engagement at UC Davis’,” Barrett News Media reported.
“In response, Kirk said ‘this is defamation and libel’ on Twitter. ‘We will sue unless it is corrected. Left wing rags like the SacBee are allowed to platform lies against conservatives and get away with it. Time for lawfare.’”
The Sacramento Bee altered the original article saying, “An earlier version of this column included a reference to trans people that Charlie Kirk has strongly denied. His denial has been added to the column.”
Kirk responded accordingly:

“That is a lie. I have never done that. I have never thought that,” Kirk said. He shared what he actually said: “In the 50’s and 60’s we would not have put up with men going into female locker rooms. It’s totally true that a District Attorney would have arrested a man going into a female locker rooms for being a pervert,” he said.
He goes on to say the Sacramento Bee published the lynching comment after a trans activist made the accusation after Kirk’s comment about what would happen to men going into women’s locker rooms in the 50’s.
“If they can do it to me, they’re going to do it to you.”
Elon Musk even weighed in noting, “Not a peaceful protest at all.”

UPDATE 1:30pm: Two people were arrested for painting graffiti on the wall where the event was held, KCRA3 reported.
OANN reported: “One officer sustained an injury when he was jumped on from behind and pushed to the ground, and two people were arrested and taken to Yolo County Jail for allegedly painting graffiti on an exterior wall of the University Credit Union Center, or UCUC, where the event was held,” UC Davis officials said.

The Sacramento Bee needs to be sued out of existence.
Charlie Kirk hopefully will sue the Sac Bee out of existence!
The UC Davis Chancellor should resign now. His speech ahead of the TPUSA event contributed to the hostility toward Charlie Kirk and fanned the flames. The Chancellor does not have to agree or like Charlie Kirk but he should protect freedom of speech and encourage dialogue.. Civil discourse was once revered and encouraged on college campuses which is exactly what Charlie Kirk wants from students! Oh the irony.
Antifa does not need more encouragement to bomb, burn and bleed!
They are a goon squad and nothing more.
UC Davis and the Chancellor will be named, along with the Sacramento Bee, in the lawsuit by Charlie Kirk and Turning Point. It could have been worse for the defendants if anyone had been physically injured.

A lawsuit seems to be a necessary response to this outrage and it wouldn’t surprise me to see Charlie Kirk pursue it. He doesn’t strike me as the type who gives up. If that is the final death knell for the Sac Bee perhaps a publication that is actually sensible, useful, and informative can rise from its ashes.
It turns out that a police officer was injured in the melee at UC Davis. I don’t believe that the Sacramento Bee and their reporter or UC Davis and their Chancellor should be let off the hook but simply issuing “corrections” and or “apologies” for what they did. They need to own up.
