Exasperating Senate Confirmation Hearings Confirm Why Americans Re-Elected Donald Trump

It was a dish best served cold: pitiful political performance theater

To call the Senate confirmation hearings exasperating is an understatement. President Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees are not being grilled on background, policy and experience; they are being put through the wringer to make them suffer.

Senate Democrats are trying to break them. Senate Democrats are trying to destroy them. And not just destroy them personally and professionally, but to crush them, annihilate them. And in doing so, Senators have exposed just how ineffectual and unqualified they are.

They are making a mockery of the process, and much of it is cringe-worthy.

We certainly aren’t watching the best and brightest politicians at work.

After character attacks by Democrat Senators Maize Hirono, Bernie Sanders, Raphael Warnock, Richard Blumenthal, Dick Durbin, Sheldon Whitehouse, Maria Cantwell, Elizabeth Warren, Ron Wyden, Mark Warner, et al., Trump FBI Director nominee Kash Patel said, “If the best attacks on me are going to be false accusations and grotesque mischaracterizations, the only thing this body is doing is defeating the credibility of the men and women at the FBI.”

Responding to Democrat Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Patel said:

“The only thing that will matter if confirmed is a deweaponized, depoliticized system of law enforcement, completely devoted to rigorous obedience to the Constitution and a singular standard of justice.”

Trump’s nominees and Republican Senators have had to refute ridiculous accusations, and character assignations.

Senator Dick Durbin intimated that Patel is a racist. Here is Patel’s response: “I certainly don’t believe that an individual who is the the first minority to serve as the Deputy Director of National Security is a racist and detest any conjecture to the contrary.”

This is the entire Confirmation Hearing process summarized:

HIRONO: “You refuse to answer the question.”
KASH PATEL: “I answered 13,000 pages of the question.”
HIRONO: “No answer to the question and yet you spread dangerous misinformation.”

I shared this with a political friend who replied, “She would be dumb even in a world of Idiocracy.”

And as Senator Ted Cruz pointed out, “The Democrats’ performance today at Kash Patel’s confirmation hearing reminded me of a line from Shakespeare’s Macbeth: ‘It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.’ They stomped their feet and yelled but offered nothing of substance.”

Democrat Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) had a toddler melt down as she questioned Kash Patel. “Did you say that the FBI headquarters should be shut down and reopened as a museum of the deep state?” Klobuchar demanded to know, waving her arms and raising her voice.

“If the best attacks on me are going to be false accusations and grotesque mischaracterizations, the only thing this body is doing is defeating the credibility the men and women at the FBI,” Patel said. “I stood with them here in this country, in every theater of war we have. I was on the ground in service of this nation, and any accusations leveled against me — that I would somehow put political bias before the Constitution — are grotesquely unfair,” he added.

Patel continued:

“And I will have you reminded that I have been endorsed by over 300,000 law enforcement officers to become the next director of the FBI,” he said. “Let’s ask them.”

Waving her arms even more dramatically and raising her voice even higher, Klobuchar demanded the answer she wanted. “Mr. Chairman, I am quoting his own words from September of 2024. It is his own words. It is not some conspiracy. It is what Mr. Patel actually said himself. Facts matter,” she said, pounding the desk.

Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal claimed Kash Patel is not qualified to serve as Director of the FBI. Yet, most of us remember the video of Richard Blumenthal claiming that he served in Vietnam… when he never served in Vietnam. “He is a LYING political HACK, who violated the Stolen Valor Act.”

Senate Democrats only succeeded in demonstrating how terrified they are that President Trump’s nominees, when confirmed, will expose the left’s crimes and abuse of government, from the highest office in the land, through weaponizing agencies to haul Americans into phony court proceedings, to unthinkable sex trafficking children via the open border, to censoring Americans, to cover ups, treason, and the worst behavior imaginable.

As Josh Hawley said, “Kash Patel pledged to open the books on assassination attempts against Trump and all corruption within the FBI That’s the real reason Democrats want to sink his nomination They know they won’t be able to use the FBI as their personal prosecutor anymore.”

Kash Patel comported himself laudably, providing no doubt that he is qualified to be FBI Director.

Senator Mike Lee summed up Patel’s confirmation hearing thusly: “Patel’s hearing = six hours of pure Kash badassery.”

RFK Jr.’s hearings were masterful. Not only did he call out Bernie Sanders for taking bribes from big pharmaceutical companies, he exposed most of the Senators who grilled him over his lawsuits against Pharma, after taking millions from them – including Senator Ron Wyden who took $1.5 million from the Healthcare Industrial Complex.

Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren, screeched at RFK Jr. to vow that he would not seek to profit off of drug companies or lawsuits related to them after working in the Trump administration, if he is confirmed as HHS secretary.

“Will you commit that when you leave this job, you will not accept compensation from a drug company, a medical device company, a hospital system, or a health insurer for at least four years, including as a lobbyist or a board member?” Warren asked.

“I’m happy to commit to that,” RFK Jr. said. “I don’t think any of them want to give me money, by the way.”

Warren continued to badger Kennedy, despite that he said, “You’re asking me to not sue drug companies.” He refused to agree to her demand.

“No! I am not!” Warren shouted, with a quiver in her voice. “Look! No one should be fooled here! As Secretary of HHS, Robert Kennedy will have the power to undercut vaccines and vaccine manufacturing!”

Notably, Senator Warren received approximately $5 million from the healthcare sector and associated industries during her failed presidential bid, according to Fox Business. So we know who she was acting on behalf of.

The best headline about this vitriolic exchange is at Gateway Pundit:

RFK Jr. Sets Fake Indian Elizabeth Warren on a Warpath After He Exposes Her For Defending Big Pharma

Tulsi Gabbard showed her chops in the face of horrific character assignations. She was interrogated at her confirmation hearing for refusing to call Edward Snowden a traitor.

“Those that oppose my nomination — are accusing me of being Trump’s puppet, Putin’s puppet, Assad’s puppet, a guru’s puppet, Modi’s puppet — what truly unsettles them is I refuse to be THEIR puppet.” ~ Tulsi Gabbard

We will be subjected to more political performance theater from a most untalented group of actors before the confirmation process is completed.
