Gov. Newsom Hands Out Another $76M ‘Safeguarding Californians From Hate-Motivated Incidents’

He’s handed out $400M in ‘Newsom bucks’, hoping that high-risk organizations remember him when he runs for President

Gavin Newsom is sending methane detecting satellites into space.

He’s doing a podcast.

He’s “safeguarding Californians from hate-motivated incidents.”

He’s “protecting Californians from wildfires.”

What else can California Governor Gavin Newsom possibly do for Californians?

Newsom says he will protect us from “hate-motivated violence.”

California’s Governor announced Monday that the state will give an additional $76 million to 347 community groups and faith-based organizations “to help protect them from hate-motivated violence.”

Newsom’s “state funding” will go to 347 awardees, of which “269 are ideology and spiritually-based organizations.”

“Today more than ever, our state stands together to support our communities. Californians deserve the right to worship, love, and gather safely, without fear of violence,” Newsom said in a news release.

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) administers the funds in the California State Nonprofit Security Grant Program, with awardees chosen “due to their high risk for violent attacks and hate crimes due to ideology, beliefs or mission with funding for security enhancements.”

This funding can be used for security measures including reinforced doors, gates, high-intensity lighting, access control systems, development and enhancement of security plans and protocols.

“Since the inception of the program in fiscal year 2015, the state has awarded $228,750,000 in state funding to 1,271 high-risk organizations.”

Newsom says the state has “invested” over $400 million just since 2019 to increase community resources and address hate.

What about the anti-semitism at California’s public universities, where Jewish students are violently attacked, prevented from moving through campuses freely, bullied, and not protected by university administration?

Don’t Jewish students deserve “protection from violent attacks and hate crimes?”

What about the girls who play high school and college sports, who now find themselves competing against biological males who claim to identify as female athletes?

Don’t girls who play high school and college sports deserve to play sports “without fear of violence,” and with “protection from violent attacks?”

Getting California’s house in order does not require handing out $76 million of the taxpayers’ hard earned money.

Notably, the Globe reported in 2023 “Reported hate crimes jumped 33% from 2020 to 2021 – under Gov. Gavin Newsom’s reign.”

So what has Governor Newsom done about this?

Newsom, along with the California Civil Rights Department (CRD), announced the official launch of CA vs Hate in 2023, “a new multilingual statewide hotline and website that provides a safe, anonymous reporting option for victims and witnesses of hate acts.”

According to California’s Department of Hate (CA vs Hate), “A hate incident is a hostile expression or action that may be motivated by bias against another person’s actual or perceived identity.”

Newsom claims he is “fighting hate and protecting all communities,” but clearly he is not. He’s just handing out “Newsom bucks,” hoping that the 1,271 high-risk organizations who have received hundreds of millions in state funding (that’s taxpayers’ funding) remember him when he runs for President in 2028.

So, according to the governor, hate crimes have jumped significantly since he’s been a California politician, starting in San Francisco where hate crimes and violent attacks against Asians were and still are rampant, and going forward as he was Lt. Governor for 8 years, and now as Governor, eventually jumping almost 33% from 2020 to 2021 while he was governor.

It’s not difficult to ask “Why is California leading the nation in these hate crime attacks?” and conclude that under Newsom’s reign hostility, anxiety, fear, and hate are exploding. His policies are destroying Californias’ way of life, and the once-Golden State.

Under Newsom’s administration:

  • “The University of California at Berkeley has devolved into a cesspool of anti-Semitism,” Evan Gahr writes at the Globe. “The school is already being sued  for “inaction” over rampant Jew hatred on campus.  And this week, the University was hit with a federal discrimination complaint over its indifference to the repeated assault and harassment of a Jewish student.  With the acquiescence of a top University official, he was even blocked from walking freely on campus.”
  • Trump Justice Department Files Brief Supporting UCLA Students’ Antisemitism Case Against University. “In its latest crack down on campus anti-Semitism, the Trump Justice Department this week filed court papers supporting the Jewish students and professor suing the school for allowing pro-Hamas mobs to block their access to parts of campus,” Gahr reports.
  • The Brandeis Center has filed federal discrimination complaints against Scripps College, California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt and the Etiwanda School District in San Bernardino County. They charge the schools with violating Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which prohibits discrimination based on Jewish ancestry.
  • The Santa Ana Unified School District recently agreed to disband its anti-Semitic ethnic studies courses that were secretly created in violation of California open meeting laws and concocted by school officials making crude anti-Jewish remarks.

KCRA reports that the money “is being given out to 55 educational groups, 14 other community groups like food banks, shelters and LGBTQ organizations, nine medical organizations, and 269 groups that are ideology-based or faith-based.”

  1. Isn’t what Newsom is doing itself a “hate crime?” Just the latest one in a constant barrage of violence and destruction against California and its people? The hundred-billionth example of it that blithely sticks it to tax-paying Californians who are only trying to pick up the pieces and move on from the last mess or full-on disaster or series of full-on disasters this governor has thrown in their path? All to endlessly serve his doomed ambitions? Bonus points for the fun he always seems to have grinding the jackboot onto our necks.

This is madness. But it’s classic Newsom, right? Guess you can’t teach an old dog new tricks:
“[Newsom is] just handing out ‘Newsom bucks,’ hoping that the 1,271 high-risk organizations who have received hundreds of millions in state funding (that’s taxpayers’ funding) remember him when he runs for President in 2028.”

More Katy Grimes: “It’s not difficult to ask ‘Why is California leading the nation in these hate crime attacks?’ and conclude that under Newsom’s reign hostility, anxiety, fear, and hate are exploding. His policies are destroying Californias’ way of life, and the once-Golden State.”
    Exactly. And Gavin knows it.

    1. Democrats are the party of hate.. well being founders of KKK. SBLA and numerous other hate groups.
is this money to protect you from the Dimcult?
People your leg is not wet from thecrain

  2. How is it loud to just give out 3/4 of $1 billion without any oversight approval especially the citizens that never voted this clown into Office or kept him there! The jig is up

  3. “This funding can be used for security measures including reinforced doors, gates, high-intensity lighting, access control systems, development and enhancement of security plans and protocols.”

So essentially, you can’t leave the reinforced facility. Yeah, that’s a typical dumb*ss Newsom solution.

The last generation put criminals committing hate crimes in jail. That seemed to work fine.

  4. If hate crimes have increased during Newsom’s regime, then it’s probably because of the hateful and divisive rhetoric that he and the Democrat party that controls the state are constantly spewing? As Katy Grimes concluded, handing out $76 million of the taxpayers’ hard earned money to Democrat’s favored groups isn’t going to change anything and it’s really just a backdoor way of buying votes?

Neither Newsom or the rest of the Democrat party in power want to admit that the rampant hate crimes and violent attacks against Asians have been overwhelmingly committed by African-Americans?

As for hate crimes against Jews, it’s ironic that it’s mostly occuring at California’s public schools and universities which receive taxpayer funds? Where’s the outrage from Newsom and legislative Democrats? There not a peep from from legislative Democrats on the California Legislative Jewish Caucus? Instead Democrat Senator Scott Wiener and Democrat Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel, Co-Chairs of the California Legislative Jewish Caucus, alongside Vice Chairs Democrat Senator Josh Becker and Democrat Assemblymember Dawn Addis released a statement on February 14 stating that they stand in deep solidarity with immigrants and refugees.

Are these legislative Democrats who belong to the California Legislative Jewish Caucus real observant Jews who regularly attend a synagogue and follow the Torah, or are they part of the deep-state globalist Kazarian Mafia who hide behind a Jewish identity?
