LAPD ‘Pulled from Working Cases’ to Provide Security for Kamala Harris
This is such middle-finger by elitist Gov. Newsom to the peasants of California

I joined John Kobylt Thursday on KFI discussing the absurd waste of taxpayer funds to provide former Vice President Kamala Harris security detail – especially when Los Angeles is running a massive $1+ billion budget deficit, as is the state, with it’s $30+ billion budget deficit.
“An unmarked LAPD vehicle has been sitting around the clock at the home of former Vice President Kamala Harris,” Fox 11 reports. “Sources tell FOX 11 Metro officers have been pulled from working cases to provide Harris protection after President Donald Trump ended former President Biden’s extension of her Secret Service coverage.”
How quickly Gov. Gavin Newsom moved from granting Harris “dignitary” status, to providing CHP security detail for Harris, to saddling Los Angeles taxpayers with the bill for her personal protection. And as KFI’s John Kobylt said Thursday, the police officers will be on overtime pay, adding insult to injury.
As President Donald Trump revoked her Secret Service protection, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom predictably criticized Trump, with Bass calling it an act of “political retaliation” and Newsom stating that the safety of public officials should not be subject to “vindictive political impulses.”
Former Vice President Kamala Harris is preparing for her nationwide book tour to promote her memoir, 107 Days.
Just prior to leaving office in January, President Joe Biden extended VP Kamala Harris’ secret service protection to 18 months from the usual 6 months.
As the Globe asked Tuesday, “Why Should California Taxpayers Pick Up the Tab for Kamala Harris’ Security Detail?” noting that by statute, vice presidents and their families receive Secret Service protection only while in office. There is a standard six-month grace period in which the former vice president and their immediate family remain under Secret Service watch.
Kamala Harris has had eight months of additional secret service detail. She’s a private citizen now, about to embark on a book tour. Either she or her publisher should pay for private security.
This is such middle-finger by elitist Gov. Newsom to the peasants of California.

This is a shocking story and a thoroughly disgusting and unacceptable situation. In other words, the usual crap from these puffed up, self-important, lie-spewing, money-grubbing, attention-starved Dem-Marxist politicians and their delusional backers.
Ultimately these twisted liars who pretend not to know what the real story is —- that the Worst Vice President and Presidential candidate EVER, Kamala Harris, is NOT in fact entitled to an armed entourage following her every move at taxpayers’ expense (!!!) —– are in the end not going to get away with what has unfortunately been routine for them and the Usual Suspect Word-Salad Spewing Dem-Marxists. Meanwhile no embarrassment or shame exhibited. Really incredible.
I am so relieved that mega wealthy Democrats who want to ban guns have armed security. I sleep better at night knowing my “betters” have benefits they seek to deny me.

Remarkably, it was the scene of an arson fire ignited in a fenced storage area, beneath the I-10 freeway which subsequently had to be closed. Although a photo of the suspect exists, he was never apprehended. Gee, I wonder why.
You mean the “person of interest”? What nonsense, these jerks in power really think we’re stupid, and maybe they’re right. I remember the published photo at the time (when? 2+ years ago?) kinda reminded me of those blurry “Bigfoot” sighting photos. And of course the fire you’re referring to involved a state-owned, pallet-filled space under the 10 Fwy in L.A., probably set on fire by meth-addled vagrants who had been living there, or at least sleeping there, without consequences, for weeks, months, years? — and which MELTED the freeway (in part) which then had to be closed. Photo ops of Gov Gruesome, Mayor Bass and others, all with their entourages “analyzing” the situation followed.

She cut her prosecutorial caps at the expense of street ‘brothers of color’, who were harvested like low hanging fruit from L.A. streets, and sent to prison after being convicted of marijuana offences.
The memory of her raw Democratic party hypocrisy may not have completely lapsed yet and if she were to be victimized on her own reservation, the optics could indeed complicate more than one political future.

Actually Harris putting drug pushers in jail might have been the only thing she did right. I don’t buy the Democrat narrative that marijuana isn’t a drug. Legalizing marijuana has been an absolute societal disaster. According to the 2022 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), one in 14 people adults in the U.S. now have a cannabis use disorder. Among individuals ages18 to 25, it is one in seven that have a cannabis use disorder.
Couldn’t agree with you more about marijuana legalization causing societal dysfunction and disaster, Protect Freedom. But of course this was EASY EASY EASY to see by any sane, common-sense person BEFORE we went down this road, wasn’t it! Even before the medical marijuana farce, meant to be an appetizer for the real goal of legalized “recreational use,” and all of it purposefully shoved down our throats, without discussion of debate, as you know, by the Usual Suspect Bad Guys, also known as the Dem-Marxist societal destroyers. Because her so-called “personal protection” is in service to selling her book at various events, which events probably no one is interested in attending?
Posting this because of its relevance to Katy Grimes on the John Kobylt Show (KFI-AM 640) who made a point that the money wrongfully spent on Princess Kamala and her “security,” which is now known to be with wads and wads of L.A. cash (that it can’t afford), is especially maddening when it could be used by City of L.A. to help rebuild or move along processes in the Pacific Palisades. Almost a year later the area still looks like a bombed-out featureless war zone with no revitalizing activity or signs of any progress to this day. Thus (as Katy said), Palisades fire victims who have lost everything, everything, should be the most outraged of ALL by Newsom-Bass and their eternal mission to only look out for themselves and their politician friends, this time, as usual, with more CA taxpayer-provided “largesse.”
