Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco Racks Up Growing Number Of Gubernatorial Endorsements
Congressman Ken Calvert latest big name endorser of Bianco

Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco became the gubernatorial candidate with the most endorsements this week as several high-profile lawmakers announced that they are backing his 2026 run.
In the first month following his initial announcement that he is running in February, Bianco saw only a trickle of endorsements come his way. However, the growing number of gubernatorial candidates joining since then, including former Congresswoman Katie Porter and former Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, has spurred a jump in support. His recent announcements that he would end income tax and remain tough on crime as Governor only increased this boost.
38 (39 counting Bianco) of the 58 County Sheriffs in the state have backed him so far, including the Democratic Sheriff of San Francisco City and County Paul Miyamoto. With no other Republican with an elected/appointed background joining the race as of Friday, GOP lawmakers have endorsed him too. This includes 15 state Assemblymembers and Senators, U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli and, this week, two members of Congress – Ken Calvert (R-CA) and Darrell Issa (R-CA).
“Sacramento’s pro-criminal experiments have gone off the rails. The Democrats looking to lead our state are all complicit and cannot be trusted to work in the best interest of our residents’ public safety,” said Congressman Calvert on Thursday. “Sheriff Bianco is one of our nation’s leading law enforcement officials. He has spent his career protecting and serving the people of our great state. As our next Governor, he will work tirelessly to keep our residents safe and restore California’s greatness. I am proud to endorse Sheriff Bianco and look forward to working with him as our next Governor.”
“Congressman Calvert has dedicated his career to making sure Americans are safe from enemies, foreign and domestic. I am honored to have his support, and agree that law-abiding Californians are sick and tired of playing second fiddle to criminals. Sacramento Democrats have created a world where criminals are victims and crime victims are overlooked,” said Sheriff Bianco in response. “Voters spoke loudly when they ignored the Democrat machine and overwhelmingly passed Proposition 36 last fall. As our next Governor, I will make crime illegal again and work to make California the safest state in the nation.”
The endorsements this week made Bianco the leading candidate in terms of endorsements. This puts him above former state Senator Toni Atkins (who has, amongst others, only 1 member of Congress and 7 state legislators) and Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis (Who has amongst others former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, 2 members of Congress and three legislators). However, with Porter now in the race and Harris possibly entering later this year, those numbers could dramatically shift. Other Republicans entering the race could also siphon support away from Bianco in the primary, especially Special Presidential Envoy and former Ambassador to Germany Ric Grenell, who has said that they will enter the race if Harris does. Furthermore, following the jungle primary next June, endorsements will likely consolidate around the two remaining candidates, with the race very likely to come down between a Democrat and Republican.
Despite those candidates on the horizon, Bianco saw a major jump in support this week with major endorsements, with more likely to back him in the coming weeks barring any major candidate entrances.

What does he bring to the table besides law and order?
I look back beyond the birthdays of much of our population who take our “Great Men” for granted. They got the dams built, generated that new fangled electricity stuff, put the rivers in as permanent paths as humans are able to do, and used that “new” land for money producing crops.
They were followed by other “Great Men” who saw the wagon wheels as “old tech” and built the freeways and the highways for rubber tires and air conditioned cars that now auto-drive at 80 MPH. They even found time to help industry to capture Californias share of building America’s defense tools, modern air transportation with mile and a half runways, and almost as an insult to today’s leaders, they even found a way to pay for it!
What is our current crop of ambitious idiots running on? Homelessness, drugs, and don’t keep robbing and killing for sport.
How far we have fallen!
Each and every public memorial is dedicated to public servant trough dwellers rather than innovatively and creative people.
Bianco merely another lazy operative persuing acclaim from the system he and like others believe is there to serve them.
We are beyond the point of no return.
Law and Order would be a good start but I am not sure he is the man to do it. He is compromised and has shown allegiance to the terrorist organization BLM which should disqualify him from ever holding any public office.
Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco doesn’t seem to be a conservative but the alternative of one of the radical far left deep-state Democrats who are running getting into office is even worse?
What’s the rank in file in the Riverside County Sheriff’s department think about their boss ?
So has a lot of endorsements from far left Democrats. I’ve seen enough. Next candidate please.
The problem is that although Chad Bianco would likely be a better choice for Gov when compared to the commies and empty suits who call themselves Democrats on the other side, his tough-guy persona tends to reel in a lot of Repubs, myself included, until they find out he took a knee when BLM demanded it, and then added insult to injury when he wasn’t truthful about why he did it. Apparently most Repubs don’t yet know about this incident, but it will come out at some point during the campaign like an October Surprise and supporters will likely recoil at having been fooled. This is especially sticky when contrasted against the tough guy persona Bianco has cultivated. Would many of those supporters then bail on him? A bad position for sensible voters to be in for Election 2026, given the mess the Dem-Marxist politicians have left in their wake and our obvious need for a tough, competent, and consistent person to be our next Governor.
I have also heard that Mr. Bianco has not responded to requests to sign on to profamily pledges. The next governor needs to look at the whole state and not just the economics. A strong family will only make the state a better place.
Hal, he’s not going to sign profamily pledges. He’s a Democrat. Democrat don’t support families. Democrats don’t support religion. Democrats don’t support cleaning up all of the corruption in this state. If he got elected he would be signing all of those Democrat bills just like Newsom.
No, we need a real Republican governor.
Bianco was everywhere at the recent CAGOP convention in Sacramento. He was shaking hands and making speeches. The rooms were full of attenders when he spoke. He even had a booth that he was working when he wasn’t speaking. I agree that we need a “real Republican governor”. The CAGOP seems to be hopelessly entrapped by establishment types. The 2026 election will have to be a grassroots mandate for change. The hype with the big name establishment folks will have to be ignored.
With a recent poll showing that voters are willing to vote for a Republican for the first time in decades this will be another squandered opportunity for the virtually nonexistent California Republican Party. Bianco is a moderate but unless someone who has any name recognition steps up he’s going to be the best the CAL GOP has to offer. I’m hoping that Larry Elder throws his hat in the ring.
Don’t forget Democrats always “endorse” the person they think will be the easiest to beat – it is how they play the insider game with jungle primaries.
They want to also taint a candidate like Schiff did to Steve Garvey, hit early and hit hard with Garvey is even more right than Trump.
C’mon Sacramento news junkies, get with the program. Democrats are sending you their first shot across the bow, they do not want Chad Bianco – they only want him a pastry for their own dork show clowns to beat. California is tired to Democrat side shows and the mess they have dumped on this state.
Crime is a huge rank and file issue in this state – from porch pirates, to stolen cars, to mail theft, to illegal vendors and illegal aliens to billions of scammed tax dollars that no Democrat ever tried to get back. Huge. We talk about it every day.
If this guy can win the large and diverse Riverside County, he has taped into the crime angst across this state. If Democrats are triggered to play stealth games this early in the day like we are reading right here and right now, he is someone to put your money on.
I cannot wait to vote for him.
I like what I personally know about Bianco. However, Bianco had best take some lessons from both of the Trump administrations, Swartzeneggar, Pete Wilson and Ronald Reagan. Politicians come and go, but the staff hangs out forever with an eye to passive-aggressive push their own agenda. Bianco might want to consult with Kevin Kiley to know where the Democrat knives are hidden… In the meantime the CAGOP will probably bungle its role, and a couple dozen Republican candidates will split the vote – both a time honored, traditional function of the California Right to ensure the left wins every time. I don’t get the obsession with Larry Elder, he’s a pundit who says a lot of what I like to hear. My thought is that in the extremely unlikely event Elder does get elected, he’s going to get a lot more serious political treatment than a demented, unattractive woman on a bicycle, wearing a gorilla mask and throwing an egg at Elder’s head, while some antifa goons are seriously threatening his security detail. The way they did it was in the street classic, and Elder probably isn’t suited for the equivalent political knife fight, scorched earth war that will absolutely be waged on him in the capitol.
