AB 1955 Causes Elon Musk to Pull Out of California

It began when schools began teaching and indoctrinating students with pseudo-science and radical gender theory

Famed billionaire Elon Musk announced last month that he has decided to pull SpaceX and X headquarters out of the state of California and relocate to Texas. This decision will have monumental negative effects on the economic climate of California, and it is all due to the latest political moves of the California Democrats and Governor Gavin Newsom.

Newsom recently signed Assembly Bill 1955 into law, and it is set to go into effect at the beginning of next year. It was previously reported that Chino Valley Unified School District has filed a lawsuit against the state in hopes of stopping the enactment of the law, so its future is still uncertain.

AB 1955 strips away further parental rights by allowing school employees to keep information regarding the gender identity of children from their parents. The student is allowed to socially transition and change gender identities and must give consent for school employees to share that information with anyone, including the child’s parents.

In other words, a minor has been given carte blanche to make a potentially life changing decision in collusion with a government run school, and the parents are kept in the dark.

Jason Calacanis, one of the co-hosts of the All In Podcast, resonated that exact sentiment in a tweet after news of the signing of AB 1955 hit social media. “So the state is the parent in California now @GavinNewsom?” he posted on X tagging the governor.

Elon Musk then responded to Calacanis’s post with the proclamation that he was moving his companies out of the state. “This is the final straw. Because of this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies, SpaceX will now move its HQ from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas,” Musk posted.

This decision begs the question: Why is AB 1955 the final straw for Elon Musk? It seems that for Musk the Democrat’s attacks on parental rights hits close to home. In a recent interview with author and professor Jordan Peterson, Musk opened up about his struggles with his adolescent child who came out as transgender.

In the interview, he describes how his son became a victim of the “woke mind virus” as a minor. Musk says he was told his son would commit suicide if he did not sign all of the papers allowing for his son to go on puberty blockers. Musk went as far to say that he felt his son was, for all intents and purposes, dead. “I lost my son. They call it ‘deadnaming’ for a reason. The reason it’s called ‘deadnaming’ is because, your son is dead. So my son is dead, killed by the woke mind virus,” Musk stated.

Clearly still hurt and traumatized by his own family’s experience, Elon Musk made his decision after the signing of AB 1955 as a sort of protest at the erosion of parental rights and the targeting of the family unit. It began when schools began teaching and indoctrinating students with pseudo-science and radical gender theory. Then parents, like Musk, were targeted with scare tactics of their children committing self harm or suicide if they did not prescribe to the school’s plan to care for their child. Now the parent is slowly being removed from the equation altogether. Soon the message will become that the school, and by extension the government, is the true caretaker and children will no longer view their parents as a valid authority at all.

SpaceX and X are undisputed juggernauts in the economy of California. SpaceX is located in Hawthorne, CA, outside of the city of Los Angeles. The company reportedly provides almost 7000 jobs and employs approximately 16% of Hawthorne’s residents. Musk’s social media behemoth X, formerly known as Twitter, has most of its offices in San Francisco, CA. Taking X out of San Francisco will add more strain to an already hurting city—46% of offices and 40% of retail spaces in parts of the city are vacant.

With litigation filed against the state, the loss of two huge revenue and job providers, and most likely another mass exodus of families all due to the enactment of AB 1955, California is in for more economic hurt. This all stems from the failed and unpopular policies and agenda of a radical Democrat party under the leadership of Gavin Newsom. AB 1955 was Elon Musk’s final straw. It should be most Californian’s as well.

  1. Newsom and the Democrats running this state of far left radicals. They will go down in history as the most bizarre politicians in U.S. history. Everything they touch turns to sh*t. This state is a disaster.

    1. it’s intentional….

I’m pretty sure they’re being paid off by some combination of the CCP, the shadowy billionaires that underpin the UN and WEF. or $oro$….

All of the polycrises are too intertwined with one another and Newsom’s trip to China was too suspicious, as were his no-compete contracts with BYD of the CCP…
