FBI Raid on San Luis Obispo County Government Center

Federal agency serves sealed search warrant on county officials

By Katy Grimes, March 12, 2020 6:38 am

According to Eimiller, the warrant is seeking evidence in an ongoing investigation. She said FBI officials cannot comment on the investigation, and no arrests are planned as of Wednesday.

Cal Coast News reported:

“While county officials are remaining mum about the raid, it appears to include Supervisor Adam Hill’s office on the fourth floor. For more than five years, CalCoastNews has reported allegations of corruption surrounding Hill, several developers and a group of marijuana businessmen.”

Mr. Hill has been the subject of numerous news articles recently over threatening emails allegedly sent from his home to popular local radio talk show host Dave Congalton.

The San Luis Tribune reported, “Hill denies sending the emails, and a computer expert retained on Hill’s behalf concluded the IP address could have been spoofed. In the end, the DA’s Office decided there wasn’t enough evidence to press charges.”

Compton noted that San Luis Obispo County has not yet certified the election.

The FBI’s public corruption program investigates election crimes, voter/ballot fraud, campaign finance crimes and violations of federal law by public officials at the federal, state, and local levels of government.

California Globe will update the story as more information is available.

UPDATE: California Globe learned that San Luis Obispo Adam Hill attempted suicide Wednesday and was found hours after the FBI raided his office.

  1. Ooooh! I’ll be staying tuned to this one. SLO has been so much in the news lately, with their “leadership” for many years looking more like a police lineup than like earnest, responsible people, any sign of swamp-draining is welcome.

  2. Test a lie, no accountability when three San Luis Obispo police officers were sworn in to testify in open court to tell the truth, this after written statements were presented to support the evidence when a news cameraman was not only denied access to a news event, then ripped from the drivers compartment of the television news car, causing injury, requiring an operation to repair a ruptured disc..
Only one of several events that occurs to those in the news gathering business when trying to bring truth to the public’s attention.

    1. This is the same town where the police chief left her firearm in a restaurant restroom. Nothing happened to her either.

  3. TAR and FEATHERS worked long ago…maybe it’s time again…follow the Constitution as written…get rid of any voting EXCEPT on election day. REQUIRE VALID I.D. from all voters, just like getting on an airplane. PERIOD.

  4. Sounds like he wasn’t “turned.” The FBI generally entraps local politicians and then blackmails them to engage in organized crime on behalf of defense contractors. Then from time to time the FBI throws a local under the bus just to make it appear they take anticorruption seriously (kind of like all those fake DEA raids in the State Prison system pretending to go after drug gangs when the DEA is the drug cartel).

  5. FBI searches Hills office, Hill hospitalized in what is rumored to be a suicide attempt. Trouble in paradise.
