What is a general statute? A general statute is essentially a law that pertains uniformly to an entire community or all persons generally.

What is a special statute? A special statute is essentially a law that applies to a particular person, place, or interest. California law provides for both types of statutes.

What does Article IV, Section 16, of the state Constitution provide? First, “all laws of a general nature have uniform operation, and a local or special statute is invalid in any case if a general statute can be made applicable.”

What is an example of a bill’s form language used for a special statute? The following is an example: The Legislature finds and declares that a special law is necessary and that a general law cannot be made applicable within the meaning of Section 16 of Article IV of the California Constitution because of ___.”

What is an example of an explanatory statement that accompanies a plus section designation? The following is an example: The unique island location of the City of Coronado and its proximity to large military installations requires a special law. In addition, the complexities of amending a general plan and a local coastal plan for the City of Coronado will take significantly longer than six months. As a result, a general law cannot be made applicable.

  1. While I do like the succinct nature of the article and do not find it at least personally to be warranting of any opposition or feelings of such. I do like the photo by Kevin Sanders. First, off. (I have a zorki 4k camera I hope to use to take introductory photos of architecture in and around the state capitol of Sacramento. So that photo was in a way inspiring at least for me to get the film I need sooner than later before I move to the capital.) Second what would detractors say of this if any detractor(s) are to be had? I often like to hear the opositions view points. I was wondering if there were any detractors to this subject the law in Cornado. It reminded me in format at least of IRAC the way it was laid out. Was that intentional?

My parents home is near a large military installation so I found that to be also riviting not in interest just in my attention to the article. By that military base their is rule of the older the law the more credence.
