Gavin, Meet Harmeet Dhillon, Again
The California governor’s headaches are about to get significantly worse

Incoming President Donald Trump (or I should say, returning President Trump), has appointed San Francisco notable attorney, Republican party leader and arguably one bad-ass advocate for free speech and voter rights, Harmeet Dhillon, to the post of US Assistant Attorney General, Civil Rights Division (or AAG). This is a big deal.
As the nation slowly shifts to the center politically, this in effect is leaving the ideologues and rogues behind. The cop-haters, the anti-accountability fans, the tax the rich, cancel student debt, embrace illegal aliens, take trans toddlers from parents – type of radials are greatly dwindling in influence. And while facing increasing pressure they relent, many are instead doubling down. Refusing to admit their positions are damaging – and in some unfortunate cases, deadly – Democratic politicians and activists today see the rally cry to dig in as trench warfare against change.
These hardcores are fighting an existential fight; the several years of corrupt Left-wing Democrats including misuse of taxpayers’ funds, a criminal-centric approach to justice, ignoring the needs of the majority of us, the hardworking taxpaying citizenry, the impending Trump administration means doom. And so for them it’s time to now lash out, to build up defenses, harden the policies and laws they passed, ready to fight back at all costs. Even if this means depleting government coffers in doing so. And even if defending the violating of law and the Constitution.
Harmeet Dhillon is well-known here in San Francisco. An experienced attorney who’s varied clients include Donald Trump himself, she and her law practice specializes in First Amendment matters, election integrity issues, and has represented parents and students during Covid lockdowns in 2020. Her firm sued California Governor Gavin Newsom and other officials over a dozen times.
Harmeet’s position as Assistant Attorney General, specifically the Civil Rights division, is game-changing.
We’ve seen examples of constitutional violations galore these last few years, transgressions well deserving of scrutiny. From school admissions policies (evaluating skin color, race, gender identity as a so-called qualification) for just one example. When a municipality institutes DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) in their various departments’ framework, or a parent is threatened with loss of their child over their objection to “affirming gender”. Reparations fever swept the nation and still sees Black-only initiatives and giveaways violate state and federal law. Anti-White, anti-Asian policies as well as antisemitism sponsored by nonprofit organizations and foreign state actors (ie. Qatar) so prevalent, there is so much to investigate.
The elections process is rife with examples as well. From purge stagnant voter rolls, to flushing out unauthorized voting (illegal aliens added to voter rolls), and purging rolls too close to an election, we can expect battles between cities, states and the Department of Justice over election integrity. Will Voter ID be addressed?
Gavin Newsom has become a prime example of the worst of governance. Yet when a recall effort in September of 2021 failed to remove him, he felt emboldened, becoming the torch bearer of farthest Left radical ideals. As we just saw, he called a special session to “Trump-proof” our state, whatever that means.
Money, it is clear, is what Gavin actually means, and any such declaration is code word for “grab more taxpayers money for dubious use”. But how and for what would these next tens of millions be used?
One simply has to look at what policies he has championed, and the answer becomes a bit clearer. One thing is certain, according to his recent statements, that he seeks to preserve “California values”. Strangely, my California values since moving here as a young adult in 198o’s are not very much aligned with his. Newsom and his cohort have redefined, or imposed, their so-called values in bullying fashion. A supermajority of radical Democrats in the state’s legislature, which walk lockstep with Gavin, make opposing their grip that much harder.
Gavin Newsom, his many allies in Sacramento – outside lobbyists and donors are much like drug addicts, like alcoholics. They are in deep denial of who they are and what they do; legislators deny the state is crumbling around them. Like an alcoholic, Newsom and Sacramento officials fail to admit there is a problem. Their craving of power is paramount, it’s their addiction. And like an addiction, he and his cohorts need an intervention, from outside.
Harmeet Dhillon is that outside. Federal intervention, in the form of Department of Justice stepping in, to sue, to block, to compel, to force and enforce our rights, to rein in damaging policy which violates statute which has long trampled our Constitution. That’s how reform and reimagining is done.
Harmeet’s purvey is sweeping: She’ll oversee the AAG’s Civil Rights Division, contribute to legal policy and legislation, supervise litigation, advise other government officials, testify before Congress, manage staff, communicate with media, and lead task forces. I’m excited.
So much has been exploited, gaslighted and bastardized by years of Democrats in power. We are hoping, praying – and fingers crossed – Harmeet Dhillon, have great success.

YESSSS!
Great hopeful article.
Thank you Richie Greenberg.
You know what the California values are that Newsom is talking about? Complete destruction of the state. I really love these California values that Newsom and Democrats have brought, such as #1 in the nation for the highest school dropout rate. There’s a winning formula for becoming a Third World state.
Harmeet Dhillon has my full support to sue Newsom and the California Democrats as many times as possible. Let the lawsuits begin.
