Greenberg Brief: KAMALA Refuses to Endorse Prop 36

This should convince voters to end her career

California’s disastrous 10-year experiment with the radical, anti-prosecution law known as Prop 47 now sees a chance to be reformed- with parts repealed this election day, and Kamala Harris has refused to say whether she will vote for or against it.

California has been reeling from rogue prosecutors up and down the state, who’ve used provisions of Proposition 47 as an excuse, as “get out of jail free” cards to the accused, for perpetrators of crimes to avoid prosecution and therefore, avoid accountability.

From the recall of San Francisco’s notorious District Attorney Chesa Boudin, to the impending recall of Oakland/Alameda County’s DA Pamela Price and the ending of George Gascon’s non-prosecuting career in Los Angeles, we see real momentum; these three abusers of the criminal justice system, defense attorneys posing as prosecutors, have or will be voted out, for their incessant work to ruin criminal justice under the guise of Prop. 47.

And in 2013, the responsibility for the creation of the California ballot measure language and title of the measure, nicknamed “Safe Schools and Neighborhoods Act,” was the responsibility of then-Attorney General, Kamala Harris. Whether it was her direct and personal responsibility, or that of her office which she supervises, the damage to our state has been clear.

Yet when pressed today how she would vote on the current California voter initiative to reform this disastrous Prop. 47 law on the books, she failed to take a stand.

We law-abiding, hard-working taxpayers of San Francisco, who’ve rallied to recall a rogue DA who abused Prop 47’s provisions, and the people of the state of California who are on the eve of ending DAs Price and Gascon’s careers, should take great heed in noticing Kamala Harris’ dismissing of the question over how she voted on Prop 47 reform, which is today a proposition in California, Prop 36.

This should have been a no-brainer for Harris. Instead, this gaff on her part may be the very single reason for voters who’ve been on the fence over Trump and Harris, to send Kamala Harris packing.

  1. When pressed, she lies. Kamala ruined our state’s criminal justice system with reforms, but now has forgotten what she did? How in the world does this candidate even have a chance to be president?

  2. Unfortunately, Harris punting on Prop 36 will not resonate with voters outside of California. It should but it won’t.
