Rouda Jumps on Rohrabacher ‘Deceiver’ Train

In the latest drama surrounding California’s 48^th Congressional District, Democratic challenger Harley Rouda has attached himself to pre-existing medical policies after MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough blasts Dana Rohrabacher (R-Costa Mesa) for deceiving voters about his stance on people with such conditions.

Discussing the subject on Scarborough’s ‘Morning Joe’, the talk show host called out all Republicans saying “Oh, my God, they’re all lying,” however, he specifically focused on Rohrabacher adding a clip of the Representative vouching to protect these people during a speech in D.C.

“All those other Republicans, you know what they did as well? They also are either suing to make sure that insurance companies don’t have to support pre-existing conditions, or they voted in Congress to make sure that insurance companies don’t have to pay for preexisting conditions. They’re all lying through their teeth!” said Scarborough.

During the last vote in Congress pertaining to the issue, Rohrabacher sided against the people despite his apparent support. He also voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which would have essentially protected pre-existing conditions under a grandfather clause.

Rouda didn’t pass up the opportunity to spotlight the Incumbents flip-flop on the issue as he said “Joe’s right, Rohrabacher is lying when he states he supports pre-existing condition protections. He voted to eliminate protections 17 times.. We need to expand affordable health care to every American, not cause more harm to those already suffering.”

In what could also prove to be a potential flip-flop in party governance, President Trump has acknowledged the Republican several times. Although it is not known if this was a direct response to Scarborough’s set, Trump tweeted yesterday evening; “Dana Rohrabacher has been a great Congressman for his District and for the people of Cal. He works hard and is respected by all – he produces!”
