The role, along with their duties and responsibilities, of local agencies in the State of California is quite extensive. Title 5 (Sections 50001 – 57607) of the California Government Code is dedicated to local agencies, and there are hundreds of code sections applicable to these local agencies, including cities, counties and other agencies.
