Newsom’s Gerrymander: A Power Grab to Silence Californians

Newsom and his allies don’t want competition; they want total control

By Sheriff Chad Bianco, August 19, 2025 11:16 am

Governor Gavin Newsom isn’t just mismanaging California – he’s trying to rig it. His latest scheme is a shameless gerrymander designed to cement one-party rule by wiping out conservative voices.

Republicans, independents, and working families already know how hard it is to be heard in this state. Now Newsom wants to finish the job by tearing apart the independent redistricting system voters created to keep politicians honest. If he gets his way, Democrats will redraw the maps to guarantee their own victories through the end of the decade. That’s not democracy; that’s dictatorship by design.

This is a direct attack on rural California, on law enforcement, on parents, on taxpayers, and on every conservative who dares to stand up to Sacramento’s failed policies. Newsom and his allies don’t want competition; they want total control. They know voters are fed up with rising crime, higher taxes, and families fleeing the state. Instead of changing course, they’re changing the rules.

The message is simple: if you can’t win fairly, cheat.

Make no mistake: this gerrymander would erase conservative districts, silence Republican voters, and guarantee that liberal elites tighten their grip on power. It’s a power grab to protect Newsom’s political ambitions for higher office, not to represent Californians.

We’ve seen this playbook before. Democrats talk about “defending democracy,” then turn around and shred it when it threatens their hold on power. They want to pick their voters instead of letting voters pick their leaders. That’s un-American.

Californians cannot sit on the sidelines. This fight is about whether our voices count or whether we’ll be permanently sidelined. If we allow Newsom’s gerrymander to succeed, we’ll lose our ability to fight back against the radical policies destroying this state.

We must draw a line here. Californians from all political backgrounds must unite, get loud, and call this out for what it is: a corrupt, anti-democratic power grab. The independent redistricting commission was a victory for voters. Newsom wants to burn it down because he knows his policies have failed and his party’s grip is slipping.

If Newsom wins this fight, Californians lose their voice for a generation. That’s exactly what he wants.

We cannot let it happen.

Say no to Newsom’s gerrymander. Say no to one-party rule. Say no to a governor who would rather rig the game than respect the voters. It’s time for Californians to rise up, stand united, and defend our right to fair representation.

Because if we lose this fight, Sacramento will never listen to us again.

  1. Well said, Sheriff Bianco – the “commission” is already stacked with Democrat-leaning individuals, the electronic voting platforms installed by Alex Padilla before he skated to backfill Kamala’s Senate seat skew election results by design, the cheat-by-mail voting procedures installed during the plandemic enables vote-counting irregularities and voter rolls have been compromised for decades….
California is a CESSPOOL of corruption and we need Chad Bianco as GOVERNOR to bring “law and order” to California politics…. starting with this redistricting debacle…

California Globe should take the lead and create and sell car magnets denouncing this redistricting initiative and get the grassroots message out literally on the streets and highways because too many California voters get their “new” from the left-leaning Mockingbird Media….

  2. I think we are all in agreement on redistricting being a bad idea, but what are the mechanics of what is going on in Sacramento? How are they trying to pull this off, and what’s the status? I think it is bill AB 604, but that’s a guess. I have not seen anywhere on this site of what the actual bill number is.

    1. California’s legislative Democrat Marxist thugs held a press conference Monday morning trying to justify why they are kicking the current independent California Redistricting Commission to the curb for the next few elections. They mostly blamed President Trump and they introduced their stupid package of three bills, SB 280, AB 604, and ACA 8, described in detail by California Globe contributor Chris Micheli:

    1. Yet you still are here!
      😂
      Albeit, not to change minds.
As someone else posted, @ShowandTell perhaps, we have heard it all before, and since you enjoy your own quotes,
      blah, blah, blah.
      Still waiting😂
      TRUMP 2028!

  3. I think the Guber is in a lycanthropic transformational panic that those suspect machines won’t be plugged in midterm election day.
