Planned Parenthood Delivers Valentine Condoms to California Lawmakers

Roses are Red, 

Violets are blue,

Planned Parenthood promotes safe sex,

Now your office can too… 

So reads the message included in the Valentine’s Day “goody bag” California lawmakers in the State Capitol received from Planned Parenthood on Valentine’s Day.

“This is the ‘goody bag’ Planned Parenthood dropped off at my office. Stay classy PP. Stay classy,” Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez (R-Lake Elsinore) posted on Facebook on Valentine’s Day, along with a photo of the gift.

Sen. Republican Leader Shannon Grove (R-Bakersfield) also weighed in: “We confirmed several offices received this ‘gift’ from Planned Parenthood, including mine. Really???? This is how PP communicates with members of the state legislature. Good thing I stopped a group of kids from seeing it in my office……#Crass #disgusting #Vulgar.”

The Strange Message from Planned Parenthood

“DON’T F*CK WITH US,” reads the condom in the Planned Parenthood gift bag.

“DON’T F*CK WITHOUT US.”

Several Capitol employees including Sen. Grove said the statement on the condom appeared to be a threat. Indeed, “Don’t f*ck with us” isn’t mincing words.

Imagine if an elected Senator or Assemblymember gave this “goody bag” to a member of his or her staff.

Others said in the era of #MeToo and hypersensitivity to sexual harassment, this “goody bag” and condoms appears to condone workplace sexual relationships.

A woman on Facebook replied to Sen. Grove: “this ‘Valentine’ looks a lot like sexual harassment. Can you imagine getting that from a coworker, neighbor, or relative? I think this should be challenged as sexual harassment. This is not acceptable and Planned Parenthood should be held accountable. With all of the #me too pandering they do, it’s time their actions be exposed more and more. Glad you’re getting the word out.”

Another Facebook friend replied to Melendez: “Charming. Wonder how many of these they dropped off at area schools?”

During the many State Capitol investigations of sexual harassment, Democrat lawmakers continued their unwavering support of Planned Parenthood.

And in December, the nearly bankrupt Los Angeles Unified School District diverted $10 million to allow Planned Parenthood to open clinics at 50 Los Angeles high schools. In fact, while 15 California abortion businesses have closed,
LAUSD announced it was opening the 50 Planned Parenthood clinics in California’s failing public schools.

Californians for Life reported, “Despite the pro-abortion Democrat Party political domination here in California, California leads the nation with 15 abortion businesses CLOSED, contributing to the 32% decrease nationwide as documented by the abortion industry’s report released today!”

Several Capitol staffers said they wished lawmakers had made more out of the inappropriateness of the “goody bag,” rather than just posting on social media.

They also could have made a big deal out of the inappropriateness of the large bowl of condoms former Senator Isador Hall kept on the reception desk in his Capitol office. Imagine explaining that to the thousands of school children who tour the Capitol annually.
