Republican Clark County Commissioner Receives Credible Death Threat

Clark County Commissioner April Becker, the only republican on the seven-person commission, received a credible death threat shared with The Globe (see below).

On X, Captain GayAmerica threatens, “I am coming down to Nevada for you April Becker. I hope your windows and doors are locked. Because I love a challenge when hunting my PREY.”

PDX in the hashtag refers to Portland, Oregon, a city that has made national headlines for Antifa-related violence against MAGA supporters and federal authorities. Internet sleuths on social media note that the account has been suspended, but claim that the user is associated with domestic terror suspect John Paul Cupp of Portland. The Globe cannot confirm the connection.

According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Cupp is facing federal, criminal charges. “Cupp threatened to kill law enforcement officers and sexually assault their wives. Cupp regularly produced violent online rhetoric and content calling for war against the United States, making antisemitic threats, and threats of violence,” the DHS revealed in a press release.

The threats from violent Left-wing agitators against federal law enforcement has increased 8,000 percent, while Americans witnessed an assassination attempt on President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, last July and the assassination of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, during a rally at Utah State University last September.

The Globe has been told that Commissioner Becker has contacted the authorities and will not provide comment at this time due to an “active situation.”

In 2024, Becker was elected to represent the Clark County Commission, District C. District C encompasses North Summerlin, Northwest Las Vegas, Mt. Charleston, Kyle Canyon, and Indian Springs. She is the first Republican commisioner elected in nearly three decades and advocates for a more accountable and transparent government.
