Wildlife Conservation Law
Deals with the Wildlife Conservation Law of 1947 in California

Fish and Game Code Division 2, Chapter 4 deals with the Wildlife Conservation Law of 1947 in California. Article 1 provides general provisions. Section 1300 names the chapter the Wildlife Conservation Law of 1947.
Section 1301 provides that the preservation, protection and restoration of wildlife within the State is an inseparable part of providing adequate recreation for our people in the interest of public welfare; and it is the policy of the State to acquire and restore to the highest possible level, and maintain in a state of high productivity, those areas that can be most successfully used to sustain wildlife and which will provide adequate and suitable recreation.
Article 2 deals with the Wildlife Conservation Board. Section 1320 created in the Department of Fish and Wildlife the Wildlife Conservation Board. The board consists of the president of the commission, the director, the Director of Finance, and four public members.
Section 1321 specifies that the chairman of the board is elected by the members of the board. Section 1322 says the board members receive their actual and necessary traveling expenses, which is paid from the Wildlife Restoration Fund.
Section 1323 provides for the membership of the legislative appointees to meet with the board and participate in its activities to the extent that their participation is not incompatible with their respective positions as Members of the Legislature.
Section 1324 states that the Members of the Legislature constitute an interim investigating committee on the subject of this chapter and have the powers and duties imposed upon a committee by the Joint Rules of the Senate and the Assembly.
