Cancel Culture: Rather than learn from history, San Francisco tries to erase it

The San Francisco Unified School District “is planning to rename a school named after Abraham Lincoln because the former president did not demonstrate that ‘black lives mattered to him.” President Abraham Lincoln, considered one of the greatest U.S. Presidents in the country’s history, only abolished slavery in 1863 with the Emancipation Proclamation.

George Washington, Herbert Hoover and U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, are all on the cancel list. Roosevelt Middle School will get a more politically acceptable name over President Theodore Roosevelt’s opposition of civil rights and black suffrage for black people. Feinstein made the naughty list “for allowing the Confederate flag to fly outside City Hall back in 1984 when she was mayor,” the Daily Mail reported. Her name will be stripped from the Dianne Feinstein Elementary School.

“Cancel culture” has become a reliable way to achieve upward mobility, establish social connection, and identify allies and enemies by isolating people who have violated ideological rules about race or gender,” Robert Henderson wrote at City Journal. “’Cancelling’ has become an entertaining hobby—an indulgent, dopamine-feeding activity practiced on social media until its cruel practitioners, ultimately bored, follow the algorithms elsewhere.”

Jeremiah Jeffries, “The man behind the renaming of 44 of San Francisco’s schools is a first grade teacher who was influenced by his parents – both prominent members of the Nation of Islam – who set up their own Islamic school,” the Daily Mail reported.

“The history of Lincoln and Native Americans is complicated, not nearly as well known as that of the Civil War and slavery,” Jeremiah Jeffries, chairman of the renaming committee and a first grade teacher, told the San Francisco Chronicle.

“Lincoln, like the presidents before him and most after, did not show through policy or rhetoric that black lives ever mattered to them outside of human capital and as casualties of wealth building.”

The New York Post reported: “The discussion for Lincoln centered around his treatment of First Nation peoples, because that was offered first,” Jeremiah Jeffries, chairman of the renaming committee and a first-grade teacher, told the paper. “Once he met criteria in that way, we did not belabor the point.”

The Globe noticed when even President Donald Trump Tweeted:

“The San Francisco United School District’s School Names Advisory Committee chairman said that Abraham Lincoln “did not show through policy or rhetoric that Black lives ever mattered,” the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Herbert Hoover Middle School is to be renamed over the segregation of black families when he was secretary of commerce.

However, it is not clear why Jeffries and the committee ruled that farm labor leader and activist César Chávez can keep his name on César Chávez Elementary school, despite his “derogatory comments” and opposition of illegal immigrants. This exercise appears to be immature and emotional, and not based on the body of history of each of their social justice targets.

Jeremiah Jeffries and his committee represent everything that is wrong with public education today… all you have to do is listen to him:

  1. They should instead rename the schools that were named after members of the Human Betterment Foundation, a group that believes the human race could be improved through selective reproduction including forced sterilization.
There are 2 schools in Palo Alto, and many, many more around world named after these depopulation scientists, writers, etc. John D Rockefeller founded this evil organization in 1930. May God Almighty help us all! Psalm 91

  2. Whoops, I meant that Rockefeller founded the Eugenics in 1930, and E.S. Gosney founded the Human Betterment in 1928, but both cover the same ways to depopulate.
