How exactly does a California National Guard battalion not know when someone absconds with a green camouflage Humvee?
The FBI in Los Angeles announced on Twitter Sunday that the Humvee was stolen in Bell, California on Friday.

Military bloggers immediately weighed in on the theft saying because identifiers include Bumper# 40BSBHQ6, it is the battalion commander’s vehicle. “It’s likely that this wasn’t done by some rando off the street. Every soldier would know just by looking at the bumper number who that vehicle belongs to,” someone said in response on Twitter.
Perhaps even more concerning is with the unrest in the country, the theft of a military Humvee is likely not just some dumb thief out for a joy ride.
The Humvee is worth $120,000. The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward.
While it will be difficult to hide the Humvee, we hope the California National Guard doesn’t send out social workers to retrieve it from the thieves.
