When Did Abortion Become Normal?

Pres. Joe Biden is running new television ads promoting abortions up to birth following the ruling by the Arizona Supreme Court protecting babies from abortions

Media hysteria dominated news this week when the Arizona Supreme Court upheld an 1864 law that makes performing abortion a felony. Immediately mainstream media and politicians on the left claimed “Arizona Supreme Court upholds near-total abortion ban.”

Asked at the White House on Wednesday what he would say to the people of Arizona, President Joe Biden bizarrely said, “Elect me.”

39 states recognize the unlawful killing of an unborn child as homicide in at least some circumstances. The federal Unborn Victims of Violence Act, enacted April 1, 2004, covers unborn victims of federal and military crimes, the National Right to Life explains.

Remember the Lacy Peterson California murder case? Her husband Scott Peterson was convicted in 2004 of killing Lacy, 7-months pregnant, and her unborn child Conner. Laci’s and Conner’s murders were the driving force behind the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, also known as “Laci and Conner’s Law,” which President George W. Bush signed in 2004.

Media and even Vice President Harris claimed this week that Donald Trump, if elected again, will sign a national abortion ban. However, Mr. Trump very clearly announced his position on abortion this week – that it is a state’s rights issue now that the United States Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, sending the issue back to the states, CNN reported.

“My view is now that we have abortion where everyone wanted it from a legal standpoint, the states will determine by vote or legislation, or perhaps both. And whatever they decide must be the law of the land. In this case, the law of the state,” Trump said in a video posted to his Truth Social account.

“Many states will be different,” Trump continued. “Many will have a different number of weeks, or some will have more conservative than others, and that’s what they will be. At the end of the day, this is all about the will of the people.”

This is what is known as federalism. The Arizona justices also sent the case back to a lower trial court to sort out questions about the law’s constitutionality, the Hill reported.

But the Biden administration jumped on the news, and immediately lied about Mr. Trump’s position. The mockingbirds in the media parroted the lie.

As VP Harris makes a trip to Arizona this coming week, Reuters reports “Democrats think restrictions on reproductive rights can help them secure another victory in the border state where voters had been more focused on cost-of-living issues and immigration.”

The first Vice President to ever visit an abortion clinic, said in March, “How dare these elected leaders believe they are in a better position to tell women what they need, to tell women what is in their best interest.” She’s also the most shallow, obtuse Vice President ever.

Reuters reported on her trip:

“We all must understand who is to blame: It is the former president, Donald Trump,” Harris will say in Tucson before reproductive health patients and providers, according to excerpts from a campaign official.

“Here’s what a second Trump term looks like: more bans, more suffering, less freedom. But we are not going to let that happen.”

Now Joe Biden is running new television ads promoting abortions up to birth on the heels of the ruling by the Arizona Supreme Court protecting babies from abortions, Lifesite News reports. “The seven-figure ad buy highlights former President Donald Trump’s record on abortion and says he is responsible for it because he nominated Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe and allowed states to protect babies from abortion. Trump has taken credit for the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022.”

I re-Tweeted Biden’s post and replied:

“Your bodies and your decisions belong to you and not the government,” @JoeBiden says in new ad, “I will fight like hell to get your freedom back.”

Where was this sentiment during the C*VID lockdowns, and @JoeBiden ordered mandatory shots for fed employees and contractors, and all employers with 100 or more employees, and the FDA ordered shots for infants and preschoolers, and then all school kids? He called this “Actions to Protect Americans.” Clearly decisions belonged to the government at that time.

The lack of self-awareness, and even the lack of concern for the truth really is rich. The Biden administration claims “your body, your choice,” while it is still pushing COVID-19 shots, never admitting the brutal enforcement of vaccine mandates or the actual development of the virus.

“The ad features President Biden speaking directly to voters about the risk former President Trump poses to abortion access for millions of women,” The Hill reports. “The question is — if Donald Trump gets back in power, what freedom will you lose next?” Biden says in the 30-second ad.

Lifesite News reports another 60-second spot features testimony from a Texas woman who says she nearly died twice from a miscarriage because she was denied care.

At the end of the video, the ad text says, “Donald Trump did this.”

What is behind the Arizona high court decision? Lifesite News explains:

Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys represented Dr. Eric Hazelrigg, an obstetrician and medical director of Choices Pregnancy Center in Arizona, who filed a petition last March asking the state’s high court to review an Arizona Court of Appeals ruling.

The appellate court’s ruling misinterpreted state law, against its plain meaning, to allow abortion in circumstances where the Arizona Legislature prohibited it. It also enjoined officials from fully enforcing the state’s pro-life law to protect unborn children. The Arizona Supreme Court reversed this ruling, allowing the law to be enforced as written.

“Life is a human right, and today’s decision allows the state to respect that right and fully protect life again—just as the legislature intended,” said ADF Senior Counsel Jake Warner, who argued before the court. “Life begins at conception. At just six weeks, unborn babies’ hearts begin to beat. At eight weeks, they have fingers and toes. And at 10 weeks, their unique fingerprints begin to form. Arizona’s pro-life law has protected unborn children for over 100 years, and the people of Arizona, through their elected representatives, have repeatedly affirmed that law, including as recently as 2022. We celebrate the Arizona Supreme Court’s decision that allows the state’s pro-life law to again protect the lives of countless, innocent unborn children.”

The Arizona law includes an exception, allowing an abortion “when it is necessary” to save a pregnant woman’s life. The Associated Press reported that “The law provides no exceptions for rape or incest.”

Remember when the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision was leaked in 2022? Almost immediately, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a father of four, jumped on the band wagon: “Our daughters, sisters, mothers, and grandmothers will not be silenced,” Newsom tweeted. The world is about to hear their fury. California will not sit back. We are going to fight like hell.”

The Governor who shut down California’s beaches and legendary tourist attractions, churches, bars and restaurants as a response to the COVID pandemic, now promotes abortion tourism, inviting tourists to visit California and get an abortion if their own state has abortion restrictions, the Globe reported.

California Senate President pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins (D-San Diego), Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) and Governor Gavin Newsom released a joint statement at the time:

“California will not stand idly by as women across America are stripped of their rights and the progress so many have fought for gets erased. We will fight. California is proposing an amendment to enshrine the right to choose in our state constitution so that there is no doubt as to the right to abortion in this state. We know we can’t trust the Supreme Court to protect reproductive rights, so California will build a firewall around this right in our state constitution. Women will remain protected here.”

It’s interesting that Atkins, Rendon and Newsom called abortion a “right,” when that was the crux of the legal issue, according to Justice Alito’s draft decision.

What followed was the California Legislative Women’s Caucus and the California Future of Abortion Council proudly announcing their 2023 17-bill package on “reproductive justice” and abortion rights declaring California a “Safe Haven for Abortion.”

The governor also budgeted more than $200 million in state funding to create abortion.ca.gov, cover uninsured abortion care and to support providers.

  1. It’s Biden, Newsom and the rest of the criminal Democrat mafia in power who want to normalize abortion just like they want to normalize disfiguring transexual conversions and making toxic “vaccine” shots mandatory. They’re part of a globalist satanic death cult?

    1. Bingo! Human sacrifice has always been a major part of the satanic death cult. Now Democrats have “normalized: it as part of our government. There will be Heaven to pay for it and this is so much worse that “hell to pay’.

      1. This is really sick stuff for sure. So much effort to build a hell on earth.
They think it’s fun fun fun to play footsie with the Devil. Good luck with that.

    2. Biden (or the guy playing Biden) mumbling about abortion access is just another one of the tired scripts that Demoncrats put out before every election. That along with the script about seniors will lose their social security.

  2. This is just a perfect example of how sick society has become. Especially here in this once great state. Now the people in charge want to pay other people to come here and kill their children or, if that fails, pay them to come here and chemically castrate them and surgically mutilate them in the name of “gender diversity”. However, we can’t lay all the blame at the politicians feet. We, as a collective, are responsible for all of this as we are the ones that put these evil creatures into power and continue to let their anti-human policies persist and grow.

  3. ‭2 Chronicles 7:13-14 NASB1995‬
[13] If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people,
[14] and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Democrats think that they are more important than God, most do not believe in God, and that they ARE God themselves….

  4. While I understand the desire for women to be in control of their own bodies, calling abortion a “women’s health” issue is mind boggling to the extreme. Sure, if the women’s life is in danger or her pregnancy is the result of rape then an argument can be made. However, if pregnancy is fundamentally a health crisis then humans would have gone extinct millennia ago.

  5. ……While I support DJT, I don’t support even his stated position on abortion – a bit of a Pontious Pilate act in my opinion – washing his hands of the issue by handballing it to the states, rather than stating a moral oposition. Like Bill Maher says – abortion is murder (though unlike Bill, I am not ok with it).
