Shanice Dyer Kills, Gascón Frees, Another Person Dead
‘The cost of Gascón’s ideology is measured in blood’

In the fall of 2019, Shanice Dyer murdered two people in cold blood.
There is no question about that – she pleaded guilty to it.
A few months ago, Dyer allegedly helped murder another person.
She was out and on the streets less than four years after she committed double murder specifically because of the policies of Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón.
Again – there is no question about that.
Now, Dyer – an East Coast Crip (ECC) who reportedly also goes by “Infant China” – stands accused of being involved in yet another killing.
She was 17 when she committed her first double murder. During the pandemic, courts slowed to a crawl, meaning that although former DA Jackie Lacey was planning to charge her as an adult (the probation department agreed with that, by the way) her case hadn’t made it through that process before Gascón was elected in 2020 and he enacted his blanket policy of never trying juveniles as adults.
So instead of getting – most likely – a sentence of 25 years to life, she spent about four years in juvenile jail.
“The cost of Gascón’s ideology is measured in blood,” said Michele Hanisee, president of the Los Angeles Association of Deputy District Attorneys, the union representing the lawyers who work for Gascon. “The failure here is not just Gascón’s policies, but his philosophy. The very foundation of justice is built upon accountability and ensuring that those who commit heinous acts are held responsible.”
In 2019, Dyer murdered Jose Flores and Alfredo Carrera while they were getting gifts out of a car for a baby shower. Flores was getting his PhD. In astrophysics at the University of California, Irvine. Carrera was the father of the impending child being celebrated – his pregnant fiancée watched him die.
Dyer committed the random hit because, according to one of the many documents filed by the families when trying to fight Gascon, “(T)he day before the shooting, an ECC gang member was murdered by a Florencia 13 gang member. An OG ECC gang member told younger gang members that they needed to ‘put in some work.’ Dyer, along with two others, drove into Florencia 13 neighborhood and randomly happened upon the three victims and shot and killed Flores and Carrera and shot and injured (a third person, a juvenile) without provocation or justification.”
Lacey was in the process of pushing Dyer into adult court when the election of Gascon got in the way. Days after he took office, he issued a blanket ban on charging any juvenile – no matter the crime – as an adult.
Hence Dyer going to juvie and then getting out earlier this year, allowing her to allegedly take part in the murder of Joshua Streeter. According to Hanisee:
“(J)ust four years after her involvement in the Flores and Carrera murders, Dyer is alleged to have aided and abetted two fellow East Coast Crip gang members in the murder of 21-year-old Joshua Streeter. Streeter was gunned down in a parking lot at the Indian Hill Mall Indoor Swap Meet in Pomona. Dyer, who should have been incarcerated for life, was free—thanks to Gascón’s policies—and now another family is grieving the loss of their loved one. Streeter’s death could have been prevented, but Gascón’s commitment to releasing violent criminals like Dyer back onto the streets has once again resulted in tragedy.”
George Gascon’s office did not reply when asked for comment.
Blood on his hands, indeed.

In a just country (and world) Gascón would be sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole. He commits crimes against humanity under the laughable guise of “criminal reform.” Los Angeles needs a Gascónectomy. Please vote Yes on Prop 36.
