Truth Plus Trust Equals Healing Reality, Part II

The second part of this paper deals with artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare, and my experience with our broken healthcare system in Sacramento as a patient, not as a doctor. The story continues from here.

Four days before my MRI was done at the not-for-profit integrated healthcare system (hospital) in Sacramento which is characteristic of all the hospital systems in the northern California region, I was seen by a urologist who is affiliated with the hospital where the MRI was obtained.  This means that the urologist works for the same facility that the radiologist works for.  I’m sure all of this sounds complicated, but I am protecting all the physicians who are employed by these broken systems throughout the state from the wrath of these corrupt systems and the federal and state government if I were to rat them out.   

Both referrals were almost 2 MONTHS from when my primary doctor set them up for me. That is a long wait, friends! In the year 2025, this is 3^rd world action, in the capital of California. It is shameful! I let both my primary doctor’s office know and the scheduler for the hospital housed MRI study know this wait time is unacceptable and immoral. They agreed and apologetically said they hear this complaint all the time.

At the urologist’s office, I was invited by the physician’s assistant to participate with the urologist with an “AI” scribe when he came into the room. I responded…” Absolutely not”!  This request was unquestionably shocking. Let me explain.

In the not-too-distant past, I wrote a couple of papers that outline my opinion about privacy and artificial intelligence that were both published at California Globe, called “The Hippocratic Oath: Privacy” and “AI Quackery in AI Healthcare”.  I refer you to these papers so that you can decide for yourself whether you would allow AI into the exam room if you came up against that choice in the future.  I think your response will be the same as mine.

A doctor-patient relationship is meant to remain in the doctor’s office.  What that doctor and that patient decide to do about the medical or surgical issue at hand is very private, including how much money the patient will pay for the service! It is nobody’s business but the patient and the doctor!

Here is a link describing for you why AI is now offered to physicians to simplify their practices so they can unload their “administrative responsibilities” on AI and have much more time to interact with their patients.This is anticipated to add “humanness” to these office visits, for both the doctor and the patient.

This strategy completely separates the doctor from the patient. It is a dehumanizing process, and the “encounter” is changed into medical coding. Without conversation, choice is completely removed from the patient and the doctor, and both are plugged into algorithms. In simple English, this means low or no claims payout for very careless patient treatment. It also means that a motivated, supercharged, battle-hardened, Spirit filled, empathetic doctor will make mincemeat out of an evil, silly, greedy, mean-spirited, zealot programed machine every time, hands down. Mark my words.     

The administrative responsibilities that you don’t understand above are the “meat” of waste, fraud, theft, abuse, neglect, and killing associated with Newsomcare and Obamacare. It’s called CPT Codes and How They Are Used. This is the corrupt system that takes the understanding of what the doctor and the patient relationship values away from them (money, the means of exchange for excellent skill and judgment and patient satisfaction) and places it into the hands of the insurance companies and the government. It is the cause of the demise of the medical profession. 

Doctors are now required to spend hours cranking out CPT codes that are sent to the insurance companies to get paid. Authorization procedures come first, and then after the services are executed, claims for payment are submitted. You can’t even imagine just how evil these insurance companies, especially Medicare, are. When I stopped my practice in 2004, I had $250,000 dollars in accounts receivable and was being paid 20 cents on a dollar by these thieves! These voluminous accounts receivable are reflected in denial after denial of payment for services rendered. That is unsustainable and unethical. I hope that makes you seethingly mad. It sure did me, but I eventually got over it.  

There is one more corrupt piece of this puzzle you must understand as you watch this healthcare system fall apart.  It’s called the relative value scale.  Here is the link that identifies it.

 This relative value scale is described by Louis S. Wegryn, MD, President of AAPS, the year 1959.  At the time this declaration was made, I was 8 years old! There are many reasons, as discussed in this definition, why American medicine SHOULD NOT adopt such a process. Please read this document carefully.

The thieves in Washington D.C. just couldn’t help themselves. In 1989, four years after I hung my shingle in private practice in Sacramento, and 30 years after Dr. Wegryn’s report, the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA 1989) was passed and signed into law by President George H.W. Bush.  It established a fee schedule based on the Resource-Based Relative Value Scale (RBRVS). This law fundamentally changed how Medicare reimbursed physicians.  This system has destroyed fee for service free enterprise medicine, as warned by Dr. Wegryn in 1959. It is outright legalized theft and neglect.  Our out-of-control government is shameful.  But there is plenty of blame to go around, because we complacent Americans just let it happen!

To put the icing on the cake, HIPAA was signed into law by President Bill Clinton on August 21, 1996.  This is a very “slick” law called the health insurance portability and accountability act. Patient and doctor contracts are PRIVATE. How much money is paid is between them. Now add a “health insurance payment” and you quickly see that portability is electronic billing to a third-party thief! Accountability means that the thief justifies paying the doctor what they feel like paying, not what the doctor is worth! If that’s not slick, you don’t love free enterprise! And all the thieving reptiles in congress know it and pull it out as stockholders receiving dividends.  These people are parasites!  In essence, the meaning of patient privacy is exactly the opposite.  Health insurance is a scam, scam, scam.

This paper demonstrates DISCOVERY of why your healthcare system is failing you. The way I found this out was by becoming a patient, knowing what a doctor who was deselected from private practice knows. I am alerting you so you will be prepared the next time you have to go to the doctor.  Part 1 of this document highlights the informed consent.  Demand it. Part 2 highlights AI. If I were you, I would insist that the exam room is not BUGGED with healthcare AI. Do not allow AI to assist your doctor.  Enough is enough. The time for ripping the doctor and the patient off ends now!  

President Trump has stated that our health insurance system is broken.  His administration is now on the move against the toxic Governor Gavin Newsom and the crony capitalists who are destroying California. He calls his forward and productive movement “Trumpcare.”  

Until Trumpcare takes over, be smart and be safe.  When that occurs, you WILL BE smart and safe with a lot more cash in your pocket and a great feeling in your heart.  Absolutely refuse ambient AI to participate in your interactions with the burned-out, indoctrinated, and woke physicians you are forced to see nowadays.  Both you and your doctors will be free soon, and you will become great friends!
