Does ‘Medicare for All’ Promote the Common Good?

The following is a statement made by Xavier Becerra regarding his long-term policy goals from earlier this year (2026):

“I have been a supporter of ‘Medicare for All’ for more than 30 years.  We can deliver real relief now while building toward a universal, single-payer CalCare system that puts people before profits.” 

During the gubernatorial debate on September 30, 2026, Steve Hilton pointed out that while Becerra was Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) under the Biden Administration from 2021-2025, Susan Rice betrayed him (Becerra) and called him an idiot behind the scenes.  It was for his reluctance to find additional space for HHS-managed child migrant shelters during the border crisis.  Others in the Biden administration criticized Becerra for his handling of the covid pandemic, defining him as overly passive and detached, keeping an “invisible” public profile, “asleep at the wheel” on his messaging strategy, his lack of preparedness for Presidential briefings, skipping meetings, etc.  

All these various criticisms led the administration to sideline him on major COVID-19 decisions.  He was incompetent as HHS Secretary during the political viral hoax, according to the incompetent team he was playing for!

It appears that Becerra, as the son of migrants, has as his goal the protection and promotion of “Medicare for All”, with the strategy of stopping Trump from taking this healthcare insurance policy away from his state of California!  Becerra has TDS! He is a carbon copy of Governor Gavin Newsom!  You could say he’s a good old California boy, through and through, just like Gavin.  

BUT beware of Becerra. He derives a sense of power from his ideology.  He worships a false god called communism, a “universal, single-payer CalCare system that puts PROFITS BEFORE PEOPLE”!

So let me repeat the question above.  Does “Medicare for All” promote the common good (or the general welfare) of Californians?  To answer this question definitively, I reviewed and really dug into an article from back in 2007 in the early phase of struggling over the loss of (expropriation of) my vocation in Sacramento as a private practice general surgeon.  It is extremely pertinent to our present circumstances and answers a lot of questions; and I want to share it with you right now.  It is my hope that you read it intensely and interestedly, objectively, and calmly.  In short, read it as if your life depends on it, because it is the solution to our political and economic problems in California at this very minute.  We face an election very soon, and we need to get out in large numbers and be sure our voices are heard loud and clear.    

If you take away from this brilliant and uplifting article by Reverend Robert A. Sirico what I take away from it, you will recognize that capitalism or free enterprise (same meaning) in medicine will promote the common good, and that “Medicare for All” is nihilism.

If we don’t fix this problem right now, I guarantee you that a novel virus particle will take hold January l, 2027, and the effect will be a complete loss of our freedom for the benefit of none, simply because the doctors of our present era WILL NOT FIGHT FOR YOU until you fight for them!  Set your California doctors free!

Why don’t we do something REAL smart?  Why don’t we follow the advice of Steve Hilton, called “Positive Populism”, shifting our economic and political power away from central rule and investing it in the HIGH-CLASS STRONG MIDDLE-CLASS of California, as defined by Reverend Sirico?  Free enterprise unleashes the common good everywhere it goes.  It unleashes the Spirit of economic initiative!
