Medical Federalism and Freedom to Heal

There are also fundamental mechanisms like tax exempt medical savings accounts, affordable catastrophic medical insurance, and private practice hospitals

The ability of a doctor and patient to unite and carry out their respective roles in the art of healing has been almost completely blocked over the past 75 years in America. It is because healing, which is a non-political event, has been transformed into non-healing because of a political event.

Evil, and pampering persuasion has allowed “big government” to take control of all our lives. Our medical system has become non-caring, profoundly expensive (the unfunded liability of Social Security is astronomical), incompetent, unsafe, abusive, unsympathetic, legalistic, and massively regulatory; a failure of the highest order.

However, we can get back our freedom to heal by way of some simple and fundamental steps that will put big government back in the box. And this will allow the doctor and patient to re-unite, develop trust, develop affection for one another as close friends, and reinitiate our freedom to heal from the myriad of diseases known to medical science and treatment.  This includes inflammatory, neoplastic, metabolic, and congenital diseases of all sorts.    That is excellent news!

What is federalism?  It is a protection which was built into our U.S. Constitution by our sagacious founding fathers via AMENDMENT X, which says:

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the People”.

What this amendment clearly indicates is that when a government gets too big and interferes with the business of the doctor and patient, it’s time to kick them in the pants and put them back in the box.  The point is, big government is not allowed the power to politicize healing, and that is constitutional!  The Bill of Rights is protection of We the People, in this case taking action to squash the unauthorized big government power we are watching destroy our way of life.

Here is a statement provided by Ronald Reagan from October 6, 1978, to the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) in Denver, Colorado while campaigning for President.  Be assured that this statement is as true today as it was then.

“Somewhere along the way we forgot that government has a built-in tendency to grow – any government – just government as an institution.  And it grows beyond the consent of the governed.”

He was addressing private practice physicians as a group!  His message is as profound today as it was in 1978!  He was and is prompting us to ACTION!

So, what does that mean for you and me (doctors)? It means that it’s time for an ADJUSTMENT! Now here in California we have the worst governor in America. He and most of his predecessors since Reagan, have overall promoted big government. Thus, for our state to become Golden again, we must overpower not only the federal government, but also the state government in order to spark healing again.  Notice in AMENDMENT X, the part that says … “or the people”.  Our medical destiny is now up to you and me (doctors).  We have a legal mechanism, responsibility and opportunity to fix this mess.   It means that your vote matters a lot.  So, get out there and exercise your right to participate in the destiny of your California medical system.  Get informed and get involved.  We must rely on each other for this.  YOU are very important and your vote is very powerful!

But there is yet one more separation from “big government” that we must achieve to pull this transformation off well. And that is the concept of “the small business model”.  Why?  A big business model for the doctor-patient relationship has too many cooks in the kitchen, and all business deals get messy when either too many patients are working against a doctor, or too many doctors are working against a patient, or even when too many doctors are working against each other!  All are a recipe for disaster.

The optimal relationship is one doctor, one patient at a time. It is intimate and strong, and trust and faith building. That is SMALL but powerful business, honest business, friendly business, and sage business! No swamp of any kind allowed!

In essence, federalism in medicine is de-centralized small business, and in the medical world it means good, solid healing!  There is one more ingredient that we need to work on.  And that is medical education.

Our medical educators and research scientists have let us doctors and you the patients down miserably. Somewhere along the line, those educators and scientists gave up on caring about their fellow man and accepted the lure of big government. One feature of an academic physician is to publish or parish.  Another is the tendency of these people to be socially inept. They shine in the lab in the world of unrewarded one-upmanship where they don’t have to explain their actions to patients but have a very poor bedside manner.

Research can become so central, along with the unfulfilling pseudo reward of praise and cash doled out by big government (tax dollars), that they would sell out their Hippocratic Oath and provide fake or settled science, replacing the high standard of “scientific method” to become popular.  Yes, they would unflinchingly cheat and breach the laws of Hippocrates.

Such is the case of the miserable, short, government medical clerk called Anthony Fauci.  “Dr.” Fauci did a lot of very evil things in handling the Covid hoax, and that is the opposite of the freedom to heal direction we want to go.  He is the king of the crooked, evil academic eggheads of America. He is guilty and he knows he is guilty. He is obscure now.

However, we still need national board exams, and stout standardized national medical and surgical merit-based education for two fundamental reasons.  The first is that medical schools and residency programs from all 50 states contribute to this powerful national system such that we have the optimum research and treatments possible for ALL Americans. The other reason is that when a doctor is board certified, he or she can practice ANYWHERE in America that they choose to live.

The two biggest ingredients to a successful career for any industry are to love what you do, and to live where you want to live. I will guarantee you that a properly taught and trained physician out of Stanford would be competitive in Manhattan or Des Moines. Hands down. And that goes for any doctor in any accredited medical school and residency program in America! And that is a big plus for you and your doctors!

So, regarding medical education, we must keep it federalized or nationalized, but heavens to Betsy, let us not let medical education remain politicized.  Politicization is poison and we need to scrub it out of the system.  It all comes out in the wash!

And one other point here is that we must add the very basics of how to do business for all these highly trained and talented physicians from here on out.  If our doctors had as much business savvy as our plumbers do, watch out America. And you don’t need an MBA to be a doctor or a plumber. You need only critical thinking, common sense, and dedicated hard work!  When activated, you will be looking at competitive, high energy, keep the price down, eager, caring, human, non-robotic machine doctors; a non-politicized meritocracy unmatched in the world.   And no, we don’t need robots or telemedicine. It’s way too much fun and fulfilling to help patients out!  You make great friends!  You and your doctors are going to love each other, better than ever!

There are also fundamental mechanisms like tax exempt medical savings accounts, affordable catastrophic medical insurance, and private practice hospitals. AAPS is chomping at the bit to share these solutions with you.  Please don’t forget aapsonline.org. They’ve been perfecting this adjustment objective for many years. They were receptive to President Reagan’s call to action back in 1978, and they are raring to go now. So PLEASE check them out.

As we fall deeper and deeper into the present trap of communal or Marxist healthcare, it seems that life goes on, long after the thrill of living is gone.  Everybody and everything is broken, complaining, and depending on a broken healthcare system.   There’s no hope or reason to go on.  Indoctrinated physicians are now legally offering assisted suicide as an alternative to going forward here in California, and it’s called the California End of Life Option Act (EOLOA).  What a broken government we have here in California!  Shame on our heartless big California government!  Nonsense!

You could say that the quality of living is so horrible that even existing is intolerable.  Recognize that freedom to heal changes all that.  “Life to the fullest” (John 10:10, NIV) is the antidote to this misery: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full”.  —-Jesus Christ

A solid, caring, affordable, safe, and satisfying system of medical care, better than ever before, called free-enterprise medicine, with safeguards to protect this contract that guarantees the highest quality of life possible for doctor and patient alike, is where we are headed.  That is the ticket!  It’s a system of the People, by the People, and For the People.  One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all!  It’s all up to you and me (doctors) now!  Seize the opportunity!
