Children’s Hospital LA Announces ‘Center for Transyouth Health and Development’
CHLA, LAUSD partner to offer telehealth visits for students aged 12 and older

Did you know that Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has a Center for Transyouth Health and Development? According to the Center, it “is dedicated to providing affirming care for transgender and gender diverse children, adolescents, young adults and their families.”
In addition to providing “affirming care” to youth, “Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Unified School District have partnered to offer virtual health care visits for children at 20 area schools based on absenteeism rates and the number of students with chronic conditions at each location,” MyNewsLA reported.
According to the Transyouth Center, the Services Available at CTYHD are:
- Gender-affirming medical treatment and mental health services
- Family support services and linkage to outside resources
- Case management services, including assistance with legal name and gender marker changes
- Peer Support groups
- Sexual health education including groups, one-on-one navigation services and HIV/STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) screening and treatment.
- Access to PEP (Post Exposure Prophylaxis) and PrEP (Pre Exposure Prophylaxis) for HIV prevention.
- Voluntary participation in ground breaking research
As for the medical services at LAUSD, the article says they will begin on the first day of the 2023-24 school year. “The program will be available to existing CHLA patients aged 12 and older who attend a participating LAUSD school.”
“The partnership with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, the largest provider of pediatric medical care in Los Angeles County, will not only provide world-class care from CHLA specialists. It also removes numerous impediments for families receiving medical attention by providing virtual care at schools, reducing the time families miss work and minimizing time away from the classroom. I can think of no better partner than CHLA to launch the Virtual Care at School Program,” MyNewsLA reports.
“What Makes the Transyouth Center Different?” they ask.
“The Center for Transyouth Health and Development rejects the gatekeeper model of care and focuses on how to help our patients and families in the least restrictive environment possible. The CTYHD focuses on gender-affirming care and strives to make all our patients and their families feel welcomed and understood.”
A reader asked the Globe, “Are these people readying for passage of AB 665 or just forging ahead on their own?” She asked the right question.
Assembly Bill 665 by Assemblywoman Wendy Carrillo (D-Los Angeles) would allow children as young as 12 years to consent to mental health treatment or counseling without parental approval or involvement, the Globe reported in February.
But Wendy Carrillo’s bill isn’t really about teen mental health.
California parents are systematically being replaced by school counselors, teachers, mental health providers, abortion providers, “gender-affirming” trans care specialists, or any number of adults willing to give vaccines, feed kids drugs, provide opposite-sex hormones, authorize gender surgeries, and get them treatment for sexual violence and rape – without a parent being any the wiser. This is also a Constitutional violation of parental rights.
According to Jennifer Bilek who has examined the money behind the transgender project for many years:
“The first gender clinic for children opened in Boston in 2007. In the past ten years, more than 30 clinics for children with purported gender dysphoria have arisen in the United States alone, the largest serving 725 patients.”
“Over the past decade, there has been an explosion in transgender medical infrastructure across the United States and world to “treat” transgender people,” Bilek continues. “In addition to gender clinics proliferating across the United States, hospital wings are being built for specialized surgeries, and many medical institutions are clamoring to get on board with the new developments.”
Bilek names the “exceedingly rich, white men with enormous cultural influence” as funding the transgender lobby and various transgender organizations:
“These include but are not limited to Jennifer Pritzker (a male who identifies as transgender); George Soros; Martine Rothblatt (a male who identifies as transgender and transhumanist); Tim Gill (a gay man); Drummond Pike; Warren and Peter Buffett; Jon Stryker (a gay man); Mark Bonham (a gay man); and Ric Weiland (a deceased gay man whose philanthropy is still LGBT-oriented). Most of these billionaires fund the transgender lobby and organizations through their own organizations, including corporations.”
So why would LAUSD get into bed with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles?
LAUSD Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho explains:
“Los Angeles Unified takes an active approach in providing resources that support the whole child by fostering academic excellence, nurturing and enriching green spaces, physical wellbeing and social emotional health.”
LAUSD doesn’t want your kids part of the day for intellectual lessons, they want the “whole child” and promise “academic excellence, nurturing and enriching green spaces, physical wellbeing and social emotional health” – things parents usually provide.
Except that’s a load of BS – LAUSD is failing Los Angeles school kids on a daily basis.
Lance Izumi, Director of Education Studies at the Pacific Research Institute says, “the latest LAUSD scores on state tests are from 2021-22: 58% of LAUSD students do not meet state English standards and 71% fail to meet state math standards.”
In a recent op ed, Izumi also reported:
“In California, enrollment in regular public schools declined by more than a quarter million students during the pandemic. Because districts receive state funding based on the number of students attending school, fewer students mean fewer tax dollars.”
“Going forward, the enrollment picture for Los Angeles is bleak.”
“It is estimated that enrollment in Los Angeles schools will nosedive by an eyebrow-raising 30 percent over the next decade.”
“The number of LAUSD students will fall from the current 430,000 to 309,000.”
Bilek says, “These men and others, including pharmaceutical companies and the U.S. government, are sending millions of dollars to LGBT causes. Overall reported global spending on LGBT is now estimated at $424 million.”
The transgender lobby and transgender organizations are big business.
But they are experimenting on children, and challenging constitutional protections of parental rights. They’ve done it before. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency paid the University of Southern California and the University of California, Los Angeles to conduct experiments on children, to determine whether exposure to diesel exhaust harms humans, by blowing diesel exhaust up the noses of the children, I reported in 2015.
Democrats in California are now in the business of creating a crisis, then providing perverted and distorted “solutions” in legislation designed to appear to help. However, there are very few things government does well, and California government leads the pack of incompetent governments – which is perhaps why having failed to educate children, LAUSD is expanding into the healthcare business?
The Globe contacted Children’s Hospital LA with questions, but has not heard back. We will report the updates when we do.

Gender reassignment surgery and the drugs involved are very profitable for big hospital systems, surgical centers, doctors and big pharmaceutical companies. The monthly cost of a puberty blocker prescribed to children like Lupron can cost $800 or more. Initial gender reassignment surgeries can cost between $100,000 to $200,000. Maybe Democrats pushing trans legislation like Assemblywoman Lori Wilson and Sen. Scott Wiener are receiving lucrative financial incentives from those who profit by providing “gender affirming care?”
A children’s hospital with a “Transyouth” wing (and apparently all the Frankenstein’s Monster services from A-Z provided) would probably not be the best choice to send your children for their routine or specialized medical care.
So let’s see how this would work….. LAUSD provides the warm bodies 12 years and up and Children’s Hospital L.A. provides what? — convenient prescriptions for birth control, Adderall refills, STD medication, the sketchy HPV vaccine, and directions to the nearest Planned Parenthood for an abortion if needed. And of course being sure to provide all the options for puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgery if the slightest inclination for switching sexes is shown? All on Telehealth in a private room at the local school out of the sight and awareness of parents, further undermining the family and parental rights.
It certainly does look like we are seeing just how AB 665, which hasn’t even yet passed in the legislature, would be implemented.
As Katy Grimes pointed out, “the transgender lobby and transgender organizations are big business.” And I’m sure the money is REALLY good. For all the kingpins, anyway.
Why I went back to the American Red Cross as a regular blood donor, and stopped driving to Hollywood to give blood as Childrens’ Hospital L.A. I won’t associate with child butchers. But that’s just me.
You’re in good company in that decision, Abe, I’m sure.
This is another example of the weaponization of compassion as we already lived through during the clot shot campaign, Climate Change propaganda and the promotion for endless wars, i.e. Ukraine is the latest example.
These so called experts will claim this is compassionate care for children! Children! Let that sink in. They are mutilating C H I L D R E N!
I will not buy into the big lie that there are trans youth and they must be “transitioned “ to be happy and healthy.
If they are so compelled to change their God given bodies then they can wait until 18 or heck 25 when their brains are fully developed. If they cannot drink alcohol until 21, smoke until 21, join the armed services until 18 or own a gun in most states at 18 because then they sure as hell are not old enough to remove their functioning sex organs.
Again, we have a new industrial complex, The Medical Industrial Complex!
This is wrong! The future generations will look back and look at the adults in the room as demented abusers!
I know, CG, I also find myself constantly wanting to say “let that sink in” about what is being done here to CHILDREN. It seems ONE of the reasons the bad guys always want to go too far is that the resulting horror puts people in denial. Most people simply cannot believe what they are seeing.
It is just stunning. Yes, I think this is to desensitize the masses.
I will never be convinced this is compassion and normal.
I say to those who want to deny this is reality, it is being forced upon us and if we do not face it or push back then one day it maybe one of your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, mutilated.
Even the kids are starting to push back as exampled Massachusetts this week, “ my pronouns are USA”
Another young girl has come forward to sue a California hospital. Her breasts were cut off at the age of 13!

Remember the rightful indignation about cultures that do female genital mutilation? And now genital “alteration” of minors is okay?! Here’s the solution: doxx each person who medicinally or surgically alters a minor’s sexuality, so true patriots can take whatever action is needed to remove those abusers from their positions and from their ability to abuse minors.
It makes me so sad to see CHLA go so all in on this. When I was a child in the early 1970s I became very ill and was eventually diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. I had a severe case and was under the care of rheumatologists at CHLA. I was one of many children diagnosed with this disease who lived in the San Joaquin Valley at the time. I was fortunate enough to be part of a group of children who benefited from an inpatient rehabilitation facility newly built in the hospital. The unit was purpose built for JRA patients; we received physical therapy twice a day, occupational therapy once a day and pool therapy once a day among other specific treatments. It was the difference between me being extremely crippled, unable to walk and being able to walk and have a relatively normal life despite all of my joints being damaged quite significantly. I had joint replacement surgeries there, too. Sadly, gender identity disorder isn’t a disease of the body; it’s a disorder of the mind or brain that often resolves on its own. But financial gain, prestige and power have captured the medical establishment and profession, so we’re losing space and money that could be spent on actual diseases to a fad that damages children and enriches dishonest doctors and pharmaceutical companies. When will this insanity come to an end?
Erin, I appreciated your personal story about the good care you received at CHLA very much. This is how we used to think of all children’s hospitals — and who would have thought anything else? —- that they were filled with angels whose sole purpose and focus was to help children overcome — as much as possible — their health difficulties of all kinds. Not only with physical treatment, but with cheering support and kindness, all the more so because the patients were CHILDREN and must be encouraged with extra-special care. How surreal is it that we can no longer do that? What’s more, the evil, money-making transgender factory ensconced now in so many of the nation’s children’s hospitals is obviously horrible enough on its own but as you mentioned it must also mean that much of the good care you describe has been severely cut back; maybe even abandoned? Who now is providing to children the type of good helpful care you once received?
Thank you so much for posting, Erin.
Thanks, ShowandTell. Most people would never know about the good things that happen in Children’s Hospitals unless they knew someone who had received treatment there. I’m sure that care for children living with diseases of the body is being reduced in order to give precious funds and space to this money-making Frankenstein industry at these hospitals. It’s absolutely sickening. I just hope that the rehab unit I was treated in hasn’t been claimed by these unprincipled doctors through hospital administration.
