TRUMP Wins: Election 2024 Results and Commentary

From the earliest returns a few thoughts…

By Katy Grimes and Evan Symon, November 5, 2024 5:29 pm

It is going to be a long night. But…

Oh wait…

11:45pm PST: Donald Trump won and will be the 47th President. And it is said this is the end of Kamala Harris’s political career. (Thankfully)

Donald Trump spoke late Tuesday night and said, “it is time for America’s healing. And it is time to deliver the strong, safe and prosperous America for our children.”

He said he’s at 315 electoral votes… to be updated. And won the popular vote. “Winning the popular vote was very nice,” Trump said.

“We have taken back control of the Senate… Wow,” Trump said. “And it looks like we will be keeping control of the House of Representatives.”

VP elect JD Vance added, “We just witnessed the greater political comeback in American history.”

And here in California:

There’s a new District Attorney in Los Angeles – Nathan Hochman:

12:55Am – Kamala Harris just announced that she is not speaking tonight.

12:50 AM EST – CNN just called Georgia for Trump.

Republicans have now officially won a majority in the United States Senate!

12:01 EST, 9:01 PST, Trump winning Georgia, and EIB radio host Clay Travis said Kamala’s “brain trust” is acknowledging she’s cooked.

Wow – Republicans Flip Governor‘s Mansion in Puerto Rico, Despite Joke Controversy. This is big!

California voters pass Proposition 36, which increases consequences for fentanyl and theft crimes.

David Sacks on X:

US media is bankrupt. This election is evidence.

Elon Musk acknowledges:

There is not a lot to report on at this point on election night… thanks to corrupted media. So for your entertainment, here are a few thoughts and headlines…

  • America Unburdens Itself From What Has Been – Babylon Bee
  • From the earliest returns a few thoughts…

    From Thomas Buckley:

If Trump keeps Virginia within 8 points, even if he loses it will show a national trend that Harris may have problems.

As to the big DC suburbs in Virginia, Harris needs a two-to-one victory there.  These are government workers and they want to keep their jobs.

Indianan, Kentucky, and Florida seem to be trending about the same as they did in both 2016 and 2020 – Trump has already been called the winner in two of them.

As for Georgia, watch carefully – Atlanta, like most big cities across the country for whatever reason tend to report results if ever…lol – Trump needs to take at least 55% outside of the metroplex, in which all of us have changed planes.

That number is needed for Trump to make sure that Atlanta doesn’t do what happened last time.

  • From Evan Symon:
  • Trump is overperforming on Latino voters and younger voters across the board. Harris has some strength left, but Trump just took over some college heavy counties he didn’t get in 2016 or 2020.

  1. Thank God it’s the end of the California progressive’s influence on national policy. And Newsom is looking pretty lonely. Maybe he regrets defending Biden for so long, like claiming Biden ran a “master class on the presidency” because it gained him nothing. Harris shoved him aside for the nomination but in defeat made sure the progressive policies she (and Newsom) stood for are no longer viable in American politics.

Our long national nightmare is at an end.

  2. “Our long national nightmare is at an end.”

Hopefully this is true, Rod. But after watching the CNN, MSNBC people after the election was called for Trump/Vance I am not so sure that it will. One idiot on MSNBC (the guy with the dark rimmed glasses) was calling for another impeachment if Democrats retake the House. There will have to be a realization of their TDS on the part of Democrats and their Media. Kamala Harris could provide some redemption depending on what she says today…..Will she concede in a way that brings the nation together or will she stoke the division? We shall see.

  3. Hopefully President Trump will focus on national election integrity, voter roll cleanups, and removal of Dominion and other electronic algorithm applying voting machines….

    1. Yes, imo he will do that CriticalDfence9. When he spoke to reporters after voting himself on election day he talked about election integrity. He pointed out that electronic voting actually takes more time not less, and that paper ballots (watermarked) are actually more secure with voter ID. But, the cleanup of the election process will take years imo because each state, controls the process. I think it can be done in stages. The first stage would be to make all federal elections paper only with voter ID. The local elections can still be electronic if that’s what the state/county authorities want. Then, eventually, it can all be by paper only.

  4. “Winning the popular vote was very nice,” Trump said. (!!!)
No kidding! Otherwise we would be listening to the usual suspects blah blah blah-ing about it 24/7 from now until we’re all dead. Right?
So at least we are spared THAT nonsense. Unless of course they do it anyway.
