Gov. Newsom’s Free Healthcare for Illegal Immigrants Drove Medi-Cal to Insolvency
Newsom blew $23 Billion in two years bankrupting Medi-Cal

That California Governor Gavin Newsom wants to continue to give free healthcare to illegal immigrants is not rumor. The Globe has covered this saga for some time now.
Gavin Newsom’s Medi-Cal program for low-income Californians is insolvent. We have Gavin Newsom to thank; he gifted free Medi-Cal coverage to every illegal immigrant in the state, costing taxpayers $23 billion over 2 years, forcing Newsom to get both an emergency loan and a bailout, Rep. Kevin Kiley just confirmed.
Back in June, we reported Newsom was bankrupting Medi-Cal (California’s version of Medicaid). He then announced he planned to cut Medi-Cal to any poor or disabled elderly Californian who has $2,000 in “assets.”
However, in California, rental homes are very expensive, requiring renters to have enough on hand to cover future rent down payments, as well as emergency expenses and medical expenses not covered by Medi-Cal.
The average rent in San Francisco is $3,495. per month.
The average rent in Los Angeles is around $2,748 per month. A 2-bedroom apartment is $2,856 per month. Houses for rent in Los Angeles are significantly more expensive at $4,925 per month on average.
The average rent in San Diego is $3,063. per month.
The numbers we had at the time said Newsom had already cost taxpayers $10 billion to $12 billion.
Rep. Kiley says it’s $23 Billion and noted that not one of the other 49 states covers illegal aliens on Medicaid plans. California and Gov. Newsom are the lone wolf on this boondoggle.
We reported in March that Newsom confessed that California’s Medi-Cal is insolvent. As California Congressman Kevin Kiley noted, “the cost of Newsom’s policy of giving free coverage to every illegal immigrant in the state has ballooned to $9.5 billion, and he’s now asked for a $3.4 billion “loan” just to continue making payments for this month.”
Newsom needs to borrow $3.44 Billion to cover the massive shortfall in Medi-Cal, California’s version of Medicaid, free to low-cost health coverage for low-income individuals and families, “regardless of their immigration status.”
Gov. Newsom expanded Medi-Cal to cover all illegal aliens. The bills are coming due and Newsom is overdrawn – with no checks left.
This has made it extremely difficult for legal California residents on Medi-Cal to get the medical care they need, with illegal immigrants flooding the system.
Newsom originally estimated that full Medi-Cal coverage for illegal aliens would cost $3.1 billion.
But now the first year of Medi-Cal coverage exploded to $9.5 billion.
Rep. Kiley said Republicans in the House are taking measures to make sure that California taxpayers are not on the hook for Medi-Cal medical coverage for people in the state illegally. Kiley said at just $9.5 billion the first year of coverage for illegal aliens, over the years would balloon. And that money should be only used to cover legal California residents.
Kiley vowed to do everything he can to protect the program against Gov. Newsom’s reckless policy.

What Newsom has done here is so mind-boggling in its cruelty and actually murderous intent toward California’s elders and other LEGAL citizens who are entitled to and who must have the protection of Medi-Cal coverage is almost impossible to take in or process. Meanwhile he blithely hands out billions and billions of dollars for full-on MediCal coverage for CA illegal aliens. (!!!) And ONLY CALIFORNIA is doing this. Think of it, Newsom is bankrupting the state AND sucking endless cash out of Wash DC with this insanity, without a thought or a regret, in fact he wants to keep it going. Meanwhile it’s destroying us, it can’t go on, and the guy is so delusional he thinks this helps him run for PRESIDENT! Stunning.
California taxpayers shouldn’t be on the hook for the billions of dollars that Hair-gel Hitler Newsom spent on providing Medi-Cal medical coverage to their hordes of illegal aliens that have become their main voting base. Hopefully Rep. Kiley and House Republicans can make sure that California taxpayers aren’t on the hook for Newsom’s criminality. Newsom needs to be held accountable for his criminality.
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz warned that “States have a duty to uphold the law and protect taxpayer funds. We are putting them on notice—CMS will not allow federal dollars to be diverted to cover those who are not lawfully eligible.”
So, while checking out at the grocery store , I learned that medi-Cal is paying chefs to go to the homes of diabetics and cook for them while also teaching them how to prepare their own healthy meals. But only for 2-3 months. He was one of the chefs employed with this program.
Wow, Mary, it sounds like you’re “joking,” but you’re not, are you. This is a luxury program — not unlike, and it reminds me of —- putting up the vagrants in famous 5-star hotels during the first blush of unnecessary Covid hysteria. Replete with room service, maid service, and on-site delivery of needed drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes. It’s completely bizarre but of course the Dem politicians and politically-connected non-profits in CA are always looking to reward their friends and others who benefit from this stuff.
Can’t get a regular job as a chef either because you’re no good at it even after the fancy, expensive culinary education or maybe because Covid fake hysteria and the subsequent shutdown/lockdown and its fallout tentacles made customers disappear and made chefs unnecessary? Here’s your lifesaver: Handouts from CA Dem politicians who act as though our money is theirs and don’t give a crap how much of it they waste. To the point that a house-calling CHEF is being paid by the state under Medi-Cal —- which as noted is meant only for needy CA CITIZENS —- for a luxury job. Really, it’s unbelievable.
I believe that the Guber will someday, be compelled to sit in a chair and respond to detailed questions regarding his role as a sanctuary racketeer. I believe that day is coming sooner than expected.

Congress must subpoena Newsom and have him testify about the MediCal program which he expanded to cover illegals. Through bookkeeping tricks and non- reporting, the federal government pays 70% of the emergency room costs for illegals, violating federal laws.

We hired a lady for some help us how she gets free healthcare from the state, they help pay for her housing and they give her food. What she said about the food is that it’s all organic, all the milk is the most expensive milk you can find, but everything is organic because the illegals don’t like to buy the junk!
Don’t forget the Governor Newsom also did not pay back payroll benefit that the federal government had provided as such in California everybody’s payroll. Who’s an employer the taxes doubling every year until it’s paid back! These people talk about fascist and authoritarian apparently their mirrors are just windows because they keep looking outside!
I agree this must stop, I believe we stop paying all taxes and let the whoRes do what they can with cutting the budgets in the deficits. Same thing with the federal government you don’t need another 2 trillion to be giving more billions to Israel! You don’t need to rebuild Gaza it’s not our responsibility.
In addition, I think it should become a rule, not only at the federal level, but at the state level. If there is not a balance budget on an annual basis, the people that are in office lose their pay for the year. They don’t receive backpay they lose their pay. People like new some subsidize this with all the free money they received and all their wine and vineyards and everything else. I hate to say it, but just like Trump they should have absolutely no assets.

I do have concerns about the expansion of the mRNA program. I think they are intended to shorten a life span not extend it.

Thanks Katy. Big picture. Insult, demoralize the commoners. Just yesterday I got a letter from our healthcare insurance co. that they have pulled out of Placer County. Two years in a row, now. Last year it was United. This year it’s Aetna. We’re on Medicare which is on thin ice.
Did you know if you go to AI.gov it’s the White House? So, it’s a strong possibility that AI – creep is the villain in healthcare insurance calamities. I found a YouTube channel that is Future Healthcare or something which I need to watch.
