The California Legislature is scheduled to adjourn its 2022 Legislative Session likely around midnight on Wednesday, August 31. The following is a quick look at some of the highlights as the Session winds down next week:

How Many Measures Are Left this Final Week?

The following is a snapshot of remaining measures as of August 26:

The Senate has about 340 measures remaining in its committees and on its Floor. The Assembly has about 210 measures remaining in its committees and on its Floor. The Senate has just over 70 more ABs on its Floor than the Assembly has of SBs on its Floor.

Both the Assembly and Senate will be conducting policy committee hearings next week. In the Assembly, there are 7 hearings being held on Monday, with 3 more hearings being held on Tuesday. In the Senate, there are 9 hearings being held on Monday.
