California Globe contributor Chris Micheli recently published an article over at Fox and Hounds on bills that had been vetoed by Governor Jerry Brown over the past few years but signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom, or bills Brown vetoed that were also vetoed by Newsom.
With the help of all the Assembly and Senate policy committee consultants, as well as the Assembly and Senate Republican Caucus consultants, Micheli said their collective research found 66 bills (45 ABs and 21 SBs) that Governor Newsom signed after Governor Brown had vetoed earlier versions, while 22 bills (15 ABs and 7 SBs) were vetoed by both governors.
The following chart sets forth the bills they found, with the double-vetoes in italics. This is updated from the Fox & Hounds Daily article published October 21, 2019 with additional bills:
When Brown Vetoed but Newsom Signed- California’s Right Turn Signal - May 24, 2022
- Chesa Boudin Must Go - May 23, 2022
- EXCLUSIVE: Newsom Bolting for Costa Rica - March 30, 2022
Prima facie evidence why this joker should be recalled IMMEDIATELY….
He’s worse than Gray Davis!!! Recall Newsom now!!!
