California Democrats Refuse to Pass Gas Tax Relief
AB 1638 would have saved Californians 51 cents a gallon for about 6 months

Democrats in the California Legislature refused to pass AB 1638 by Assemblyman Kevin Kiley (R-Granite Bay) which would have suspended the state’s gas tax to provide immediate relief Californians. If passed, it would have saved Californians 51 cents a gallon for about 6 months.

AAA reports the national average for a gallon of gas is $4.316, and California’s average is $5.750. gas in Mono County costs $6.501 per gallon, and Napa County is $5.947.
“Today the Republican and Independent Members of the Assembly voted to save Californians 51 cents per gallon by suspending the gas tax,” Kiley said following the vote. “In addition, 18 members abstained from the vote. Unfortunately, the Supermajority rounded up enough votes to deny struggling Californians this modest measure of relief.”
When asked on Monday about the Republican idea to temporarily halt the whole gas tax, Erin Mellon, Newsom’s communications director wrote, “the Republican’s proposal can be manipulated to help line the pockets of petro-dictators and oil companies who are benefiting from the spike in oil prices across the world. The governor has proposed a tax rebate to provide billions in direct relief to Californians who are suffering from rising gas prices across the country, a direct result of [Russia’s President Vladimir Putin’s] war,” ABC7 reported.
“We have a $65 billion surplus here in California, so we can backfill that money,” said Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher.
Kiley added, “Our state’s political leadership has never been so out of touch.”
California drivers are still faciing the switch to the summer blend gas, a higher-grade fuel which can add up to 15 cents per gallon to the cost of a fill-up, and lowers your gas mileage. Most Californians already know that for every tank of gas, $10 of the total cost is state-imposed gas taxes, thanks to Senate Bill 1, signed into law by then Gov. Jerry Brown in 2017, which increased the gas tax by 12 cents per gallon, and increased automobile registration fees by more than $175, the Globe reported.

This just shows that the Democraps and Governor Climate Change don’t give a rat’s @$$ about the common citizen that they claim to care so much about. Time for a change?
I disagree. It is not that they don’t care, they HATE people and want to punish them at every turn. The Great Reset is about eliminating 90% of the worlds population. Think about it and you will understand everything they do.
I hope people seek out answers, as to why they will not suspend the tax.
Also ask yourself have the taxes been used to maintain our roads or are they used for special projects like Vision Zero and a train to no where.
The nudge to push people into electric cars has now become a sledgehammer. I am just not sure if people are ready to accept how corrupt our government at the federal level and state level really are. They do not serve the American citizen but they do serve the global elite that will move us to the next crisis.
For all the bemoaning of President Trump’s personality, please remember we were on the way to energy independence. With a swipe of a pen and a new agenda our gas prices will be even higher, which leads to higher prices for food and services.
Vote differently to save this state and country.

Suspending the gas tax would benefit everyone; they can’t have that. Instead, they’ll collect the tax money from all of us, but give back money only to the ones the choose: democrats. This is how they “game” the system in their favor, and why we’re a one-party state. How do we break this cycle?
People need ‘immediate’ relief from gas prices, which started increasing, (and continue increase) on Biden’s Day 1, with shutdown of Keystone pipeline, so the Putin narrative doesn’t fly. So now, instead of just stealing catalytic converters at $1,000 per pop, thieves are targeting your fuel, drilling your tank ($1,000+ replacement) that can’t be repaired. And worse yet, Newsom’s hell-bent on making California ‘dangerous’ for the most vulnerable. Although the majority of Californians prefer the pause on the tax, Diktator Newsom has decreed a ‘Rebate’ which most likely will be distributed at midterms, or skimmed for his own purposes.
“Green Deal” is anything but…. 500,000 tons of ground displaced for a single battery; 500,000 gal water to mine it; 23,000 gals of water to put your car-fire out, and hours of man-power to do it.
California leads the nation in Eagle deaths with wind turbines, who’s blades cannot be recycled. It takes oil to produce everything ‘Green’, and it is by far a ‘Dirtier’ source of energy. Newsom’s puppet masters have a plan and it’s not to our benefit, so the only forthcoming options are: vote him out, or his conviction for Treason, and Crimes against humanity.
Newsom hates the comparison to Florida, but for us, it amplifies the level of corruption and control that keeps California from it’s vitality, and ability to thrive, like this:
