Legacy Media is Trying to ‘Kavanaugh’ Pete Hegseth
They cover for losers and tear down winners

The leftists in American media are trying to “Kavanaugh” Pete Hegseth, nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to be Secretary of Defense.
Stories of a sexual assault have now surfaced about a regrettable alcohol-infused night Hegseth had in Monterey in 2017 after speaking to a group of Republican women. Retiring to the hotel bar with a group of attendees, reports say Hegseth was visibly drunk.
The Washington Post reported:
Pete Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for secretary of defense, paid a woman who accused him of sexual assault as part of a nondisclosure agreement, though he maintained that their encounter was consensual, according to a statement from his lawyer Saturday and other documents obtained by The Post.
Hegseth’s attorney, Timothy Parlatore, said that Hegseth was “visibly intoxicated” at the time of the incident, and maintained that police who were contacted a few days after the encounter by the woman concluded that “the Complainant had been the aggressor in the encounter.” Police have not confirmed that assertion.
According to Hegseth’s lawyer, once the two were in his hotel room, the woman did not leave and was “the aggressor in initiating sexual activity.”
Hegseth agreed to pay an undisclosed amount to the woman because he feared that revelation of the matter “would result in his immediate termination from Fox,” where he worked as a host, the statement said.
No charges were filed. Let that sink in. Yet the legacy media is running away with this story, desperate to tear Hegseth apart because he is everything they are not with Ivy League degrees and is an accomplished warrior determined to flush DEI and the woke agenda out of the military to return the focus to the mission, task and purpose.
So, there was a payout to the woman and a nondisclosure agreement so he wouldn’t jeopardize his job at Fox News.
This was during the height of the “me too” craze where many famous men across the country were “me too’d,” for everything from “unwanted” flirtations to Harvey Weinstein-level accusations of sexual assault, true or not.
However, fueled by the legacy media, it felt more like the Salem Witch Trials than an actual US epidemic of sexual assault. Men lost their jobs and were shamed in public with seemingly unending legacy media stories.
“Believe all women” became the battle cry, but many women were just being opportunistic shakedown artists, many even lying.
Granted, some of the men exposed were pigs and rapists, drunk on their own power, fat paychecks and high profile positions in media, the movies, and politics. Some received cover from employers for years, including in the California Legislature.
Our own United States Vice President Kamala Harris covered for one of her staffers when she was California Attorney General, who had worked with her since she was San Francisco District Attorney — after she grilled Brett Kavanaugh as though he was Jack-the-Ripper during his Senate conformation hearing for the Supreme Court, over 40-year false charges by Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who claimed Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in high school.
I reported:
“Larry Wallace, a senior staffer for Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) reportedly resigned on Wednesday [in 2018] over the discovery he was involved in a sexual harassment lawsuit and $400,000 payout to the victim while working for then California Attorney General Kamala Harris. And Kamala Harris claims to know nothing of this. Sen. Harris’s spokeswoman claims Harris has no knowledge of allegations of sexual harassment against her top aid–a guy she has worked with since the mid 2000s. Despite her leadership roles, Harris has a long history of knowing nothing and blaming others.”
Media propagandists and politicians on the left love to go into full attack mode on Republicans when they dig up any hint of a transgression, yet they celebrate the transgressions on their side, or if bad enough, will just ignore them, as they did with the Biden family and the Clinton family. The Obamas have skated on bizarre events – the dead chef in Martha’s Vineyard… where is the media on that story? Media buried the dead chef so fast, it’s as if it never happened.
Stories about Joe Biden as Vice President swimming naked in front of female Secret Service agents were exposed in the 2014 book The First Family Detail by former Washington Post journalist Ronald Kessler, even as it was obvious he was planning on running for President.
The Atlantic wrote about this in an article titled, In Defense of Naked Joe Biden. POLITICO reported, The skinny on Biden dipping. The Washington Post reported Joe Biden, just a regular guy who goes skinny dipping.
“Joe is just a regular guy” who sniffs hair, nibbles on small children and swims naked in front of his security detail. Swimming naked in front of subordinates is an aggressive act of power and control. And it is vile behavior. Where was Dr. Jill?
Remember the reporting on President Joe Biden’s cabinet picks? NBC reported, “Biden administration on track to be most LGBTQ-inclusive in U.S. history!“
The BBC was giddy with joy over Biden’s “most diverse” cabinet:
Of Biden’s 15 cabinet secretary picks, only five are straight, white men. That’s the lowest percentage of any presidency. (Donald Trump, by contrast, had 11; Bill Clinton, the previous record-holder, had six out of 14.)
Biden’s cabinet has a number of firsts, as well. Janet Yellen is the first woman Treasury secretary. Interior Secretary Deb Haaland is the first Native American woman to lead a department.
Pete Buttigieg became the first openly LGBT cabinet secretary. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin is the first black person to head the Pentagon. Xavier Becerra and Alejandro Mayorkas are the first Hispanic chiefs of Health and Human Services and Homeland Security, respectively.
What is legacy media saying about Donald Trump’s cabinet choices so far?
NBC: Trump’s Cabinet selection is off to a rocky start.
Chuck Todd: Trump’s Cabinet picks useful ‘to seek revenge and burn the place down’
BBC: Trump cabinet nominees battle misconduct claims and controversy.
ABC: Trump’s Cabinet picks boast thin resumes. That’s the point …
CNN: Trump doubles down on provocative Cabinet picks as their fates …
When the Biden administration started naming cabinet choices in 2021, it appeared to be a veritable circus tent of firsts: Rachel Levine, the first trans Assistant Secretary of Health, who was born a man and married with children until he transitioned; Sam Brinton, a mustached, makeup and dress-wearing nuclear official, arrested for stealing a woman’s suitcase in a Minneapolis airport – and then wearing the designer clothes, before claiming it was taken by accident; war hawk Secretary of State Antony Blinken who cares more about Ukraine’s borders than our own open Southern Border; Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen who botched her job so badly, she claimed inflation was “transitory” causing the worst inflation the US experienced in 40 years, and then blamed it on consumer spending; Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin who should have been sent into retirement after allowing the disastrous US pullout from Afghanistan; or the contemptible and bitter Attorney General Merrick Garland who facilitated four years of government law fare against former president Donald Trump.
Biden’s cabinet choices are caricatures of actual people, or so deeply convicted in Marxist ideology they are dangerous, and we have the past four years proving it.
Pete Hegseth may or may not make it through the confirmation process. I think he will prevail because he is real, his accomplishments are real, and he is not a caricature. And his accuser, who attempted a legal shakedown two and a half years after the 2017 incident, will go down in history similarly to Christine Blasey Ford.
The propagandist legacy media beclowned itself during the 2024 Presidential Election, and obviously hasn’t learned a thing: they cover for losers and tear down winners, and seem to delight in destroying anyone on the right.

Lol trying to blame the Left so sad. It was a Republican woman who he allegedly sexually assaulted and friends of Hegeseth have attested that it probably did occur.
It was a consensual encounter and no charges were ever filed but yet the leftist propaganda legacy media which is mostly controlled by the criminal Democrat cabal are desperately trying to make a big deal about it. It’s a big yawn for most people who increasingly have stopped listening to such boring nonsense.
No matter what the circumstances are surrounding this incident it shows a poor lapse in judgement. I am more interested in knowing if Mr. Hegseth has grown from this incident and won’t get involved in any “honey taps” in the future. Our nations advisories are always looking for ways to compromise our leaders. We need to know that our next Secretary of Defense will not get entrapped in a bunch of nonsense.
@Hal, Hegseth was pursued to his room by a married cougar looking for a one night stand with a hunk. If you want to talk about “poor judgement” let’s talk about SecDef Lloyed Austin who went into prostate surgery without notifying chain of command. Hegseth will be confirmed….no problem. Media loves this story because sex sells…click bait. Matt Gaetz has my respect for not giving the Dems and their media a Kavanaugh-like circus.
I agree that he was pursed. My contention is that if confirmed to the position that he will most likely be pursued again. America needs to know that in the future that he will set aside personal gratification and maintain discipline. Austin is and has been a joke. I could have supported Gaetz although I like the Bondi choice better. Unfortunately, there is baggage surrounding Gaetz that will have to work its way out. Now and with this position is not the time to work it out.
Trump’s largest financial supporter namely Miriam Adleson is strongly opposed to conservative Christians being appointed to critical posts.
Hegseth will go the way Gaetz.
why wouldn’t they try shitcanning Hegseth? it worked on Gaetz.
