Sen. Scott Wiener Calls Elon Musk ‘Bigot’ and ‘Conspiracy Theorist’

Wiener fundraising on his ‘fight’ for LGBTQ trans kids

California State Senator Scott Wiener is a victim. Poor Scott. He says he is being “attacked” by Elon Musk, whom he calls a “bigot.”

Senator Scott Wiener proclaims that he is “protecting LGBTQ youth’s civil rights.”

Last week Senator Wiener said “Saturday morning I woke up to a vicious, homophobic personal attack against me from Elon Musk — he called me a ‘pedophile-apologist’ and described our legislation protecting the safety of LGBTQ youth as ‘a child predator’s dream.'”

“Musk is a bigot and conspiracy theorist,” Wiener said.

A few days before that Sen. Wiener said, “Elon Musk just attacked me by name on X — calling me a ‘pedophile-apologist’ and describing our anti-forced outing legislation ‘a child predators dream.'”

Wiener’s statements are from his fundraising emails – some are his own fundraising memos, others are for Joe Biden or Kamala Harris.

Why might Musk be saying these things about Senator Wiener?

California is slated to become Gov. Gavin Newsom’s and Senator Scott Wiener’s gender transition and trans sanctuary state following Newsom’s recent signature on Assembly Bill 1955 by Assemblyman Chris Ward (D-San Diego). The bill prohibits schools and school employees from notifying parents if their child is “gender confused” or “transitioning” to the opposite sex while at school. Horrifyingly, the bill’s title is “Support Academic Futures and Educators for Today’s Youth Act.”

As the Globe told Rebecca Friedrichs recently as she guest-hosted the Tamara Scott show, Assemblyman Ward’s rationale for authoring AB 1955 was so trans kids would not be “outed” by teachers at school. Ward and Sen. Wiener conflate gay kids with trans kids as if they are one-in-the-same.

According to Sen. Wiener, AB 1955 “prevents school districts from mandating that teachers out transgender students to their parents – whether or not the kid is ready to come out and whether or not outing the kid will result in physical violence or the kid becoming homeless.”

That’s a stretch and a dangerous manipulation and threat. Wiener also claims that trans persons are victims of  “deadly LGBTQ criminalization,” and declared that there is an ongoing “war” against trans people.

In a recent interview with Jordan Peterson, Musk tells him that one of his own sons was manipulated into gender transition. The son received puberty blocking sterilization drugs, prior to age of consent. Musk admits that he was also manipulated and tricked into signing the approval documents after being threatened that if he did not his son would commit suicide. So these dangerous bills are personal with Elon Musk.

As the Globe recently reported:

In 2023, Musk had an odd year with the state of California, as he had moved his AI division back to Palo Alto from Texaswhile also hinting again of X moving out of California. However, in 2024, Musk went forward with even more cutting of ties with California. In April, over 3,000 Tesla employees were fired in California, with CalSTRS fighting back last month by voting against Musk’s $50 billion compensation package. Undeterred, X last week announced that they would be leasing their San Francisco HQ building, pointing at an imminent move.

Those fears came true on Tuesday when Musk announced that Space X would be leaving Hawthorne for Starbase, Texas, and X would be moving to Austin. Musk said that the ‘final straw’ for the move came on Monday when Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law a bill that bars school districts from informing parents of their gender identification change.

“I did make it clear to Governor Newsom about a year ago that laws of this nature would force families and companies to leave California to protect their children,” said Musk on X on in early July. “This is the final straw. Because of this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies, SpaceX will now move its HQ from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas.”

Governor Newsom responded: “You bent the knee.”

Musk responded to Newsom: “You never get off your knees.”

Here is Senator Wiener’s latest missive:

Katy,

Scott asked that I share some news and ask for your continued support in light of the most recent attacks by Elon Musk.

Elon Musk is so upset that Scott and the Legislature have protected LGBTQ youth’s civil rights that just days ago he announced that he is moving SpaceX from California to Texas.

This isn’t the first time Elon has said he would quit California – last time, he ended up EXPANDING Tesla in California. But by tying the move to an LGBTQ civil rights law, the richest man in the world is sending a dangerous message about how far he’s willing to go to hold back our rights.

Bigots like Elon have come for Scott before – Marjorie Taylor Greene, Ted Cruz, Tucker Carlson have all attacked him for his work on civil rights, but this is a high profile attack that we cannot let go unanswered.

Our fight for civil rights and the safety of all Californians, especially vulnerable LGBTQ youth, is too important.

Scott has always been a tireless advocate for LGBTQ safety and dignity – and he’s going to continue to stand up to those who would use their power to undermine our progress, the way Elon Musk is trying to by (supposedly) moving his entire operation out of state.

See? In Scott’s egocentric mind, he is being victimized by “bigot” Elon Musk. Scott wants you to know that he is just a selfless “tireless advocate” for LGBTQ youth – and just ignore their pesky parents. So please send in a campaign contribution.

I addressed this on X/Twitter recently:

In 2023 Sen. Wiener Proposed Offering ‘Drag Queen 101 as Part of the K-12 Curriculum’. Or Sen. Wiener’s SB145 that allows a 24 year old to have sex with a 14 year old and escape a felony conviction and requirement to be a registered sex offender. @elonmusk is no bigot for pointing out how AB 1955 is a sex offender’s dream. He’s right. And he’s a parent, which Sen. Wiener is not. Hiding a gender-confused kid at school away from parents is removing the child’s only real protection, and exposing him to sex predators.

Sen. Wiener and Democrats have passed far too many bills removing protections for children from adults sexually attracted to young children, or from adults who obtusely believe teachers and counselors know better for those children than parents.

Elon Musk called out Sen. Wiener and Gavin Newsom for their dangerous and evil laws.

  1. I see nothing inaccurate in Elon’s post. “Or kids will become homeless/suffer abuse/commit suicide” is not working as a cover for huge medical profiteering and child abuse enabled by this law.

And the rest of our country is horrified by California politicians. Will Kamala defend this, too?

  2. Oh boo hoo hoo hoo HOO. Imagine Sen Scott Wiener trying to get SYMPATHY for this. He’s a victim! Oh, brother. Cry me a river.
And by the way, Elon Musk didn’t call you a “pedophile,” although for all I know you may well be one. Instead he called you a “pedophile-apologist,” which is exactly what you are, DUH. Also I’m not always in the Marjorie Taylor Greene cheering section but have to give her major points for accuracy for calling you a “communist-groomer.” Which is also what you are.
Sen Wiener is the bigot. He is bigoted against normal decent people and normal decent parents, and more. He looks at everything upside-down and backwards. He is the one who is full of hate if you look at his record. But apparently a lot of people who support him LIKE that about him. And will probably respond to his attempt to fundraise off of this hellish stuff, as Katy Grimes shows us above in the fundraising email his people sent out.
Look at all the damage this Scott Wiener has done. An endless list. Some of it summed up in Katy Grimes tweet. And he intends to do more. AB 1955, as vile and awful as it is, is probably not even the icing on Scott Wiener’s cake. Count on it.

  3. No one is buying Democrat Senator Scott Wiener the Harvard trained lawyer who looks like he climbed out of a crypt is a victim. If anything, his extreme obsession with vulnerable youth is beyond creepy and predatory. No doubt he trolls Folsom Street shirtless and wearing a leather vest hoping to lure vulnerable youth? Would anyone be surprised if he doesn’t have a dungeon in his home were all sorts of perversion is carried out?

    1. This a battle between good and evil? Italian Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, the former papal nuncio to the United States who was excommunicated three weeks ago for “his refusal to recognize and submit to the Supreme Pontiff,” summed it up perfectly when he said that “Satan makes nothing: only he ruins everything. He does not invent: he tampers. And his followers are no different: they humiliate woman’s femininity in order to erase the motherhood that recalls the Virgin Mother; they castrate man’s manhood in order to tear from the image of God’s fatherhood; they corrupt the little ones in order to kill in them and make them victims of the most abject wokeism.”

      1. Speaking of vulnerable youth (foster kids) wanted to post again my favorite endocrinologist, Dr. Michael Laidlaw, one of the very few brave souls willing to testify on the floor of the legislature on the subject of what is really going on with “gender-affirming care,” in this case what would be the result of AB 2119 (and since then other subsequent bills), which was authored by Sen Todd Gloria (now San Diego Mayor) and his tag-team partner Sen Scott Wiener as “principal co-author.”
It seemed clear to me that AB 2119 sought to exploit vulnerable foster youth —- who for the most part have no one in their lives willing to fight tooth and nail for them as parents would —- by essentially funneling “gender-confused” individuals to surgical and hormonal “solutions” even though the data shows that most grow out of their confusion. Author Todd Gloria did not frame it this way of course. AB 2119 was passed by the legislature in 2018 and signed by then Gov Jerry Brown.
Note how his blunt, difficult-to-hear, but truthful testimony is dismissed and ignored by the Dem “Chair” and then-Sen Hannah-Beth Jackson, as she recruits Todd Gloria to emote on behalf of the bill.

  4. Sorry to state the obvious, but It’s well past time to permanently vote Scott Weiner out of politics.

    1. Sen Scott Wiener actually has a challenger on the November ballot who looks like a great candidate, Yvette Corkrean. Maybe this will be Senate District 11’s year, who knows?
Check out her information at Ballotpedia and see for yourself. Voters in District 11 could do a lot worse, don’t you think? And they have thus far, in keeping Scott Wiener as their rep all this time.
Consider supporting Yvette Corkrean for State Senate, District 11.
