Adding Insult to Injury: Biden White House Does NOT Ask the Globe to be Anti-Impeachment
Staffer asks media to ‘ramp up its scrutiny of House Republicans for opening an impeachment inquiry based on lies’

Neither the California Globe, its estimable editor Katy Grimes, nor its brilliant correspondent (yours truly) received a letter from Joe Biden’s White House telling us how to cover his upcoming impeachment inquiry.
We – both the plural and the royal – are not amused.
In fact, we are rather insulted that Biden’s communications team flatly ignored the fastest-growing Sacramento-based California politics-based planet-named website.
Apparently, White House staffer Ian Sams sent out such a letter (quite probably today) to the folks at CNN, the New York Times, the Associated Press, Fox News, and other media organizations (don’t know about the Los Angeles Times, though I am not sure they would waste the stamp) asking/demanding that the upcoming impeachment be covered in a positive way – positive for Biden, that is.
According to the Daily Mail and a zillion other news services, Sams asks that the media to “ramp up its scrutiny of House Republicans for opening an impeachment inquiry based on lies.”
Sams goes on to insist the story be covered in a different way than normal because Republicans are evil, or at least “every day liars and hucksters” who “peddle disinformation and lies everywhere from Facebook to Fox” (sorry the Fifth Circuit federal court took your leverage over social media away from you at such a crucial time, Ian, but thems the breaks.)
“Covering impeachment as a process story – Republicans say X, but the White House says Y – is a disservice to the American public who relies on the independent press to hold those in power accountable… (and) ‘process stories that fail to unpack the illegitimacy of the claims on which House Republicans are basing all their actions only serve to generate confusion, put false premises in people’s feeds, and obscure the truth.”
Sams adds that there is not really a story here anyway because “House Republicans have been investigating the President for nine months, and they’ve turned up no evidence of wrongdoing,”
So there.
What Sams left out of his – probably on purpose, the scoundrel! – letter is that various and sundry House committees have turned up pretty compelling evidence that something is not quite kosher with the Biden family finances.
Yesterday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Bakersfield) announced the formation of an impeachment inquiry committee to delve a bit further into the Byzantine financial structures the Bidens live off of. These include numerous shell companies, joint accounts, more than 150 “flagged” transfers and other banking activities, and Hunter Biden in the Ukraine and Joe bouncing the guy investigating Hunter in the Ukraine and the president’s brother mooching for decades and paying each other’s bills and Hunter and China and Biden lying about how he knew nothing and Hunter, who is probably one of the very few crackheads who is also the primary source of the family’s income.
This guy, for example, is most likely not the primary source of his family’s income:
In a nutshell, what the Democrats are worried about is that Joe Biden and his family really do have waaaaay more money than they could get legitimately, or as one Texas Congressman noted (at the 44 second mark):
Our question, though, is why NOT us? Maybe, just maybe, there is a Gavin Newsom connection…
The Globe has – very, extremely, absolutely deservedly – not been kind to his Gelness and that could be just alright with the Biden White House. Newsom’s lurker presidential campaign is touching many a DC nerve, specifically one that tends not to make very much sense at times – Kamala Harris who, as veep, should have the inside track if and when Biden goes away, for whatever reason .
If we keep covering Newsom as he should be covered, then that could help Harris fend him off when, again, Biden rides off with the dog-faced pony soldier.
But does that mean we’re seen by the White House as helping Kamala?!
Shudder.
Anyway, we at the Globe – like every kid in college right now – demand to be told how to write, how to think, how to act, and what to do.
It’s only equitable.

Lunch Bucket Joe will take care of these Republicans just like he took care of Cornpop! And Cornpop was a bad dude!
Since the Biden administration has “never made a mistake” (like Afghanistan, the border, the economy, Ukraine, attempting to jail its leading political opponent) Biden must have listened to Hunter -“the smartest man I know” when deciding not to contact the Globe.
But implicit in our government contacting the media is a threat- what if the press is not compliant? The government has the power to shut any outlet down.
