Another CA Political Hypocrite: San Francisco Mayor London Breed Dined at the French Laundry During Lockdown
What’s with California politicians who don’t adhere to their own policies?

Stay home. Close your business. Avoid family and friends. Keep your kids home. No socializing. Wear a mask at all times.
Those are orders from California’s political class to the state’s residents. And keep your “non-essential” business closed.
It turns out that hypocrisy among California’s elected ruling class is standard fare. Following Gov. Gavin Newsom getting caught recently dining in Napa Valley at a large dinner party at the French Laundry, violating his own COVID stay-at-home orders, San Francisco Mayor London apparently Breed followed right behind him.
London Breed also dined at the French Laundry, but it was the night after Newsom’s infamous, ill-advised, mid-pandemic soiree at the three-star Michelin restaurant in Yountville, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
It’s obvious that politicians don’t live in fear of the coronavirus, so why should anyone else?
Breed’s spokesman tried to characterize the dinner as a “small family birthday dinner,” except it wasn’t. And even if it was, it was still a violation of her own COVID lockdown orders.
“Breed took a few days off after election day and joined seven others the night of Nov. 7 to celebrate socialite Gorretti Lo Lui’s 60th birthday, Breed’s spokesman Jeff Cretan confirmed. The party of eight dined in the same kind of partially enclosed room with a ceiling and chandelier as Newsom did — making it more of an indoor dining experience than an outdoor one.”
The irony is rich. After NBC Bay Area made a big deal out of San Francisco Mayor Breed spending Thanksgiving alone at home, it’s particularly interesting that Breed, whose city is losing businesses and households ad infinitum, also dined at The French Laundry with “important” people.
As the Chronicle reports, “The dinner would have certainly violated San Francisco’s health guidelines if it took place in Breed’s own city. San Francisco has issued stricter guidance than the state for several types of businesses, including restaurants, which were not supposed to seat groups larger than six indoors or outdoors unless everyone lived together.”
“I cannot emphasize enough how important it is that everyone act responsibly to reduce the spread of the virus,” Breed said in a statement Nov. 10. “Every San Franciscan needs to do their part so that we can start moving in the right direction again.”
Newsom issued an apology to the California public for his hypocritical indiscretion via his daily press briefing, but lied even during his apology. He claimed there were 12 people and they ate outdoors. Some reported that there were actually 20 people at the dinner party. There are also figures for the bar tab ranging from $12,000 to $15,000.
Newsom and Breed aren’t alone. The Globe covered another stunning act of hypocrisy: after ordering restaurants in Los Angeles to close, former State Senator, now Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl enjoyed an outdoor meal at a Santa Monica restaurant last Tuesday, Fox News reported. And San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo appears to have broken health protocols in celebrating Thanksgiving with family members outside of his own household, NBC Bay Area reported.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was caught on security cameras visiting a San Francisco hair salon for a wash and blow-out, in September.
U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein has been photographed numerous times walking through airports without a mask on.
Is it any wonder Californians are infuriated with Gov. Newsom threatening to impose another total statewide lockdown order. The Globe has been told that it looks like there will definitely be a minimum three week total shutdown in the state, likely by the end of week, taking effect the following week.
Good luck with that. The people of California have had enough of this caste system.

You said it. It’s ENOUGH.
Hey fellow Californians! Had enough of these hypocritical @$$ holes? It’s not enough that they violate their own rules and rub our noses in it and then go to establishments that we could only dream about going to. When that punk Newsom expands the lockdown support those establishments that stay open and defy him!
Comrades
Face it you’re not bigger than life, a rising star, or truly elite or tech essential….
Isaiah 2:17-20, “And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. And the idols He shall utterly abolish. And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of His majesty, when He ariseth to shake terribly the earth. In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;”
So all the San Franfreakshow political PIGS feed at the same overpriced trough, eh???
Figures….
When do we rise up against these tyrannical hypocrites????

It’s not that they dined out that is the issue. It is that we stayed shutdown for way too long in the first place, and didn’t just say screw you, and go ahead and open up anyway.
Newsom isn’t a dictator, although it looks like he is very happy being one, and millions are fine with wanting one.
I am astounded that so many people went along with this nonsense from the very beginning. I want the old world back, before the overlords had people cowering at home, and the people were fine becoming serfs.
